Woman called me from [protected] at 2:38 pm MST
Sent $25 dollar a month commitment Aug. 11, no email confirmation as of 8/15 when I called at 12:32 pm MST on 8/15/2023 they said they couldn’t send confirmation of my commitment because it is “still pending” even though the money came out of my bank 8/14/2023 and then he put me on hold and had me routed to voice mail. At 2:38 a woman called me and said they couldn’t acknowledge receipt of my money and tell me when the donation would be taken out of my bank on a monthly basis because it was “still pending” even though they had the cash. I also, told both of them to go ahead and cancel my donations because I think I got a scam site and not the real Shriners because it wasn’t professional. Both the man on the first call and the woman on the second call said my donations can not be cancelled? The she tried to tell me that they did send confirmation and I needed to check my SPAM FOLDER, I told her I was IT professional and it is not in my SPAM. I ASKED HER TO SEND IT AGAIN SHE SAID SHE COULDN'T because it is PENDING. Both CSR’s are reading from the same script and it is not acceptable. The bank shows this as “SHRINERSHOSPITAL Classy, In ST-Y5T5E4W9Y0X3 CAROL A FARLEY” and it was cashed 8/14/2023.
I signed up for monthly donations to: St. Jude, Wounded Warriors, ASPCA, Humane Society of US, UNICEF and ALL OF THEM SENT ME confirmation emails WITHIN ONE HOUR OF MY COMMITTMENT. It has been 5 DAYS AND NO CONFIRMATION INFORMATION FROM SHRINERS.
Desired outcome: Don't give me the "pending" bull, don't tell me I can't cancel my donation committment, just cancel it and get me confirmation right now.
I do not believe that Shriners exploits children. My complaint was against the support company that Shriners hired to answer inquiries about donations and the lack of training of those CSAs had. I believe the Shriners help many children and that many parents don't want their children put out there for these ads and Alex and his family are fine with being used to tell their story as well as Caleb and the others. That is one reason the old ads are used and another reason is the cost of advertising. Shriner's wants the money to go to the children not to advertising. Again, my complaint was with the CSA not the Shriners charity.

Both of you sound like you have mental health issues. Shriners was amazing and saved my family from bankruptcy. They did spinal surgery on both of my daughters and we never received a bill of any kind. Using old commercials is not illegal it's still the same message.
Regarding the donation I donate monthly and I got a confirmation email immediately and I get one every month.
You apparently have a problem understanding the point of my "complaint" or do not have the capacity to read and understand at the same time. I will explain in words you might understand. The complaint was not about Shriner's Hospital, it was about their customer service agents competency, professionalism, or perhaps did not understand the question in English. I live on SS (which I paid into for 52 years) and have to budget, without confirmation of the monthly commitment I made to Shriners I can't count of the right amount being taken out of my account. I have nothing against Shriners but I do expect their CSAs to be polite, professional, respectful, and competent and when they can't answer the question I expect to be transferred, one time, to their team manager who should be able to answer the question. End of your lesson in paying attention to what you read.
Shriners exploits sick children. They are Scripted. They hav children on their commercials that are now grown up put still showed as young children with Shriners blankets. Please stop the scam
