According to the text I received after using curbside pickup for the first time I was charged $183.40. When I checked the amount against my bank statement it showed I had actually paid $220.77. I immediately called the dispensers on-line number I was given. I called again FIVE times and received no call back. When I tried to get ahold of a manager I listened to the message on their answering service before it went to a busy signal.
I went back to calling the dispenser on-line number continuously until someone finally answered. When she did she explained to me that customer are charged the full amount of their order even on those things that are not in stock. She said the amount will be corrected in 3 to 5 business days.
I am completely shocked by this policy. The money came out of my checking account within minutes of placing my order but will take 3 to 5 business days to be refunded back to my account? Ridiculous! More than likely I will find myself arguing with Walmart Customer Service about the amount refunded me on that day.
I will never ever use Walmart's curbside pick up again and I will make it a point to warn anyone who tries this service of the shenanigans and games Walmart likes to play when it come to online orders. Shame on you Walmart!
Desired outcome: Refund due me
That's how they operator. And they also make it so that ou can't see your cart so you can't make an order without editing or deleting orders. Most time you can't event see your cart. This is just a way to stop the deliveries that you have already paid for.
It's not so much that the store doesn't issue the refund immediately it's more that your bank doesn't process it immediately. Banks have a habit of delaying credits probably because for those few days they can make money on your money if they could they would also delay sending it out.
