While I was on vacation in Florida, I booked a rental car through this company. I paid in advance and when I went to pick up the car, they said I needed to purchase additional car insurance from them. I told them that I already paid everything in full and I received a reservation number and that trying to charge me additional money now, is not right. They told me they would not give me a car unless I purchased additional car insurance from them. I had pre-paid for a rental car for a week and the car insurance they wanted me to purchase was going to cost almost as much as the total for renting the car for the week. I informed the sales agent that I was unaware of the additional fee for the extra car insurance. So, I refused to buy their additional car insurance and I told them to cancel my order. I told the sales agent I would get my car rental from someplace else. An hour later, I rented a car from Dollar car rental. Dollar car rental gave me no hassle nor did they try to hit me with hidden fees. The price I was quoted was the final price. Now, Holiday cars won't refund me my money! They said anything within 48 hours of the rental time, is non refundable. This company is a scam. They use bait and switch tactics and unethical business practices. Now, I am reporting them to the Better Business Authority and then I will take it from there, because I will not sit by idle and let them steal my money!
