On June 4th I purchased a dress at Ross in zip code 23713. When the girl checked the dress out, she was very nice and said that because of the Pandemic, you will have 60 days if you need to return this. I was very surprised and said that I thought it was 30 days. She said no, we are allowing 60 days. I thanked her and left the store. Because of treatments I must have, it is very difficult for me to get out of the house. In fact, I have not had the time nor energy until this past week to even try the dress on. Since I had a treatment on Tuesday, I asked my husband if he would take time to take me over to Ross today, in between his appointments. When I went into Ross, the
lines were slow, but finally I was called to the counter. I had my credit card out, the receipt slip and the dress folded neatly in the Ross bag. She started to fill out a paper card, and said because it was over 30 days, it could not be put back on my credit card, and I would have to take this paper card she handed to me. Of course, this was after I had to give her my government ID, (Driver's License) and getting a lecture that it has always been 30 days. She did everything except accuse me of creating a fraudulent transaction. I must say that it made me very angry. I am 75 years of age and did not need or deserve this kind of treatment. Now I am stuck using a $24.49 piece of paper and trying to find something to replace it. (By the way, the dress was approximately 4-5 inches too long and drug on the floor. I called a seamstress and she wanted $35.00 to hem it. Out of the question!)
