Yesterday, Sunday, Oct. 24, I took my Granddaughter to the Spirit Halloween store in Ocoee, FL in the West Oaks Mall. She chose several, but she was not able to try them on because the store didn't allow it... too bad, most stores do allow it now, well no biggie I thought we will buy her favorite of the three and go down the hall to JC Penney and use their dressing room and return it if it didn't fit. Yes, you guessed it, it didn't fit so we took it back (all this happened in less that 20 minutes... purchase to return). WOW was I surprised when I was advised they take no returns... would have been nice if there were signs saying that by the costumes. I was very unhappy, you can't try something on and you can't return it... and by the way you did not have a size larger so even if I wanted to exchange it for a larger size, which we did, you didn't have that option... unacceptable to me, but not unacceptable to the manager who showed me a sign to the left of the register I was at, the sign was on top of the monitor which by the way was above my head, and I was facing right at the girl at the register I was using, not the other registers monitor. My register was not facing me it was facing to the side, so there was no way I could see that sign. To add insult to injury, at no time during my purchase was I advised there were no returns. Why wouldn't to add that courtesy comment to make sure your customers are aware? By the way, when I visited my Granddaughter two weeks ago in Seminole, FL, the store there in Largo did take returns, and I know for a fact because my daughter brought one back... where is the consistency in policy between locations, you are all Spirit Halloween, are you not. Anyway not happy so had to let you know... since I am sure this will most likely mean nothing and result in no change, I will simply handle it my way, and no longer be visiting or purchasing anything from Spirit Halloween in the future, which is unfortunate because I like the store and I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there over the years on costumes, decorations, etc. IF we had the opportunity to try the costume on, and purchased it, and then returned it I can understand no refund, because we tried it on... but to not let you try it on and not offer refunds... which by the way has not been the case in all the years I've gone there (I did not go there last year due to the pandemic). I am going to miss the store but there is a principle here, especially since the item was bought and returned in 30 minutes or less. Thanks for at least taking the time to read this and maybe one day you will consider what is best for your customers... PS - If my granddaughter was younger, her normal size would not have been an issue, but she's 16 and different outfits can fit teens differently. Anyway, I've taken up enough of your time. Carole
