Steak 'n Shake

My names deontae thompson, I am a chef at steak n shake in regency in jacksonville fl. I was suspended by manager whitney for 7 days. There's was no communication between us and I get a call today july 3, 2019 @ 6:17 pm asking where was I at by manager dawn, then I told her what I was told sunday and that was to come back to work on saturday by manager whitney. Then manager whitney got in the phone and said "if I cant come in tonight then for me not to come in at all and then hung up in my face"

We frequently dine at the restaurant. However, over the past few months, the cleanliness, friendliness, and service have all been very poor. The restaurant is in dire need of a good scrubbing of the floors as well as repairs to the booths. Tonight, the two waitresses were doing all they could to keep up while the on duty manager sat and talked with the cooks and a person, whom I assume, was an employee but never recognized that customers were waiting to be seated and/or place an order. It wasn't until about six people walked out that the manager decided to end her conversation and started cleaning the grill. Disappointed in the restaurant.
