Lawrence Harrison a veteran, cannot get my prescription filled by CVS although CVS is my only choice for prescription filling in Inverness FL, likely due to a GSA or E-Cats contract CVS has with the government. I was seen on 1/8/23 by Quick Care in Inverness FL, (also Veterans only choice in Inverness FL when the VA clinics are closed on weekends. I was given a prescription which was sent to CVS in Inverness FL. I took the VA paperwork for the prescription billing to the CVS to pick up my prescription. The pharmacist said they cannot bill the VA, therefore my prescription is still sitting at the CVS pharmacy in Inverness FL. The lack of compassion and urgency shown by this pharmacist is astounding. I contacted the VA clinic in Lecanto on Monday 1/9/23 who faxed the billing instructions to this pharmacy on 1/9/23. The pharmacist still cannot figure out billing and cannot be bothered to learn how to properly bill a VA prescription. I am sick and cannot get my prescription because CVS pharmacist does not know how to bill a VA prescription. This is unacceptable. I am requesting CVS corporate contact the local Inverness FL CVS and instruct them on how to bill a VA prescription. I need my prescription today. I should have had this taken care of on Sunday 1/8/23 when I dropped the prescription and billing instructions.
