I purchased a couch for my son moving into his new apartment. I was sent a $50 rewards coupon for spending over $1,000. I used the coupon to purchase a $100.00 rug. The rug did not fit or match my room. I returned it 2 days later. The manager said the policy of big lots was it was a one-time coupon (well no kidding. All coupons are one time but it was a return and coupon to use in big lot stores!) and I could not get that coupon back to use on something else. I was refunded my $50 but no $50 coupon given back. The manager and assistant manager did their best to help me with the corporate office. The representative finally agreed that they would issue me a one time only coupon replacement for life and it would be received within 15-20 minutes on my email. I waited but it was much longer than that time. I looked at my email the following day and still nothing. I earned that $50 coupon. I spend thousands of dollars at big lots. They give you something, then take it right back like that? If I knew I would have never used it for that rug. This is disgusting. I am in there every week spending money. Big lots should be ashamed of themselves and to put their employees in that position so customers get angry at them when it is the corporate office at fault. Disgusting. Maybe ocean state job lots need my money more.
