On August 7, 2019 I was told to make an appointment for a wheel alignment to secure timely service.
In the past week I had a tire rotation with Les Schwab and was told that the car needed a wheel alignment. I I returned on August 7, but it was too late to have the work done and was told to make an appointment for timely service. I made the appointment for 11:00 AM the following day on August 8, 2019.
When I arrived on the eight of August at the appointed time of 11:00 AM was told that it would take about an hour.
They didn't even put my car on the rack till 12:30, an hour and half later. At 12:38 (eight minutes later) it was done. What could possibly happen in 8 minutes for a wheel alignment ?
Was told in the written report that they aligned four wheels from camber adjusted to specs 76 wheel torque - lock in cup holder suggest keep up with tire pressure - then that only a two wheel adjustment was needed and charged $89.99
Asked at the front desk why did they want me to make an appointment for 11:00 AM when they didn't start on the car till 12:30 and how does a wheel alignment finish in 8 minutes?
I was told by the front office person that the front tire only needed air that was it, not what was said in the report and invoice. The attendant said I will be charged for only a two wheel alignment not four. The longer wait was because they didn't have the needed backup equipment to perform better service though they were hoping to get better service equipment. I left by 1:00 PM that was two hours of wait time for an 8 minute wheel alignment that only needed air in one tire - how off the wall is that ? first time so dissatisfied with LES Schwab.
I've had a relationship with Les Schwab for a number of years, all my tires are from Les Schwab and always had great service .This was the first where the information given and the credibility of service was questioned. A refund for the 8 minute service can be the resolution.
