Hello to whom it concerns: first of all my name is benjamin I have 35 years of experience of working with the public as well as presidents.. Vp's ceo's area mangers supervisors so on and so forth... Being in the auto industry as a financial director.. I started at the bottom and worked my way to the top of the department and have opened up dealerships from ground level... My last job was ten years... But semi retired now just doing consulting... I have a positive attitude towards the people I come in contact with and treat them with respect... Unfortunately today I had a terrible experience and was treated rudely... If it happened to me.. How many others??? I went to von's on the 27th of aug to do some shopping tried to get two whole chickens that were priced for.[protected]@lb... Didn't have any... Got a rain check.. Today 09/29/2019 @ I went in to pick up the chicken for the weekend... Got to the check out put my items on conveyer with the two chickens... Cashier was george he started ringing up my items when he got to the chicken's... I told him I have a rain check from 09/27/2019 and they are.88 lb... That's when I was miss treated... He rang up all my items without the chicken and demanded payment??? I asked are you going to ring up the chicken? He said"I would have to go back to the meat dept. And have them re-weight and put another sticker on it".. I said can you just punch in the weight and charge the appropriate price? He said no" I said this is a big inconvenience for me the consumer... I said i'll wait here have the bag person run back there... He said oh you are going to be rude and not let this person behind go thru... I was in the middle of the transaction...??? What happens when you need a price check or the milk carton is leaking or some goods are damaged with the consumer not knowing... The cashier notices and sends a runner to replace... And everyone has to wait a few min. Just like traffic... That's a valued employee and good customer satisfaction but george insisted that I paid for the items so his line would check moving... And when the runner comes up with the chicken I could get back in line.. I said that's not right and very inconvenient.. I guess i'll call the corp. Office and complain about the service... Then he started yelling at me saying it's my fault he can't ring them... I was never told I had to have the meat dept. Re issue a rain check sticker so he could scan it... So all my items are on the counter trying to bag my items as he is ringing up the customer behind me... Then the bag boy returns with the chickens... He finished the transaction on the customer behind me as my items we still in the bagging area because I only had one bag and wanted the chickens on the bottom... I said thanks to the bag boy and this service i'm getting is terrible, george say I refuse to ring up the chicken go to another line and have someone else do it... Very un professional!!! So that's what I did as well as explained the situation to the asst. Director... Nice lady no power.. I mentioned he needs to be suspended for his unethical behavior... Give him some time off to reflect on how to treat customers with respect and common courtesy not like it is an inconvenience for him... Bottom line very bad for george he took the problem personal.. And number two he didn't know how to ring up the chickens manually... There is a way he needs to be trained or showed how to do that!!! And take a few customer relation classes... If he knew how to ring up the chickens... None of the bs would have happened I wouldn't have got my blood pressure up and wasted time... I do expect an apology... Or I guess I could go to albertsons which is a mile away up the street on rancho california... But why should I have to.. Just wish the experience was better... I came to the return counter at vons Temecula and waited for atleast 30 minutes before I just left.. one of the employees said the lady was "busy upstairs" and couldn't come to the counter to help the customers... ridiculous customers should be prioritized over whatever the hell she was doing upstairs. It felt inconsiderate and rude standing there for that long shame
