The Ross location in La Quinta California profiled my boyfriend in the men’s department.
We walked in and I went to the women’s section and he went to the men’s section. He was the only male in that section at the time. Within 5 min of shopping, I hear the main register say on the intercom, “ Can I have security check the Mens department please.”
My boyfriend is BLACK. He was the only one in the men’s department. He was profiled and I am really upset that security was called to watch my boyfriend shop for a pair of pants.
When we arrived at the register, a different woman was checking us out and she felt the same way. She was a WHITE woman JUST LIKE me.
We can’t afford much and we go to this store because it’s dress for less! It is entirely unacceptable to be profiled this way.
I really hope that there is something that can be done about this.
Desired outcome: Give him enough to buy pants without being profiled as black in your stores.
Ross Dress for Less - defective shoe
On 5/24/2019 while visiting my son in Phoenix, Az, I purchased a pair of black Life Stride Simply Comfort shoes which I have worn only a few times to church. They practically look new. Last Sunday I noticed that the inside seam of the right shoe was coming apart. I got my receipt & went into my local La Quinta, Ca store but they said it had been too many months since I purchased them. I explained to the manager that both shoes had been worn the same & that the other one was perfectly good. She would not gave me a full or partial refund. I paid for my merchandise & told her I would right you this letter.
