Insurance was cancelled while insured was sick with COVID-19 and was unable to open or pay his bills. Insured is an 88-year-old Marine Corp veteran who has been a long time AAA customer and continues to have his cars insured with AAA. The AAA office refuses to reinstate his insurance (The expiration grace period was only two days ago) and wants to write a new policy that will cost the insured another $200 per year and require a "virtual" inspection of the home.
The insured's name is Bruce Lamb and his policy number is CHO [protected].
His proxy handling this issue is Mark Taylor, acting with Limited Power of Attorney, and can be reached at [protected]. The insured is not mobile and is under 24/7 care.
Desired outcome: Insured just wants his policy reinstated without going through the renewal process. He wants to remain a AAA customer, but wants to be treated like a valued, long term, loyal customer.
