Lowe's - Garage door opener installation

Hello Lowes,
First, I wanted to inform you that my experience with your Handy contracted technicians has been the worst experience I've ever had. I purchased the Chamberlain RO70 from the Lowes in 2225 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista, CA91915 on March 11, 2021 inside the store.
My first appointment was on March 31, 2021 with Handy technician Frank. He informed me at the time of the appointment that he had never installed the "Chamberlain RO70" and asked why I wanted this particular product installed. He went further to say that I could go back to Lowes to return the product that I paid so much for and he could install a Liftmaster instead which would take half the time. I told him I wanted this product because it saves overhead space and is the newest of its kind equipped with smart features. I was not only shocked to hear this from a contractor but upset that he attempted to talk me out of having the product installed. I told him I was not going to return anything and wanted this product installed. Frank then did a cursory inspection of the area where he was going to install and mentioned if I wanted this to be installed properly I had to remove my overhead rack on the left side of the garage where the outlet was and obtain lag nuts and 1/4 piece of plywood in order to secure the garage opener. He then said I had to re-book the appointment once I had this done and would be able to have the garage door opener installed the next time.
The second appointment was then book for April 5, 2021. I purchased the supplies that were requested by Handy technician and met with Esteban the technician. At this appointment, the technician inspected the garage and looked where I was going to have the garage door opener installed and said that the he could not install the opener because my garage door was not "balanced". He mentioned any outside garage door opener company can do this for a cost of $50 dollars. I then asked several times if this is all I needed to successfully have the garage door opener installed and he said Yes. Esteban stated, "Once you get the door balanced, then the opener can be installed. So I immediately called Garage Door Medic in front of him and booked an appointment with Garage door medics on April 6, 2021. The total cost of the balance was $100, plus I had the track wheels replaced for $185 and lubricated.

Garage door medics appointment was made on April 6, 2021. The garage door was balanced and the cost was $90 dollars with no further issues.
The third appointment was made with the help of Lowes on April 8, 2021. Michael. Micheal inspected the area where work was going to be commenced and mentioned right away that there was not enough room for the opener to go into. He needed 1 ½ inch of available tension rod for the opener to secure correctly. He looked at the other side and said there was enough rod available but I would have to remove the overhead racks but did not have a power source within 6 feet. He was very apologetic and said I would have to hire someone else to adjust the tension rod because he did not have the proper tool to make the adjustments.
The fourth appointment was on March 23, 2021 with technician Frank who was the same guy who stated he had no experience in installing the Chamberlain opener. He came out to my home and attempted to install the product. He was able to install but was unsuccessful of working the garage door opener. After 6 hours at my home, he informed that the opener was defective and that I needed to go back to lowes for an exchange and rebook the appointment. . I have lost time from work and have been very stressed out by this ordeal that has caused me time and money. I told him I was not going to waste more time with this product and would be reporting this issue to Lowes associate and make them aware of this situation.
At this point, I expect to a full refund of $500 dollars of the money I spend and for compensation in dealing with the incompetence and mediocre service from Handy services contracted by Lowes. This has been the worst customer experience I've have ever had! Unacceptable at every level for a loyal customer.
Thank you,

Laura Valdez

Desired outcome: Full Compensation of $500 refund to my Visa debit card
