Cathedral City Police Department

I'm probably one of the safest drivers in CC because I'm newer here from WA state. This is in regards to speeding violation citation # CC302824 case # CC302824JR. Cathedral Canyon goes from 35mph to 25mph. I was going 36 when Officer Bird ticketed me for going 36mph. Yes I was speeding and broke the law. I was an easy soft target, a white male in an electric vehicle. I was the perfect easy revenue maker. I have yet to see a pool truck or gardener truck speeding up the hill get a violation. I am a retired RN living on retirement. I'm not understanding the CC Police Dept. priorities. People are driving 85+ on 111, tailgating, going straight in a turn lane and weaving in and out of traffic. I've actually never scene so many people going through red lights in my life. Much more of a dangerous and potentially fatal violation than going 36mph. This was my first violation and I now pull over on Cathedral Canyon to let people pass me.
