When Sears went through bankruptcy late last year, they refused to renew my Master Protection Agreement that was up for renewal as it had been every year for the past 20+ years. I called Sears to renew the policy but was told I would have to change to another plan for a while; which I did and have been paying for every month. I was told that after all the bankruptcy problems cleared, I could renew my previous policy. Not knowing when this happened. I had not heard from them so I checked with them and was told that I could only renew the plan for some appliances because of my failure to contact them within the time limit (re: Anna L. Manager at the Sears Maintenance Agreement Customer Service Center in West Hills, CA. - she has no full last name or employee number to track her) after the bankruptcy was all settled. Of course they never told me this or let me know that the window was now open to call them. Nor did they call me like they had for 20+ years to renew my plan. It seems like Sears has stooped to a new low to gouge its "loyal" customers.
