Denny's - Customer service/rude waitress

My mother is a 64 year old disabled woman who uses a walker to get around. She has multiple sclerosis. She is a frequent, regular customer at Denny's in Blythe, Ca. She enjoys dining alone and sits at the same table every day. About 3 weeks ago she told me about this particular waitress who was giving her a hard time, refusing to wait on her, ignoring her when she worked the section my mom sat in. I didn't think much of it at first. I just told my mom to ignore her and ask for a different waitress.

Yesterday, I asked my mom why she had not been going to Denny's the last couple of days. What she told me made me beyond livid.

On November 30, 2023 at about 2:45 pm, my mom was entering the restaurant and as she walked into the building the waitress who was giving her grief was leaving the restaurant. As they passed each other, the waitress yelled out loudly "Oh! Just in time!" My mom said that no one else was around so she assumed she was talking to her. My mom asked "Just in time for what?" As the waitress passed through the first door into the small lobby where the claw machine is, she said "Just in time that I don't have to hang out around here and wait on a b* like you!" Then she walked out the second door and left the building.

Shocked, my mom turned around and said "Did you hear that? She just called me a b*!" Nobody was around. No manager. The only waitress was too far away to have heard it. My mom was so upset, she left in tears. She barely told me what happened last night. I reached out to the manager this morning and he said he has been having numerous complaints about her. Yet, he did nothing about what I told him. Instead, he tore off a piece of paper and wrote down an 800 number and told me to call corporate. I am beyond angry that the manager did not even try to do his job. So, I am writing this hoping to get some justice from somewhere. This waitress does not deserve to keep her job. She should not get to keep working without any kind of disciplinary action taken. This is an outrage.

Desired outcome: At this point, I want this waitress to be terminated. At the very least, I want her suspended and to apologize to my mother. But I believe she deserves to be terminated.
