Our propane tank was at 40% when we returned to our winter home in November of 2022. Our renter whom we had put on the account, #[protected], called to report the tank was at 30% on 10/29/22. From then on we had no service from AmeriGas. Both our calls were very difficult to understand due to language barriers and we tried the website with no help for our renter as well. The tank went so low, she had to move out until we were forced to find another company to provide propane. We literally begged AmeriGas to help her. Their local property was locked up so she couldn't talk to anyone as we always had. We were told not the tank was their property and no one could move it so it sat in our yard all winter until we returned in June. We were surprised it was gone when we arrived on June 9th.
We are refusing to pay a bill for $149.99 for tank removal because the agreement states a charge will be for "canceling without cause." That is not true of us.
Desired outcome: We would like that charge removed from our account with AmeriGas. We are sending them a check for the propane bill which we also question but are willing to do that to make all this go away.
