I recently installed a BDX2200KU blu-ray disk player. It never worked right. I called Toshiba's support number. The guy said to power off the device, unplug it, wait 10 minutes, then try it again. While I was waiting the 10 minutes, the guy hung up on me. I called them back, and they gave me the same steps, plus said it was probably a bad HMDI cable. The problem was that after on pause for 10 minutes, it would power off, and the DVD would have to be started over. This happens with both blu-ray and regular DVD's. I don't think a bad HDMI cable would cause that. I called my AV guy, and his first question was "Why Toshiba?" I didn't buy the player, my daughter did. He's coming over this week to install a non-Toshiba blu-ray DVD player.
