In 2019 I asked Upromise to set up a 529 savings plan for the Florida prepaid. They gave me an account number and I transferred just over $1200 on May 29th 2019 they claimed they sent a check to that account and then again on January 14th 2020 another check for a little over $55. They even provided me with supposed check numbers for these checks, but cannot or will not provide proof or copies of these checks. I contacted Florida Prepaid to see where the money might be and they have NO record of the account number I was provided by Upromise (Fla Prepaid use a longer account number than Upromise provided).

Florida 529 savings tried to help me but with no record of a non-existant account number and no sign or any finds having ever been received.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to actually speak with anyone at Upromise and the only way is a painfully slow email process through their web site and basically no on there seems to care. While it may not seem to be a huge amount of money, it is still about $1255 that I could apply towards my daughters students loans.

Anyone have any suggestions or a similar experience? MH

Claimed loss: $1256.48 to be exact

Desired outcome: Full refund and especially a better response
