I initially had three separate accounts with UOwn Leasing. I paid one of them off in good faith. I understand that I agreed to the terms of my leases, including the high costs associated with them. What I did not agree to was the excess money that they take from my account every two weeks. My payments should be $247.57 and $71.93 every two weeks. This month they took $319.50 extra which has overdrawn that account again. They took extra funds last month, and several times in the past. Every time they take funds that are unauthorized my account is overdrawn. I now have to call them every two weeks, and I speak with Alise (sp.?). She tells me that they "had an error" and she admits fault. They refund the money which takes about a week. They can take it out in a few seconds but cannot put it back immediately. They blame the bank. Well, I have spoken with my bank. UOwn does not refund the money they stole in a timely manner. Their "error" cost me $143.00 two weeks ago, and here we go again.
I am retired law enforcement with over 25 years of service, and I am on a fixed income. They obviously don't care about that. A few things I learned throughout the years are what bad business looks like, and that taking something that doesn't belong to you is theft. UOwn is guilty of both. Shameful.
