I recently made a purchase from Umi Tea Sets and I must say, I was not completely satisfied with my experience. I ordered a hot plate to use with my kettle that I had purchased from another store. However, when I tried to use it, I found that it took almost 30 minutes for the water to boil. I was quite surprised as I had expected it to work much faster.

After some investigation, I discovered that the hot plate required a 220V outlet, which was not compatible with the outlets in the US. Although the plug was compatible, there were no obvious electrical issues. I was disappointed to find that there was no mention of this power requirement in the product description, despite the page being specifically geared towards US customers.

When I contacted the seller, they offered me a full refund if I shipped the product back to China. However, the cost of shipping was over $60, which was more than the cost of the product itself. The seller then offered to refund me $15 if I decided to keep the product. While I appreciated the gesture, I was still disappointed that I had to pay for a product that did not work as expected.

To warn other US customers, I wrote a review on the company site detailing my experience. However, to my surprise, my review has not been posted yet. I hope that the company will take my feedback into consideration and update their product descriptions to include important information like power requirements.

Overall, while I appreciate the seller's attempts to resolve the issue, I was disappointed with my experience with Umi Tea Sets. I hope that they will take steps to improve their customer experience in the future.

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Umi Tea Sets. It took FOREVER for my order to arrive, like over a month. And to make matters worse, they didn't even send me a confirmation email or anything. I had to keep bugging them to get a tracking number.

When the package finally arrived, I was so excited to open it up and see my new tea set. But then I noticed that a bunch of the ceramic pieces were broken. Like, seriously? How hard is it to pack things properly for shipping?

And to top it all off, they didn't even send me everything I ordered. Like, what the heck? I only got one of some of the items I ordered, even though I clearly ordered multiple quantities.

But the thing that really got me was the bait-and-switch they pulled on me. They showed one tea tray in the listing, but then sent me a completely different one that didn't even match the set. Like, what's the point of advertising one thing and then sending something totally different?

When I tried to contact them about all these issues, they basically told me tough luck. They said I had to ship everything back to them at my own expense (which would have cost me over $100!) and they wouldn't do anything else to help me. They wouldn't even admit that it was their fault that the items were broken or missing.

Honestly, I would NOT recommend this site to anyone. Their products are low quality, their shipping is slow and unreliable, and their customer service is non-existent. Save yourself the hassle and find a different tea set supplier.
