Ulta Beauty review: Salon services-haircut

Saw Maria Palomar, a supposed “master” stylist, for a special they were offering to first time clients. A cut, some mysterious “treatment” and a blow dry.
She took her time and didn’t seem like she even knew how to approach my hair. This woman must be 50 years old and as a “master” (which I paid more for) I expected a bit more confidence. She must’ve put some chemical in my hair because she just left me in the sink with this treatment… the towel she wrapped my hair with smelled mildewy and I wonder if the rash I had to go to the dermatologist for now has to do with it.
She left one side of my bangs choppy and the other feathered… not sure why because that’s what I went in there to fix. My hair also didn’t feel soft after… it felt as if it was stripped and later I learned about perm solution… I didn’t give consent for her to perm my hair? My hair is straight and I would like to keep it that way, it is culturally significant to me as a woman of color and I told her that. She took it personally that I asked for my hair cuttings and thought it was because she’s Mexican? When really because of my indigenous beliefs I like to keep my hair clippings. I knew I was taking some kind of risk going to this salon but I didn’t expect something this bad. The store manager took my complaint over the phone yet Ulta never did anything. I had to go back into that horrible store to get a refund… I was told I also could try to sue but I didn’t know if it would be Ulta or the stylist herself? Either way Ulta did NOT help me and their customer service line is abhorrent.
I tried to have a deputy serve her court papers and they could not locate her…3 times according to the letter I got back from the sheriffs office. Something really weird is going on at the Marina Del Rey location. I sensed some weird racial discrimination from all the Spanish-Mexican women there. I being of Indigenous and Guatemalan descent. The stylist even left me mid hair cut to serve someone else as soon as I told her I was Guatemalan… just overall a horrifying and confusing experience and I want to see this woman lose her license. I have been struggling with racially based attacks and struggling to find a job and this haircut was supposed to help me feel better and it just added to the stress of my life.
Record your entire salon service because she was very sneaky with what she did to me.
And since without solid evidence and police don’t usually care about [censored]ty haircuts, I could not get access to the video surveillance.
