Ulta Beauty review: Hair appointment & makeup for my daughter's wedding

I had an appointment which I'd scheduled in March, and continued to check on until that date, to ensure everything was all set. This appointment was to have my makeup and hair done for my daughter's wedding. Both Friday and Saturday I received a text to confirm. Both times I sent back "C". This appointment was also marked as "formal event". As you can imagine, getting an appointment in or around Northampton is nearly impossible.
That being said, I had the appointment and showed up for it. I was told to go to the salon portion and someone would be with me shortly.
A clerk showed up, and initially acted like I never had an appointment. She said she couldn't find my name in the computer. I confirmed that I was indeed at the Hadley store. At this point she called over a manager who then informed me they called and canceled the appointment on Saturday, the day before because they didn't have a stylist scheduled. This is utterly inexcusable to cancel someone's appointment the day before the wedding, especially where it was scheduled months in advance! While I was there, they offered to check with the Springfield store which was 45 minutes away, and I was already 15 minutes away from the venue, and couldn't possibly make it back for my daughter's wedding at 2pm the same day! I asked if there was anyone there that could at least do my makeup and was told there was also no one available to do that!
I then called my daughter and asked her if her hair stylist and makeup artist could squeeze me in. Thankfully they did, but it cost me $240.00 to do this, and I had to kick in for their travelling expenses. I really don't have a budget that allows for random expenses.
