This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

The Third Watch DVD series that seen me was useless. The package was damaged when it arrived. One case inside was damaged. Of the DVD's I looked at and tried playing; one was scratched, one wouldn't play at all, and the audio wasn't with the video on two that I did play. I didn't tray all of the discs because that was enough for me to know I didn't want them.

The card enclosed with the merchandise stated to call or e-mail prior to returning. I have called and leave voice-mail twice and e-mailed them once. I got no response.

I have been in contact with my credit card company about this and they are working with me.

After I ordered them I started getting large internet purchases on my credit card (which has since been canceled). I'm wondering if the shoddy place is responsible for that too.

I've learned that unless it's a reputable place, and local, that you probably shouldn't purchase from them.

On Sept. 28th I bought the Carol Burnett Series DVD Set for all 11 seasons from tvaddicts.com. Could not find it anywhere else. I charged it to my credit card. A few days later it was charged to my credit card and to this day 10/28/07 I have yet to receive my order. I wrote the company and have yet to hear from them. And now when I try to get on there site it is closed for some reason and unreachable. I am going to contact my credit card company and lodge a complaint and get my money back one way or the other. I recommend that no one buys anything from this company. They seem to be frauds..

I filed a long complaint already at this site but it is under tvaddicts,com/dvddonkey.com (same people)
I had not received my dvd's within 7 weeks and I requested refund from the site with no response. Anyway 2 days ago I filled out papers at my bank (because I used a bankcard). and today they replaced the amount (164.62) into my account and they are after the company to reimburse them.
Please check with your credit card co. or bank card co. about being scammed. Hopefully you too can get your money back. Hope this helps someone.

I ordered set of DVD's from this company and never received any merchandise. They sent me a tracking number and said the item had been sent. The tracking number was bogus. They have refused to answer emails or phone messages and will not refund my money. I am pursuing legal action against this company. I do not know why Google continues to allow this company to be active on their website with all the complaints against it. They will just continue to scam people.

I ordered a complete set of Have Gun Will Travel DVDs. Got 6 discs, not properly packaged, not complete. Was promised replacement set. Same 6 discs, was promised a refund. Over one month later, no money, no product. I spent over $100.00(am retired, this was my Splurge for the year). I do not like to pay for unsatisfactory goods, I do not like to be lied to and I do not like to be strung along for this long by a company that, obviously has no intention of making good on its promise.

I have also been robbed by this so called"company". Purchased boxed dvd set on Dec 2 and they took payment the very next day! Purchase price was 69.99 yet received a bill for 95.32! As of Jan 10, 08 still have not received merchandise. After 6 e-mails(none returned) and 4 phone calls, finally was able to speak to live person which was very little help being she could hardly speak the English language! Rep said product was shipped out and then gave me a bogus tracking number for a Canadian shipping company.

This is my first time ripped off by an internet company. It looks like I am out $200 for the complete 39 episodes of "Foreign Intrigue." My list of complaints are as following: No email confirmation when money taken BUT NOT DELIVERED; No email reply when requested afterwards: No one available when follow-up calls made during their normal hours of operation - only option is to leave a message. Sounding off to via this service does nothing to get like this company off the internet. Any ideas who regulates this type of activity?

I have been trying since July 10th to receive the complete seasons of "Murder She Wrote" on dvd. For months they kept telling me it would be sent "next week", "by the end of the week", etc. I finally received the order in mid-August but Disc 4 was missing. They have promised since August to send me that Disc but it still has not arrived. Even worse, several of the discs are incomplete and have only 3 of the 5 stories listed. Others freeze and will not play. It is almost impossible to reach this company and dealing with them has been the worst nightmare of any of my purchasing experiences. Run from this website.

By means of this e-mail I would like to say that if I had not read the reviews regarding the complaints against TVAddicts.com I would have been another victim! Please allow me to elaborate: I am a fan of the 1960s TV series "Land of the Giants" and when I found the above-mentioned website on the Internet I wanted to order it, but some strange reason something kept me from ordering it. And then when I read the reviews regarding TVAddicts.com I am really glad that I did not go ahead and order it! What it all boils down to is this: Had I gone ahead and ordered the DVDs I would have been another victim of a scam!

I ordered Thirtysomething on DVD and when it came, the DVD's looked like they had been recorded off the television. They had station id's in the bottom right of the television screen.

I look at it this way. I paid $500 for the complete set of the Sopranos on DVD and it is perfect. If something has not been released on DVD or won't be for whatever reason and you have to resort to buying these types of DVD's, well, I guess you get what you pay for if you want to see your shows and really how different is it from someone taping it for you.

I ordered 2 series - Ally McBeal and Judging Amy. Both sets had at least 7 defective DVD's in that they were either incomplete or would stall in the middle of them. Both also had Commercials on them. I contacted the customer service department and have been promised for 6 months now that they would send me replacements. I have asked where to send the DVD's since I no longer want to wait for the new ones. All they do is send me an email apologizing for my inconvenience and then say that they'll be shipping the new DVD's along right away.

Here's the latest email response from them I just received today.

Dear debra walter,

We apologize for the inconvenience. We will follow this to our manufacturer and guarantee that you will receiving your replacement set in a soonest time as possible. Again our apology for the delay of receiving your replacement set.

Beware people!

Thank you,
Marycris

This DVD Provider does not deliver! - www.tvaddicts.com (also known as www.dvddonkey.com) does not deliver according to their advertised "100% Guarantee". Beware: Despite extensive email & written correspondence, they have not lived up to their self-proclaimed reputation. ie you pay for goods to be delivered (DVD's) and they do not deliver!

I ordered the complete series of Twelve O'Clock High from TV addicts. Took forever to finally get it. When I finally did it was very poor quality and the complete series was not complete. It appears that someone just taped it off tv. The episodes are out of order and some are even missing totally. Others are taped twice. Very unprofessionally done and I don't recommend using this company. Product quality is POOR.

Have been writing to company almost a year about a defective DVD set which of course was quite expensive but very defective, more than half the set had episodes that could not be watched or were duplicates or froze constantly. Have not gotten any reply to last 2 e-mails, before that they at least replied, eventually, and stated that replacements discs would be sent out soon.

Product delivered was not as advertised. Several episodes omitted, some duplicated, many would not play, almost all included portions of commercials, most were provided out of order - all of which are contrary to the advertised product. Was told replacement would be sent - has been several months and still haven't received replacement. Further contact attempts have gone unanswered!. BEWARE!

I placed an order for this series in July they said that delivery would be 4 to 6 weeks. It has been almost 4 and half mths later with promises of it coming at the end of every mth or week. I can not get hold ot them now, my e mails are been sent back, I am posting a complaint here and reporting them to the Canadian police, so PLEASE be aware any one out there who is thinking of dealing with this very unprofessional company!

I ordered a DVD from TVADDICTS online on October 24, 2007 and they did process the payment on my credit card. It said on their site that I should receive my DVD within 12 to 14 days. It has been a week and a day. I hope I did not get scammed. What do I do if I did? Please help. Their number is 1-877-TV-SERIES. I haven't called them yet, because I had a certain suspicion that this company might be crooked.

Johnny Cash dvd set purchased that advertised approx. 50 tv shows within. Less than half actually on discs. Tape quality is rubbish. Cost $250USD. Total fraud! Have been trying nightly for 6 months to get a response! DO NOT USE TVADDICTS.COM. Pity I never looked into complaints board. Never buy anything via internet is my advice. Ren...

After purchasing, in good faith, DVDs from this company that were blank, they promised to resend in thirty days. Of course they immediately took the funds off my card. This was in February, 2007. No response to this date. They also changed their name to another. They offered to make it right and still no DVDs.

I also have been a victim of fraud by this "company". The dvd set I ordered came after many months and is defective, many episodes have been repeated, some dvd's have totally different series on them, the logo for discovery kids TV channel is on all episodes that we have attempted to view. I could go on and on-the company never answers their calls or returns messages and all e-mails come back as "Undeliverable". My credit card company is working fantastic with me and I have now become a victim of credit card fraud--I"m sure from this so called company. Stay away from them!

Note: Duckman is finally available, legally. Google it and you'll be directed to Amazon, where you can pre-order it. Or order it at a site you TRUST.

NOTE: DO NOT ORDER IT FROM THE CROOKS AT TVADDICTS.COM or their equally crooked other sites.

Company is fraudulent! I ordered Duckman The Complete Animated Series in December '07 as a Christmas gift for my husband and have still not received product (now being 5/08). I've called numerous times & e-mailed numerous times to no avail. I would like to take some sort of action, but don't know what to do.

I purchased Third Watch dvd set in August 2007. Needless to say dvds were missing, some were duplicates, some were defective, and so on.. I called them and they told me to send back the entire set and in three weeks I would receive a new set because they could not refund me my money. I have e-mailed them everyday for over a year. I used to receive e-mails from them telling me they would be sending me the tracking number of my dvds as soon as they came in that they wre on back order. Lately, I don't hear from them at all. I don't understand why doesn't the Consumer Fraud Dept. of the government get involved. These people are still on the internet advertising..Something should be done. I've saved all of their bogus emails. Alot of good that does for me...

To Whom It May concern: About 1 year ago my mother ordered the complete series of ODD COUPLE. The quality was extremely poor and some episodes wouldn't even open up to watch. Although my mother was refunded partial payment your company claimed they would send postage paid envelopes to mail back these dvds that were of poor quality and in return would send us good quality dvds. I think that this is a shame. I think that it is horrible to take advantage of people and make claims that you don't follow thru on and take peoples' hard earned money. If you are interested in making things right please contact me at the above e-mail address. I still have faith that this e-mail will come across the desk of a good person that wants to make things right.
Signed Amy Richardson; daughter of Nancy Richardson who is the purchaser of the dvds.

Hello,

I am an Australian customer who purchased the complete Batman 1960s television series on TVAddicts.com. The DVDs which arrived were cheap pirated copies and four out of the eight DVDs did not work. The three that did work were very ordinary picture quality and one of them was mislabelled. Subsequent emails to the company have so far been ignored. Is there any US agency dealing with these clowns?

Well, I just joined the club. I ordered a dvd set and got the same run around as described by these other victims. My greatest regret is that this provider is a scam; I thought I had found a source for some of my favorite old shows. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

I agree with all stated above. Everything is 100% true. However, I WAS able to finally get someone to respond to my complaints by going on to the website and using the "Live Chat". That helped tremendously in getting a refund. Although I was still out the shipping costs.

I will try the bank route. I too have gotten the apology e-mail, with a promise for replacement. The Scrubs series set came with bunk DVDs recorded off NBC with commercials (those that worked).I started in Mid December,so we will see.I called them again today and left a message. If at all else possible, copyright laws have been broken ,even if the company is in Canada.

I also ordered a dvd series of My Three Sons at ultimate dvd shop.com which i assume is the same scam artists as tvaddicts.com and like everyone else, never received the dvd's and I also got no replies to my emails or phone calls- so looks like the S.O.B.'S got
another sucker. How can they still have a website and get away with this s..! Where is our law enforcement? They cannot trace the credit card transactions somehow?

Is the company really located in Cananda? I have had a terrible experience with them and can't find out where they are located. There has to be something that one can do do get their money back.

Same thing happened to me. I ordered dvd's back in may of 2007 received them and they are faulty defective dvds. Emailed, and emailed and they tell me they are back logged going on 6 months. 100 dollars out the window! How many excuses can they give. Now they just ignore me when I email them. SCAMMERS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
