I requested cancellation of my gym membership and personal trainer services with Trufit in April, effective April 2025. I sustained an injury in April and immediately contacted the facility to cancel my membership. During that initial call, I was informed that someone would follow up with me, but I never received a response.
I made a second attempt later in April by leaving a voicemail, yet again, no one returned my call. Despite these efforts, I recently discovered charges on my bank account for both the membership and an additional fee for the personal trainer. Concerned, I called the gym yesterday and spoke with a representative who stated he did not have the authorization to process cancellations. He directed me to contact Customer Care.
I followed his instructions and called the number provided, only to be denied the ability to cancel my membership once more. Not only have I continued to be charged, but my account remains active despite repeated calls and formal requests. This is unacceptable and feels like being trapped in a contract without consent.
I forwarded a copy of my restrictions from my physician and still was denied terminating the contract without showing up physically. This was prohibited by my physician due to medical reasons. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing, especially given the circumstances of my injury and the lack of communication from their team.
Recommendation: Do not sign a Contract!!
