I've been to True Value a few times when I needed something quick and they were nearby. But let me tell you, their prices are way higher than what you'd find at Lowe's or Home Depot. And their selection of products isn't that great either. I wouldn't really recommend them unless you're in a real pinch and need something that's pretty common.

That being said, I will give them credit for having some pretty helpful staff. They've always been able to point me in the right direction when I'm looking for something specific. And their website is pretty easy to navigate if you're looking to order something online.

But overall, I think True Value is just okay. If you're looking for a wider selection of products and better prices, you're better off going somewhere else. But if you're in a hurry and need something quick, they might be worth checking out.

True Value is a great hardware store in our area, and I gotta say, I'm a big fan. The help you get there is just excellent, and the products they have are top of the line. Sure, it might cost a bit more than Home Depot, but the quality of the goods is just superior. Don't get me wrong, I like Home Depot too, but I gotta give them a 3.5-star rating because they take a percentage of each sale when you return items, and too many of their products are just not up to snuff.

But True Value? They accept returns at full value, which is just awesome. And both stores offer a 10% discount for veterans, which I really appreciate. It's great to see businesses supporting our troops like that.

Now, I gotta say, since I wrote the above review, things have changed a bit. The store has changed hands or managers, and the original and exceptional help is gone. It's a shame, really. The place is way too loud now, with background music that isn't calming at all. And the service just isn't as good as it used to be. So, unfortunately, I gotta drop my rating from a five-star to a three. It's still a good store, don't get me wrong, but it's just not what it used to be.
