The transition from Apple Arcade to standalone has not been flattering. I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I want it to succeed. The latest incarnation of TTA is super buggy. The connection is the least stable I’ve seen it. When a connection is lost, you’re still penalized with a loss. It’s jittery and oftentimes it will lag after drawing or deploying a card. This new layout is way more confusing than the old and having to wait days to advance/open rewards is going to discourage a lot of players from playing.

I put so many hours into this I loved everything from the intro to the animations. Gameplay was addictive and progression was a fun grind. This new crate system and the was the game notifies you that you’ll be playing for no rewards if you choose to play while a crate is taking HOURS to open is a joke. (15 hours for a mega crate!) Sorry but i don’t know who thought this was a great idea. Why take away a system your regulars were used too for so long. If you’re gonna make changes to monetize fine but do it in a graceful manner not this.

Ive notices the same thing when it comes to palying Transformers Tactical arena In Arcade Mode and on Apple Store: Unfair matchups. Unfortunately the App Allows players to move forward or stop you from progressing. Also the rewards are very low. The New Players should start out at a higher level than level 1. The Game is fun to play but cost too much time to progress. I mean Hours and Days and Months. If you are going to play this Game you are in for a lot of fun and addiction but dont expect to be happy about your progress even at Level 9

Previously, in Arcade, you could play all you wanted and the game was fun. Very challenging and still within the realm of fun to play and with good graphics. Yeah, there was some hoarding of crates that would help you find and upgrade your robots. Now, you are limited to ONLY THREE CRATES! But if you’re willing to buy their currency, you can instantly open them and keep on playing. Now, you’re just playing without getting any good stuff.
Absolutely killing the fun out of this game. Do yourself a favor, don’t download this game. It’ll frustrate you to pieces.

This game has you typically wait for your chests to be open which upgrade your cards and a mega chest takes half a day to open or you can spend money on it to open. The matchmaking is a problem cause when you get into a new arena there’s a chance you can get matched up with someone who has totally new cards that you don’t and it makes the match unfair instantly and then your outmatched. In my opinion the game is unbalanced and needs work. I know its just a mobile game but it has matchmaking with real people so it should at least try to make the game a little more fair.

Great graphics and animation, well known clash system to upgrade units with pros and cons, but here its more usefull, cause u have slot for big chest and open only it all time. I hope developers will add system of replay and match history, cause i even dont understand when i lost what deck/squad opponent had and where i made mistake. Everyone who write about matchmaking just l2p or just read what defense unit exist, i won lvl4 towers vs lvl 8, all my cards legend - 5, other 4 lvl.
For developers and game publisher:Pls do app for android, cause its a huge a part of people and its need to online game!

I’ve played since day one, I have had to restart my account 3 times now but I actually don’t really have a problem with it. Sometimes it’s nice to start from scratch. The new update wasn’t bad in my opinion, we got some new emotes and some new bots.

I hope to see in the future the use of clans and more tournaments to earn cards. Like some of the other people said, it’s very hard to get what you need.

I hope that with the amount of bad reviews the developers don’t call it quits on this game. It’s still young and has so much room to be great.

I love transformers and I have huge hopes for this game

I got the game about a week ago after seeing a friend playing thinking “oh cool new transformers game” so I downloaded it and have been playing and love it. Never had any lag problems (which I saw a lot of bad reviews on that topic) and they just fixed the chest and shop system as well(another complained about topic) while I do agree some cards seem imbalanced or lacking a solid counter (hence 4 stars) I’d say this game is really fun and honestly not that grindy compared to other games similar to this. If I could fix one thing though I would have to say add more chests slots 3 simply doesn’t seem like enough

This game has great gameplay and the fixed monetization was nice but I still feel the game lacks character. You need to get rewards for hitting certain milestones in the progress. More events and more ways to play like 2v2 or fast energon would be cool too. And even though I hate battle passes I feel a battle pass would be good for this game but it needs a premium reward and free reward for “each and every tier” especially the free one. After that I feel the game would be perfect. Also maybe add one or two more slots for crates. Maybe miscellaneous one that can possibly have a legendary crate if you guys choose to add them.

Just as long as you keep players playing hour after hour! BRING BACK AI BRING BACK WEEKLY TURRET LEADERBOARD! CREATE A NO DRONE ZONE! Whatever you have to do, just get players to play every hour as they USEDDDD TO DO!

As this point, have you not simply realized that players NEED MORE CARDS in order to give you real money to upgrade them?

You’re SUPPOSED TO GIVE ALOT of one thing leaving something else lacking! This is how you get players to pay you more money! Give them the crates!let them open!
You still need money to UPGRADE the plentiful cards you have!

Dude! You had it down once! Bring it back!

I downloaded this version of the game after it left Apple Arcade. My account transferred over seamlessly, but the game hard-crashed my 3rd match in, and then froze on my 5th match. It also starts to get choppy for me when lots of units are on the field, which didn’t happen before (makes me nervous the app is on the verge of crashing again).

Overall I like the new look & characters, although I don’t understand the crate cooldowns in relation to winning your 5 daily matches. If you’re on a 15 hour cooldown, and all of your slots are full, you may need to win matches you won’t be rewarded for just to get your 5 daily wins. Seems counterintuitive to me.

The idea of any game like this, is to advance and get as big/strong as you can. That WAS possible when this game was under Apple Arcade. You could battle for hours, if you wanted to, and you were able to reap the rewards of those battles, immediately. Not anymore. Now, just like so many other games, you’ll have to wait to open your rewards/chests. 3 hrs for a common crate, 12 hrs for an “epic” crate. At this rate, when it takes 1000+ experience points just to level up (one character alone), and an epic crate MAY give you 10 points IF you get lucky (and get the cards you’re actually looking for); you’re looking at a year+ just to advance 1 single character. Joke. Absolute joke. This avid player is done. Save your extra time for anything other than this game.

I downloaded this game earlier this week, the graphics are amazing, but it’s just that you always lose every single time you play a round, like take me for example, all I have ever done was lose lose and lose, so please, make the mechanics and play equal, the only reason I started playing this yesterday is because I went to see the recently released Rise of the Beasts and it got me back into transformers, when I saw this game on the App Store, I thought to myself this game could be a good game, so I tried it out, after thirty minutes of playing, I always encounter people who are higher than me or have an advantage, so if possible, add a matchmaking aspect, like difficulties, easy, medium, hard, intense, or insane, or other wise just make the match makes like your equal level or lower.

My account transfer went fine, but there are some issues.

- For one, I just won a match and lost 4 rank points
- I expected the currency purchases to appear, but it would be nice if you could buy credits toward card upgrades, not just opening loot boxes early. I would actually spend some money on that.
- When practicing at level 9, some of your opponents are level 1, which makes them too easy to defeat.
-And just like the other review currently on here, this update now allows my phone to cook my Tostino’s Pizza Rolls™️ in record time, but the battery life is
- I also agree with the other review in that 15 hours is a pretty insane wait time for the Mega Crates. At that rate I just won’t be playing this game much anymore. ‍♂️

I hope these issues are addressed quickly with updates.

Everyone on here is absolutely correct. After they took it off Apple Arcade it has completely ruined the game. It is very laggy, no new players to play against. It’s the same people over and over again. The fact that you now have to PAY to be able to open crates is absolutely ridiculous or wait hours just to open them. I play a lot and really like the game because it’s competitive and I am a top player as well. This update is a true definition of “its it not broken, don’t fix it.” This needs to be back on Apple Arcade asap as I can see by the developers response that the issues will not be fixed. Not to mention you all took away the option to play a ranked match against a bot which was very useful because once you are high ranked it becomes extremely difficult to find matches. Very bad update from top to bottom.

This is an awesome game while it was on Apple Arcade now it’s basically been brought to its end it’s all about the money now boxes have time limits 3 hours to unlock small crates 6 hours for medium and 15 hours for mega crates or pay to open them earlier, you can only accumulate 3 boxes and if you want to earn more you have to pay to unlock one of the boxes you have already acquired ore can be bought now not earned. This was by far my most favorite game on my phone and Apple Arcade. I had 3 saved games 640 hours played between them all, and they only let you carry over one of them. luckily I moved the one with the most ore over but the game has been slammed to a halt because of the time limits but after this post I will be deleting it, I don’t support this kind of gameplay, it had the fun of an original skill game before now and I enjoyed, it thanks for ruining it with greed.

Reminds me a lot of Snap, but a different form of strategy when it comes to gameplay and that was a smart choice. The concept is there, the art is incredible and even the option to change music and such, what a great addition that isnt needed but adds to the experience where others games dont care to put that kind of care into games. If you guys can keep a nice balance, where lower cost cards being sorta like minions of certain autobots and decepticons, and make the higher cost cards the main robots then you could make this game go for a while as long as balance stays good and new strategies through different bots effects are added! I dont want to tell anyone how to make their own game and how could i, but i have seen plenty mobile games fall down the same hole and i hope my suggestions are taken into consideration as id love to play this game for years to come with as many autobots and decepticons as i can collect! Dont get too caught up in micro transactions, if you put out robots that people want & keep the balance, people will spend on your game :)

It’s still fun to play, but you really only get about 10 minutes of fun. I absolutely hate loot box systems that require hours, sometimes half a day of waiting to open which is the case in this game, of course unless you want to spend actual money for in-game currency units to open them faster. It almost makes it pointless to keep playing because there is no real reward. At the very least you should be able to win 1-3 of these currency units based on how many turrets you destroy after a win so that you can open boxes and have some reward especially for a 3 turret win. I get that they were able to avoid this paid system on Apple Arcade but micro transactions on your only reward are the easiest way to kill the fun of a game. Sure there are daily/weekly events that still give you cards but if you blow through those in a few days then you have to wait 15 hours for your Rare box to open which is far from fun. I loved playing this near daily and love Transformers so it won’t be easy to give up, but I can almost certainly say that I won’t be playing it for much longer. It seems that they don’t have Landscape orientation for devices like tablets which I hope is only temporary. Going from playing in Landscape to Portrait is strange and makes it hard to concentrate on what’s going on for me personally, but I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

Its been happening for two days now after the recent update. Everytime I open the app it says that the servers won’t connect but my friend gets in just fine. I deleted the app and redownloaded it but it did nothing. Nothing is working and it’s not my connection because everything else on my phone works fine. I have spent a lot of time on this game and it would suck for it to stop working like this

I was a top 1% player in the arcade version. You’ve taken a great game and ruined it. Latency when I try to play cards (or the app is completely unresponsive, which is frustrating), micropayments so I can open my crates, no points awarded if I play the AI because the game can’t match me with another player, and the list goes on. Best of luck, but I’m out.

They charge for everything on the game now. You can even open the boxes you earn. They don’t even let you know when they charge you for stuff. I really enjoyed this game before it was pay to win. Just charge for items in the store, more ore-13. Charging to unlock something i earned makes me feel exploited. It was good while it lasted but now I’m deleting it.

The game was a fun addition to the Arcade, but the announcement of them leaving made me wonder what the changes would be, but with a few obvious guesses for any loot box based game.

The timed/$$$ loot box unlock mechanic makes the game only good for a few minutes a day at most. If I didn’t already have established lvl8/9 character the game simply wouldn’t be worth it.

Love the art, but the game itself isn’t terribly good. Even after the updated crates take such a long time, there appears to be no way to get the “big currency” other than actual ca$h, and I’m regularly just outmatched by more experienced units. I think. I can barely tell why anything I do works or doesn’t work.

Anyhoo, maybe you’ll like it, I just wish these assets and artists had been put to use making something more fun to play

What a shame. The new non Apple Games version limits you to having only 3 crates after victories. And you need to use coins to open them instead of waiting the 2-6 hour timer! And OF COURSE the extra coins cost money. Seriously guys? There is no other way to make money from this? So if I decide to not pay the coins and wait out the time I’ll be playing a game every 2 -3 hours?! That’s what you for your players? Ugh horrible. This used to be a 5 star game.

This game was pretty much the only reason I had Apple Arcade. I spent hundreds of hours grinding and got most of my cards to max level. Now, the game crashes all the time, the touch interface doesn’t work as smoothly and it is infuriating trying to play. And if I spent hundreds of hours leveling up my cards, I can’t imagine how long (or now how much money) it would take to level up anything with the new crate system. I don’t even want to play the game anymore. It’s disappointing.

Profile did not transfer. Second time I’ve lost my decks and now I get to start over. No thank you. Lots of wasted time.

My progress from the Apple Arcade version never loaded, after hours of playing I know it might never come back. I’ll only change this if I get my progress back!

I put 80 hours on the Apple Arcade version of this game when there was no microtransactions. Now it’s full of them and the game is ruined for me, huge disappointment.

This game had a 3.1 rating because it became all about paying in. Suddenly they magically tripled their responses and with 5 star reviews without making a change at the time.

The first update fixed the unit drop issues by making the lag worse and modified the monetization to be about 20% less shameless. I think the common term for this is “a dog’s breakfast.”

Please fix the match making. I keep getting put up against people with WAY higher levels, both cards and overall level is always higher than mine and it makes it nearly impossible to win.

Error ridden, more connection issues than ever, glitchy, timed crates is ridiculous. It has potential because the Apple Arcade version was awesome. There are some positive changes too, but the errors need to be taken care of because they muffle everything else. The practice AI is a joke. Playing on I pad air m1 so that’s not the issue….

You get three boxes and you have to wait hours and hours. I’ve been playing for a long time and I knew they were leaving Apple Arcade so they could have IAPs but this is ridiculous. Everyone will quit with your current restrictions. I can fight like one or two battles a day for rewards only? Find a different way to make money please. Or at least drastically reduce the timers…something.

Played in arcade. Was awesome. Balanced but challenging.

Now it’s set to be a total money grab. Unbalanced, you can’t progress without spending. You get matches 95% of the time against opponents 2 levels above you so you have no chance, which means no rewards.

The game had so much potential, and they’ve ruined it to make money.

Unless you want to spend, avoid.
