This isn't the first time I've had trouble with Textbook Maniac. They seem to be a textbook crook, as they took my book and held it for a $4 shipping charge. Not only that, but they claimed that the book was severely damaged, and I know that it wasn't. It was in great condition when I sent it, and it was packed carefully in a sturdy box with bubble wrap. But when they got it, they claimed that it had severe stains and water damage. That just doesn't make sense to me. I think they just took my book for free and then re-sold it for a markup.

When I tried to contact them about it, they were unhelpful and unapologetic. They just said, "Maybe it was damaged in transit." But I know that it wasn't. I think they're just textbook crooks who are trying to make a profit off of unsuspecting people. I would never sell my textbooks through them again. Found textbookmaniac.com and went on there to see how it worked. Decided to give it a try after seeing that they pay through Zelle, because I always like to get my money fast.

Sent my book in by shipping it from Book Deals. Some of the reviews on here had me trippin’, but I had faith that my book was in good condition and all I had to do was follow their rules. The book was not one of the special editions or instructor editions, so I knew that was all good. I also made sure to take pictures of my book to prove its condition, and packaged it well. Used lots of bubble wrap to make sure it didn't bounce around during shipping, and even removed all the stickers and sticker residue from the book.

It took around two weeks for it all to go down, but it was all good. I saw that the status had changed to Awaiting Payment about a week and half after I had shipped it. Then, within a couple of days, got all the dinero sent to my account with Zelle. Straight up and honest. Got the exact amount they said they'd give me based on the book's condition that I had described beforehand.
