I recently made a purchase on TekRefurbs.com, buying a PC for $506 on July 6, 2021. I also decided to purchase an extended 1-year warranty for an additional $25. Unfortunately, my PC went bad in December, but thankfully, I had the extra warranty. I tried to contact their customer service by leaving a message and sending an email, but I received no response. This lack of communication was frustrating, and I felt like they didn't care about my problem.

Eventually, I had to pay $329 to get a replacement for the bad 1TB SSD. I had to settle for a 500MB because of the costs. While I understand that the SSD going bad is not their fault, I am disappointed with their behavior regarding the extended warranty. It seems like they don't value their customers and only care about making a profit. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I feel like they stole from me.

To make matters worse, they didn't disclose that the wifi connector is a Chinese dongle that came apart in my hand and had to be replaced immediately. Additionally, there is no Bluetooth, which was a surprise to me. I wish they had been more transparent about these issues before I made my purchase.

Overall, my experience with TekRefurbs.com was not great. While I appreciate the affordable prices, their lack of communication and transparency left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I hope they can improve their customer service and be more upfront about any potential issues with their products in the future.

I'm a doc with a small practice and I've been using a Dell laptop for a decade now to keep all my notes. I also use a docking station in my office so that I only have to make one connection. I then almost always take my laptop home at night.

My old docking station stopped working and so I ordered a refurbished docking station with the same identifying name on E-Bay from TekRefurbs. It was the same price as buying just a used article from any one of a number of unknown individuals on the same site.

When the docking station arrived, I eagerly connected all of my cords and laptop to it. I now found that my external monitor was not "seeing" the laptop. My friend and IT expert had me look on the back of the station. My old docking station had grey or black USB ports. The refurbished equipment had blue USB ports. In my ignorance, I did not know that the blue ports indicate USB 3.0 versus my old system was/is USB 2.0.

I reluctantly emailed TekRefurb through the E-Bay website and told them about my problem and that I would need to return the docking station. I expected to receive back an email with appropriate instructions. The next morning I did receive an email from them but the email stated that my purchase price would be refunded within 5 working days and to forget sending back the station.

The price for this equipment was minimal but the immediate action on the part of TekRefurbs to refund the money with no further questions spoke loudly to me of integrity. I would happily deal with this company in the future. I mean, who doesn't like a company that stands behind their products and is willing to make things right? I know I do!
