Despite maintaining an active paid subscription, the Company deliberately revoked all login credentials and dashboard access, thereby preventing us from downgrading our plan or initiating cancellation through the account portal as contemplated by the subscription agreement.
Each time we contacted support by email requesting cancellation or a downgrade, the Company responded with identical form replies stating that a separate password-reset email had been sent and that, upon regaining access, we could manage or cancel the subscription ourselves. No such password-reset emails were ever received, despite our repeated follow-up requests and provision of the same verified email addresses historically associated with the account.
On multiple occasions we explicitly requested that our plan be downgraded to the lowest available tier. The Company replied that the downgrade had been processed; however, we continued to be billed at the highest and most expensive rate without interruption.
After we sent a formal written demand to terminate the subscription effective immediately, the Company refused to honor the cancellation, continued attempting to charge the credit card on file, and stated that termination was not permitted. We were forced to block the charges through our bank to prevent further unauthorized billing.
Shortly thereafter, we received a letter on the letterhead of “Brown & Lee Litigations” — which provided no attorney name, bar number, physical address, or telephone contact information — threatening that unless we agreed to remain subscribed to the most expensive plan for an additional twelve (12) months, the Company would initiate litigation and report alleged non-payment to credit bureaus.
These actions constitute deliberate misrepresentation, breach of contract, and extortionate conduct. The Company’s own website and marketing materials prominently state that customers may “cancel at any time” with no penalty, yet the Company has systematically blocked every lawful avenue of cancellation while continuing to demand payment under threat of legal and credit-reporting consequences.
