Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com automatic transmission

I purchased a trans from these people in May 2017. 2 days after it was installed in stopped working. I was told by Scott in their warranty dept. That he needed the installation invoice and a diagnostic report to start my claim. I email the warranty dept. to find out how long the process would take before I got another trans. I got no response. So I Had another trans put in. I'm a union carpenter in the SF bay area and can't be without my truck as I go from job to job. I finally get an email that another trans has been shipped. This time I email Scott direct an explain to him I don't need another trans as I just put another in. I contacted them several times to find about my refund, I finally talked to Scott by phone and was told that the refund would by the end of that week. That was 3 weeks ago. So I'm out $900 for the trans and $400 for the install

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Used engine

I purchased an engine and three-year parts and labor warranty for my Mazda Miata on October 1, 2016 for $2395. The engine was shipped in a timely manner but once it was installed we discovered that the engine was damaged and sold to us in poor working condition. It made a loud and constant knocking sound.

I contacted this company to begin the warranty process and was asked to provide an installation and diagnostic report. At this time I also requested a diagnostic and documentation about the engine that was sold to me. According the warranty representative I spoke to, they do not have this documentation. According to him, they run the engine for 30-60 minutes to test for oil pressure and knocking and then store them for an uncertain amount of time.

My mechanic provided the company and myself with multiple documents stating that the engine was damaged and was not suitable for driving. Even with this information received, the company refuses to uphold their warranty stating that we didn't send the correct documentation.

Every interaction we have had with the warranty service represetative, Alex Black, has been extremely rude and hostile. We requested the contact information for his superiors on several occasions and we have yet to receive this information.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Failure to credit back visa card after order cancellation

I ordered a re-manufactured Remanns engine on a Friday afternoon, [protected] upon two good recommendations about this company. Having read of many complaints over the weekend, I called Monday morning, [protected] to cancel my order, and was told that they were keeping a ten percent deposit on the engine they had already built. This was a lie, since their recorded message says that it takes three to four business days to complete an order. Two weeks later they have yet to credit one dime of the $4425 they charged to my card, and an email response to my inquiry, came from a different company, and said that the reason they had not credited me back was that"I had told them that I had canceled my CC" (credit card). Another lie. First it was South Dakota. Then Oklahoma. Beware of these Internet Thieves and their ever changing phone numbers and locations.

First, take reviews with a grain of salt. Most of the time, a person's complaint is frivolous or due to their own issues. I prefer to make my own judgement about a business. Second, it takes a few days for a refund to apply to a card. If all else fails, file a chargeback with your credit card.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com The engine was defective and the seller didn't replace it

I have bought the engine from SWEnginge. It turned to be defective one, and I was glad that I had the warranty. I followed the instruction and emailed the owner, who said that they couldn’t replace the engine and the only way was to buy another one. I asked why I paid for the warranty then, but this seller said that it was my mistake and wasn’t careful. Blah-blah. Don’t believe this man. And don’t pay for such useless warranty.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Unethical behavior

I asked if they went under any other company names and they never responded only to find out that they are Engine and Transmission World trying to cover up their horrible name by creating a new name I thought it was strange that they claimed to have been in business for more than 30 years yet there was no reviews online at all or a BBB rating. BUYER BEWARE! Obviously cover their bad track record I thought 5 year / Unlimited warranty was to good to be true, Like they say if it's to good to be true than it most likely it is.

Hi Sue, Im suing usedremanns.com / Engine Shoppers LLC, I've put all the case evidence together to get them on fed and state "false and deceptive advertising" charges and other legal codes fed and CA state codes. The big thing I got on them is they had an ASE logo on the website. they removed it after I said I was going to sue them, But I got the screenshot of it before they removed it. What happened was they sent an engine to a lic auto shop for installation. It was supposed to be steam clean and compression tested. None of that was done and I've got the diagnostics report from the shop. The truck never left the shop with the bad engine. I've picked their warranty apart and am using it against them as well.

I've contacted an Atty to figure out how to present the evidence in the right order and am really interested in getting a class action going as well

I contacted an attorney in Chicago. He said it’s impossible to Sue because they go bankrupt and they open new company with new names. Well I guess that explains the 50 names they have gone by. He told me to tell everyone I. Social media to email them constantly using your name demanding you get paid. I’m bummed out!

I have joined your Facebook group and I too have been ripped off by this company and still fighting for a refund. Chase would not refund my money and I have exhausted all resources with this company. I have been given several different reasons and now they want me to spend more money having the engine removed and ship back to them to determine cause of failure. I refuse to spend any additional money. I will join any suit against SW Engines.

we have to go after the parent co. Engine Shopper LLC and its owners who are held responsible I cant sue them in ca small claims except under another designation which Im figuring out now. Im also filing an FTC complaint every week until they take notice. Your assisting in doing the same would help hopefully for them to take notice. I have them on misrepresentation using the ASE logo. ASE org says the never issued the logo.

This is in their warranty, On usedremanns.com warranty, the page says in part,

"ADMINISTRATOR’S RIGHTS TO TERMINATE BENEFITS":

"In the event of a claim, administrator reserves the right to terminate the benefits of this product warranty upon the discovery of fraud or misrepresentation of a material fact by the purchaser or the purchaser’s representative. Evidence of fraud or misrepresentation is forwarded to the proper state and federal authorities"

By that standard, shouldn't it also be the right of the wronged consumer to request the court terminate any warranty benefits to the seller of this product upon the discovery of fraud or misrepresentation of a material fact by the seller or the seller's representative?

Hello Randy,

My name is Peter Ferron and here is the story of my experience dealing with USED REMANNS.

On 07-April-2023, I purchased a used transmission from USED.REMANNS for my 2001 Acura CL Type S under invoice #: 415336. This transmission, which was supposed to be tested and certified serviceable, arrived at my ASE Certified repair facility - The Pit Shop (in Fairfield, CA) on 01-May-2023. The mechanics noticed immediately that the cooling reservoir filter, one of the dual solenoid assemblies and dipstick assembly were all badly damaged (I have photos) and Could NOT possibly be reused. I supplied a new filter and the mechanic installed it prior to installing the USED.REMANNS transmission. Seeing as the filter wasn't purchased by The Pit Shop it wasn't listed on the invoice.

The vehicle repair began the afternoon of 03-May-2023 and the installation of the USED.REMANNS transmission was completed the morning of 05-May-2023. The car immediately had problems going into any gear and after operating temperature was reached, would NOT apply power to the drive wheels. The owner of The Pit Shop notified me immediately and I verified the problem the afternoon of 05-May-2023. I have worked with The Pit Shop in the past and found them to be trustworthy, honest and reliable.

I notified the USED.REMANNS Warranty Department Monday morning, 08-May-2023 that the transmission is defective and I was filing a warranty claim for the advertised replacement transmission and compensation for the upcoming replacement labor fees.

Mary Watson of USED REMANNS Warranty Department told me my warranty was void because the mechanic didn't specifically list the required fluid cooling reservoir filter change. I sent them pictures of the damaged components and attempted to explain the old filter couldn't possibly be reused. I provided them with requested proof of purchase for the new filter. The owner of The Pit Shop did state on the invoice that all damaged components were removed and customer sensors and parts were swapped over. Additionally the cooling reservoir filter wouldn't cause the Immediate malfunction we experienced.

If there is anything I can do to help with your class action law suite, please let me know. These liars and cheats need to pay for their dishonesty and disreputable practices.

Sincerely,

Peter Ferron

I have the same experiences that most of these complaints have stated.. it was very easy to communicate with them when I was ordering my motor and and making arrangements to pay in full to REMANNS.. I RECEIVED THE MOTOR THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO PICK UP THE CORE.. apparently they didn't know how or where they shipped the location they had a ship the motor to.. threaten me to cancel my warranty which I paid an extra $500 for.. after a dozen phone calls I finally got them to acknowledge where they ship the motor the week before when I told them to come pick up the core... They finally came and got the core a month later.

It was installed by a licensed and legitimate mechanic shop.. and they still couldn't find the shop that was listed on the address that they shipped it to.

I've had nothing but trouble with the motor since it's been installed it is finally died

I cannot get one straight answer.. after numerous calls for the past 2 years in the engine is now dead.

I can't REMANNS.. to return a phone call.. AND WHEN I DO FINALLY GET A CONTACT WITH SOMEONE.. after numerous phone calls and emails for the past 2 years...

I can't get a straight answer on how to prove to them that the motor is dead.. one suggestion was tear the heads off of it and get a carpenter's framing square.. and lay it on the head and take a measurement to see if the head is warped!.. what nonsense! The heads would have to go to a machine shop!

I would be happy to join any class action suit against REMANNS.. AND TESTIFY IN COURT AGAINST THEM!.. HOPEFULLY CRIMINAL CHARGES ARE INVOLVED!

If there is anyone that is dealt with remance do they know a direct number that I can talk to the manager of the company the supervisor of the company the CEO of the company the president of the company..

Anyone but the mules that they have answering phones to ship out poorly remanufactured motors

LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO JOIN ME IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST REMANNS AND SW ENGINES!
REMANNS and SW ENGINES ripped me off. I bought an engine and warranty for the engine. It to a long time
for them to provide the engine, much longer than they represented. It took several calls and emails before
they provided the engine . Then the engine they provided was no good. I had paid over $6000 dollars for
the engine and warranty then paid 1800 dollars to have the engine installed. When the engine was installed
and started the shop called and said the engine was a no good engine. It took 6 months of phone calls and
emails to get them to send a replacement engine. I took the truck back to a mechanic the dodge dealer
in our town and they uninstalled the bad engine and installed the 2nd replacement. The Dodge dealer ship
said the second engine was a no good engine. REMANNS, SW ENGINES, and the warranty department no
longer takes my calls nor do they answer my emails. I am looking for people who have had same or similar
experiences with these companies to join me in a class action lawsuit.

I bought what was supposed to be a1998 jeep 5.9 with 88,000 miles and it was worse than the one in the vehicle that has 250,000 on. The one from SW Engines had a bad head gasket or a cracked head, I removed the sparkplugs and all you could smell was strong bitter sweet smell from burnt, evaporated antifreeze. I filled out the warranty for a refund but I am not going to hold my breath

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Engine

We ordered a drop in ready engine for a Mit. Fuso. These engine are hard enough to find, so as a precaution, we sent pictures of it all around. Every possible number that it had to make sure it was correct. This was back in May 2015. They were very helpful at first till our engine was delayed. They said two weeks from the confirming order; which turned into an entire month later. Upon arrival, it was immediately noticed, that this is completely wrong. When We called to let them know and requested a pick up and return, the disputed it was right and would not answer any calls or emails. It took getting banks and lawyers involved to get it out a long with a refund. At least we got back our 8, 000, but we wont get back the months we lost fighting with these people.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Unethical behaviour

Ordered a VW engine at 11pm 10/5/15. Received an email confirmation 10/7/15 at about 10am spelling out how long it would take to receive between 20th and 26th. It was not going to work so I called after work at about 5:30pm ET to cancel. Spoke with Scott who said he will transfer me to his manager John. Left a voice message. At 5:50pm called back. Scott stated John was the only person to speak with. That evening I sent them an email through their website expressing my concern to cancel. No reply. I called customer service 10/8/15 and was transferred to John. Left another message. Called back to customer service got a direct number to John's phone and also conveyed my concern about no one responding to my plight. She took the invoice number and said she would send it to dispatch to cancel but I needed to call between 9am and 4pm the next day. Called Scott and John's lines left a message. On the 10/9/15 received an email at 11:00am that the order has processed and would receive an email in about 2 days about shipment. At 11:55am received an email that the item has shipped outlaying that it would be received between 10/15/15 and 10/19/15 giving no tracking details. Called again. Sent an email 1012/15 as well requesting my $3395.00 refund. They pushed the charge through on 10/7/15 after learning that I wanted to cancel.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Scam

Scammed by SW Engines & Transmissions. John, Dale, AJ, James all names are maybe made up. Rude hung up on and lied to. I paid $670.00 for a transmission that doesn't line up with torque plate. It's centimeters off. Somehow they try to blame it on my car. I waited 4 weeks for this part was lied to and never given a tracking number. John tried to cancel the order on me when I called to track it but it had been delivered. John already emailed me an adjusted invoice screwing me out of $500 but the part was at my mechanics.
Turns out to be a bogus part. I contacted them and was told ok send it back.
No it doesn't work like that. They sent me a defective part and are obliged to pick it up and refund my money. I was hung up on and never received an email so I filed with the State of Oklahoma Attorney Generals office today due to their lack of professionalism.
They should be shut down and hold an "F" with the BBB. Buyer Beware.

I purchased online and failed to read reviews on this co. that does business as SW Engines also as SW Transmissions. I found they have an F rating with the BBB. Like all other complaints on this site I encountered rudeness and zero customer service. John, Dale, AJ, James all lie and give nothing but the run around. I called to track my transmission and John got so pist he cancelled my order and emailed me an adjusted invoice charging me for shipping 3 times and a 25% restock fee but little did John know it already had been delivered So he couldn't screw me out of $500 turns out the transmission is defective anyway and my mechanic can't get the bolts to line up with the plate. I contacted SWE&T and told them of the defect and to pick up the useless transmission and refund my money. I was told to send it myself. NO that's not how it works. SW Engines failed to deliver a working transmission, Failed at customer service and are just an inter-net scam house. They are located in an office building in a high rise not a garage or shop like the website make you believe. They say all parts are tested and inspected. Lies and scams. I filed with the State Attorney Generals office in the state they operate in. Buyer Beware.

Good day. Mr. Bill J. Called me last week we talked for about 20min. On this matter. He said he was going to talk to every body there. And send me the balance from the first check. He said I was not to be charged for shipping or restocking fee. It was the wrong motor. He said he cant be leave this is still going on. Well still waiting.Good day just need everyone on the same page. I have been asking for my money back from swengines. I had a loan from equity Had it paid off a couple days after receiving the motor. Then found out it was the wrong motor. Got it sent back To recive a refund Brian said from SW. They had nothing else at this time to send. Pay tomorrow. Set me up with equity. The two have been very nice in helping me out through all this. Swengines can't say that. Invoice #******* 3.7 motor. Ex.2066 Sanch he talked to me three times. And said refund is on its way. Ove two months now. Scott green never called back. Ex. 2036 is Dale never picked the phone up. Ex. Gabe hung the phone up. Lisa shipping helped out then started to hang the phone up. Got sent over to a Ex.#6 Margret 3 times got hung up on all 3. Got a call from Bill Jones... I'll get to the bottom of this never did. The loan com. Have been sending and calling I said thank you to them for trying. One call back over a month now finance your getting your money. Nothing to me yet. So, BBB has the COMPLANT in their hands. This has been going on since September. I have all the calls names times what they said or hung up on me emails from Brian That I started with nothing from him either. All Emails have been sent with all the numbers name to BBB.

BBB.org Good morning,

Mr. Stocker, copied here, called today and said that he still has not been refunded from SW Engines for the product he returned. To recap, Mr. Stocker paid his Equity loan in full and after that SW Engines accepted return of his product. SW Engines agreed to refund Mr. Stocker however, Mr. Stocker has not been refunded nor contacted about this. Can someone please follow up with him as to when he can expect to receive a refund? We are unable to assist him with this so I have included SW Engines and Pay Tomorrow in this message in hopes that someone will follow up with Mr. Stocker regarding this unresolved issue.

Thank You,

I ordered an engine for my brother's 2019 Dodge Charger in January for $2800. First, it took over 6 weeks to receive it and was told 10-14 days. Second, we ended up not needing the engine and I called them to return it and they never called to schedule a pick up or responded to any of my calls or emails. Here it is May and I have been calling them daily for over 2 months and still getting the run around. I have called to speak with managers and supervisors and not one of them will answer or call me back. This is by far the worst company to order from. Keep your money and look further. I am speaking with an attorney as of this moment about the issue. They have no problem taking your money but when it comes to a refund or exchange it's an issue.

I searched for the best non scam service, I thought, for an engine for my 2007 Dodge Charger. Was offered deal right away with discount of $150 to order then. The web site looked so good, professional so thought all fine. I completed order, paid full amount of $3095 with address and all complete.

My son then told me to check complaints for company to make sure, I immediately saw multiple complaints and warnings. So I called immediately, within 1/2 hour to cancel, Was given run around then sent to supposed Customer Service, but told had to send me another person, which transferred to some private phone with an old lady mad that I had called her not connected with company at all.

I called my credit card company who then called with me stayed online. But same routine, same persons, and again, another phone call to another stranger not related to company also mad we called, the rep from Card Company on line the entire time. I filed dispute with card company at that time, payments pending could not just cancel.

Had another person 3rd party call too, who talked to this same two persons and given same routine but my person insisted strongly, to cancel in no uncertain terms. So was sent text to fill out to cancel order. I did that immediately and received verification it was cancelled. ALL within an hour of the original order.

First thing in morning I checked and the money had cleared. Friday, 14 Jan 2022. I sent a letter to complain and just got back this afternoon that they charged me 25% restocking fee of $773.75 returned only $2321.25 to my card. I replied that I did not accept this and called my CC company and told they would not allow and will investigate but even if works out will take weeks to settle. This business is really a scam, why are they allowed to be in business at all?

I ordered a transmission from SW Transmissions (which also seems to operate as SW Engines) the order took 3 weeks to be filled. The transmission was installed and did not work. Called SW and they sent a replacement. I asked about what I needed to do to file a warranty claim as installation costs of defective parts were listed as covered by warranty. The SW rep stated the warranty only applies if the part worked after installation AND THEN goes bad. Complete rip off. If they send you a transmission that is crap from jump- no coverage. If they send you a half assed rebuilt transmission that works for a few miles before it fails- covered.
There are a lot of complaints about this company that does business under several different names. SW Engines, Southwest Auto Parts, and SW Transmissions seem to be common complaints.

This site has saved me thousands of dollars. I was ready to order a Subaru engine from these knuckleheads but thought I should find out if they had been reviewed. Boy, was I surprised with what everyone had to say about them. I've been scammed before and my heart goes out to those who have been victimized by these folks. Thank you all for posting and I hope good fortune turns your way as a result.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Delivers & Product

I had bought a used Toyota 4runner, and so happen to blow my engine with in the first 3 months of buying this car. I wasn't whiling to go through the hassle of buy a whole new car, so I decided to buy an engine and just replace it myself. I hopped online and found Southwest Engines. The site looked decent and they had what I was looking for at a "competitive price". I had ordered the engine in mid-October 2013, and they said that it would be to me within 2 weeks. Those two weeks had come and gone, and I hadn't even received a tracking number yet. I decided to call customer service, and they were rude to me the whole time. They said that they hadn't even shipped one out yet, due to some technical difficulties they have been having with the engine to be sent to me. They informed me that it would be out the next day and that I would have a tracking number then. I waited 2 days, and still no call or tracking number. At this point I've had enough of having to wait and I wanted a running vehicle. I called to cancel my order and to have them refund my money. They informed me that they couldn't do that. They wanted me to wait till this so called "engine" got to my location, reject the delivery, and wait till it got back to them before they can even start the process of a refund. I told them it was unacceptable and that I would call my bank to refuse the charge. They then connected me to a "supervisor, " who told me that if I accept the engine at delivery, that he would refund me $25.00 per day that it hadn't arrived. I agreed, I felt that maybe this way I can get some money back for my time of having to deal with these inconsiderate people. The "supervisor told me to call back the next day for a tracking number. The next day I received a tracking number, and I was told that it would be to me in no more than 4 days. I waited another week before it FINALLY got to me. After all of this I researched the company name and noticed multiple reviews about this complain, not 1 good one. I see that most are in regards to their engine ordered not working. So now I not only had to waste my time, but now I'm stuck with an engine that might not even work. This is the WORST company in the entire history of any kind of industry. I'd prefer to deal with debt collectors. DO NOT EVER associate with this business. It's nothing but a HUGE headache, and empty wallet, and nothing in return.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Transmission

I ordered a transmission more than 5 weeks ago. They shipped the wrong transmission out. I ordered a transmission with overdrive sensor and they sent one with NO sensor. I talked to parts salesman, Bill and was told overdrive and no overdrive work the same and cost the same, however, they charge 50.00 more for one with the sensor as quoted online. After several phone calls with parts I finally had to get mechanic to call them-and they promised to send the correct transmission out within the week. more than 2 weeks has passed, more than a dozen phone calls and still no replacement shipped. They transfer you from one person to another. I left the manager John several messages and still have not received one call back. Talked to shipping and was told I had to wait 10-14 business days before they would even give me a shipping confirmation even though the error was on their side and that they do not do rushes or even try to give you good customer service. They could care less about their mistake but they sure took my money real fast. I'm going to file a formal complaint with better business bureau once I locate their corporate office. They do not advertise a physical street address so if anyone knows that please let me know.

I bought a used transmission for 1495.00 from sw engines in Tulsa. Tranny was bad from the start, got less than 4 miles on it. They refused the 1 year warranty. Reason, they said mech didn’t call them the day he was finished with job, plus he didn’t fill out paperwork they sent. They never sent any paperwork to fill out or said anything about a phone call. He has used them before and never heard anything about paperwork. Plus I paid him 750.00 to install. Had it towed to a tranny shop that has been in biz for 60 years. He looked into it. Said nothing but a trashed tranny. Reported this to the FTC and OK attorney General.

This company should have the silver handle pulled and flushed down to the SEWER ! What a bunch of FLAMING [censored] ! The sent me the wrong tranny, which was NEVER cleaned and inspected as they said it would be. So I have been on the phone with the biggest [censored] I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my life ! Not only is customer service out the door, but the warranty guy needs to be beat to smithereens with one of their transmissions. What a jerk ! They REFUSE to address my issues and get me a new tranny. I am sure the warranty [censored] said ..." screw this guy " and left me with nothing but a filthy, incorrect tranny. And don't bother trying Quality Used Transmissions either...owned by the same [censored].
Must have opened another transmission place to avoid bad press he is getting from ALL of their "Victims".
Save your money...do not trust these [censored] !

Ordered an engine almost 6 months ago the engine came 3 weeks later with MISSING PARTS AND DAMAGED ENGINE! They have a scheme with the warranty and after emails and calls, ALEX( the rudest warranty claim representative) when I asked for explanations HE HUNG UP THE PHONE ! So I had a warranty claim(with a claim ID #) which they sent it in an email, but apparently I had no warranty?
The whole process was ridiculous(they have misleading terms in emails)
So they DON`T WANT TO REPLACE THE DAMAGED ENGINE AND THEY DON`T WANT TO RETURN THE MONEY EITHER!
GO BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE ITS NOT WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY!

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Scam

My father ordered a motor for his 2000 Rav 4. He thought he was saving money. Now $5, 000 dollars later, he is still without a motor that works and owes the mechanics money because they have now installed two motors that are junk. The "customer service" at SW engines is beyond ridiculous. It's a "man" that is sarcastic, rude and belligerent when called to discuss the issues. He hangs up on people. He makes up ridiculous reasons why the motors didn't work such as, "Did the mechanic know that he had to put oil in the engine?" Seriously. He told my dad that the engine probably didn't work because my dad lives in a town called Floodwood. He told my dad that the motor was probably underwater, causing the damage to the motor. Again, one can't even make up the crap this guy says. Needless to say, no one seems to be able to do anything about it. It's a scam that is mostly done over the internet which crosses state lines...no jurisdiction. I have never wanted to see someone prosecuted more in my life. He is a predator.

well they got us to I let my husband order me a transmission for my car threw them instead of rebuilding the one I had try to save only $400.00 and we got it on a Monday at the Transmission shop and they put it in on Wednesday they were very unhappy with it so they put it on the machine and it said that the 1st and 4th gear was blown. But that they put in back in and had me come drive it so that I could see for myself what was going on. Well just like many of you I got a 1yr extra warrant because of the fact I have a sick son and father and drive my car a lot all of the state and different states. Well when I called Dale he said they were not going to cover the labor cause I didn't drive it for 2 weeks or for 500 miles, no I didn't we only got 81 miles out of it before it would not even move anymore. He blamed the transmission shop and my car then said what do you know your a "WOMAN". Needless to say I went off and it got me no where. They just switch you around and wont tell you anything so I GUESS WE ARE OUT OUR MONEY AND CANT FIX MY CAR. I hope Everyone reads this and send them BAD WISHES AND MORE. THAT WAS ALL THE MONEY I HAD AND HAVE NO JOB PLUS I TAKE CARE OF A SICK CHILD AND FATHER. THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A SCAM.

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com scam

I ordered an engine for my 1993 Honda accord. The sales rep claimed it only had 66, 000 miles and was a complete engine. I questioned him specifically about what I would receive and he guaranteed me that only the alternator, a/c pump, and power steering pump would be missing. I ordered the engine and was told they would be sending me and order authorization form my email which i was to fax back.
When I got the form, I noticed that, at that point, even if I cancelled the order, they would charge me 25% restocking fee. Strange, I thought.
The engine arrived 3 weeks later. I noticed at that point that it was missing the distributor, the ignition coil, and the idle air control valve that is over $300 dollars in parts. I called to complain and they were very rude. I talked to Dale Jones and he basically just told there was nothing he can do. So now I have paid $940 for the engine and need $300 in parts just to get it going.
As part of the contract for the warranty, I was required to change the timing belt and thermostat. Another $120 in parts. I finally got all the parts rounded up had the engine on a stand, ($60 more dollars) was going to change the timing belt. First, I noticed and aftermarket belt on the engine. Hondas do not require timing belt replacement until 160, 000 miles. Instantly I knew this engine had at least 100, 000 miles more on it than they told me. To top it off, it was out of time and the crank would not go through a full rotation. It was not even in running condition as they promised! I contacted Dale and was met with nothing but hostility. I then researched them and found numerous cases of them ripping people off. Something has to be done. I am now trying to gather enough information to file a class action lawsuit that I hope results in every one of those involved being imprisoned, plus compensation for all victims. Contact me at [protected]@gmail.com if you have been victimized by these sleazebags. They need to pay. They need to go to prison and meet big bubba, after all he is their idol.

These pieces of garbage told me that I needed to be charged a "core charge" in order to get my motor of a total of $1000 that I would get back when they picked up my old core. I told them via email and phone that my old motor was blown and that it was in pieces. They said it didn't matter I would get the core charge back no matter what. They picked up my motor, a month went by of me trying to get in touch with them and then they finally answered and said my motor was in pieces and I am not eligible to be refunded. So they basically stole $1000 dollars from me. Oh and never mind the fact that they are the worst company when it comes to customer service. There whole website is a scam. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL ROB YOU OR SEND YOU A BROKEN MOTOR!

Yes they are RUDE! I received a quote for 60, 000 miles and emailed back asking if they had one with less miles. I got an email back, "60, 000 miles is to much? Lol". Well so I called, and they told me 60, 000 miles was a new engine. I was born but not yesterday! I will not be thought of and laughed at for my question. Get some customer practice training guys!

Southwest Engines / SWEngines.com Fraud - Rip-off outfit

Company advertises that they have what you need, engine and transmission parts, even stating how many miles are on it - lies, lies, lies! These people are brokers and sit in an office sending people out to auction sites. The kicker is, they may never find the motor you just paid for, and you are going to charged several hundred dollars because eventually you have to cancel when you figure out they are never going to send it, because they never had it. Caught them in lie after lie, after lie. One can see online that many people receive their engine only to find out it is not the right one and then the customer has to pay freight charges to send it back. Give me a break! These people need to be removed from the internet. What a scam! They get paid no matter what. They can sit on their butts and do nothing and still collect the paycheck. I had to get with my card company just to get back the warranty money that they tried to keep. It cost me an expensive $300 lesson. I did not know that Southwest Engines was really Engine and Transmission World, I did not catch that until the deal was done and I was burned. What a sickening feeling. We gave out every dime we had to get this engine that was destined never to show, to have our money tied up for so long and with absolutely no results other than a ridiculous 25% restock fee on a motor they never even had!
Stay away from Southwest Engines, SW Engines, Engine and Transmission World - they will rob you and put you through the ringer.

I agree. I ordered a transmission for a 95 Jimmy. They sent me a defective one . Now they won't cover any labor. They will only send a replacement. I will never use them again !
