I recently stayed at the Suburban Studios, 3984 Barrancas Ave, Pensacola FL 32507.

I booked my reservation through Priceline and was told check in was at 3:00. Now I did not take in the time change, but when I got to the hotel I was told the room was not ready. My 3:00 check in was EST, they were on CST. No biggie, but they said check in was at 4:00 CST.

So to kill time I grabbed something to eat and started to go see some places I remembered from when I lived there. I was stationed at the Navy Hospital there.

I was back for a Celebration of Life for my aunt who lived there while I was there with the US Navy.

Went back to the hotel and realized the exterior didn't look like the photos on the website. the "r" in Suburban was missing of the front of the building. The sign in the front was blown out on both sides.

I've just driven from Atlanta to Pensacola for a memorial service for my aunt. I couldn't get another room without losing my non-cancellation and non-refundable money I have paid for the room. So I checked in.

When I got to the room, I immediately realized that the room looked nothing like the photos posted on priceline.com, who was I used to book the room. Those pictures were before the current owners bought the property.

Upon arrival to the room we found no soap, shampoo, or toilet paper in the bathroom, there were no towels, there was no waste basket in the bathroom, or any where else in the room.

Where the bed was there are two light scones on either side of the bed, neither worked. The one on the left side of the bed was not even wired, it was just there. The overhead light above the bed didn't work.

Upon further investigation of the room the following was found:

there were roaches, which we battelled our entire stay

5 of the 8 outlets in the room had no power

the outside of the refrigerator was rusted

the smoke alarm was removed

sconces on the walls were covered in dust and the shades were yellowed and broken

places on the walls had peeling paint through out the room

the emergency sprinkler head was removed and the fixture was wrapped in duct tape and painted white

the burners of the two burner stove didn't work

the coffee maker didn't work

the tub diverter was busted, you could only take a shower

there was a huge cigarette burn on the rim of the tub

the tub isn't secured to the wall, it wobbled when we took a shower

the toilet isn't attached to the floor I fell off when I first sat down because I wasn't prepared for the movement.

when we walked out of our room all we could smell was marijuana

there was no phone in the room to contact the front desk although the was a phone jack on the wall

This establishment is booked as an extended stay hotel, I've stayed at extended stay hotels that try to be a 5 star hotel without the luxury amenities, this place is not it.

Do not book a room here, unless you only need it for an hour.

Desired outcome: I don't want a refund. I do feel the current owners need to think about improving the condition of their facility, so that people will chose it as a vacation destination and not a flop house.
