We were two weeks late paying our bill, but when we did, Suburban Propane refilled the tank to heat our daughter's basement apartment...and then put a lock on it.
When did I find out about the lock? On the night the temperature dropped down to five degrees.
I call to have the lock removed. A tech can't get to my house until the Monday -- after a weekend of a polar vortex roaring through Hampden County, Mass.
AND I HAD TO PAY $155 to have the lock removed.
Suburban just stole $155 from my family less than three weeks before Christmas.
I'm having them remove the tank and getting another supplier
Oh, I was never told the tank was locked, so imagine my shock when I figure out the reason the heater in my daughter's apartment won't start is because the tank, which is full, has been locked.
And isn't it suppose to be against the law to leave a home without heat during the winter?
