I am writing to file a formal complaint against StudyDaddy.com, a tutoring platform that connects students with freelance tutors.
I joined the site as a qualified Computer Science tutor and helped many students solve complex programming and technical assignments. The platform charges students and keeps a 50% commission from each completed order. I accepted this policy in good faith and expected my remaining share to be paid on time.
However, despite completing all work professionally, StudyDaddy has withheld my payments, ignored repeated requests, and ultimately suspended my account when I asked for a clear payout date.
Here are the details of my pending payments:
$116.75 requested on May 7, 2025
$287.37 requested on June 6, 2025
$343.92 requested on June 25, 2025
$251.50 still pending and not yet available for withdrawal
Total owed: $999.54
Timeline of the Issue:
I followed all platform rules, waited 45 days before requesting withdrawal as required.
After my first request on May 7, I was told payment would come in late May or early June — nothing arrived.
I followed up multiple times, only to be told it would come at the end of June.
By late June, I was still unpaid, and support continued giving vague responses with no confirmed timeline.
When I expressed that I could not continue helping students without being paid, they refunded questions I had not yet answered and suspended my account instead of resolving the issue.
Despite completing many assignments, not a single dollar has been paid to me.
Worrying Pattern:
This is not just my experience. Other tutors have reported the same issue over the years. StudyDaddy seems to take their 50% cut, and then finds excuses to delay or deny payments to the tutors who did the work.

My Request:
I am demanding immediate payment of the full amount owed: $999.54
I also encourage fellow tutors to avoid this platform and spread awareness about these unethical and exploitative practices.

Enough is enough. Tutors deserve respect and fair payment for their work.
Desired outcome: pay my money
