The whole reason I bought services in the app was t track against my portfolio... like earnings. Since this app no longer has ability to link brokers, it’s no good and I would like my money back. Basically I feel my money was taken based on a product offering that no longer functions (linking brokers). Since this app has lost ability, I want to be reimbursed for the in app purchases I made.

I’m not going to manually input every single position as it takes too much time. Please let me know the outcome of my request, unless you figure out how to be able to link ETRADE, fidelty and all the rest. I am sorry the tradit code doesn’t work but you can’t expect me as a customer that made in app purchases based on the existing product at the time not to expect a refund if the functionality of that same product no longer exists!

I’m still recommending Stocks Live to my friends 1/12. I'm using Stocks live for my stock options now. Still great 10/11. Still great 9/29. Still great 10/18. Still love this app 10/7. I keep telling my friends they should get this app. My stockbroker was impressed. I wish I had the time and the knowledge to use this app to the fullest extent. I trust this app. I recommend this app for it's simplicity and it's complexity. I haven't experienced any problems. It just gets better with each upgrade. Definitely worth the price to me. After several months I'm still happy with this app and no complaints. After almost 3 years using this App I just bought the everything bundle (28 Nov 2014). Don't know how to use everything, but a great App and a great value. Still love this App 14 Feb 2016. I've always been impressed with the quick response to my questions.

Really like the app, the best market app easily. BUT THERE ARE SERIOUS PROBLEMS YOU NEED TO FIX

1) 5 day charts no longer exist. They uses to be there, but now the 1 day chart shows up for the 5 day chart

2) MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM: The OHCL bar graphs are awful, same with the candle sticks. If you could add time frames for each bar such as 5 min, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 month, that would make the graphs much more readable.

3) I was amazed that you had quotes for future contracts. I am really blown away, but some I can find such as Sept S&P index, and then I cant find December Gold. Please put all future contracts on the app.

Your app is a gift for people like me who can't be at a computer all day, but want to have access to the markets. I can not Thank you for your hard work, and willingness to improve. You have already made tremendous progress with the app and I know I will be very impressed with changes in the future.

Definitely much better than anything else I’ve tried so far. Some possible improvements:
-identify money market funds and group with cash
- more intuitive / consistent explicit view of the overall vs daily performance (daily is above overall in some places and below in others)
- there are a couple of hours after market close when closing stock prices are already updated but mutual funds are still from previous day(between about 4pm and 6pm EST). Moreover, not all mutual fund publish their NAV at the same time. It is currently impossible to tell which mutual funds have already updated and which have not, so around 4-6pm the overall portfolio value is inconsistent. Highlighting which mutual funds have already updated for the day (T0 closing price) and which are still stale (T-1 closing price) would be very useful. Reported this before but suggestion was apparently not understood by whoever replied. Please read my description above if the comment is still not clear

Stocks Live is an excellent APP for keeping track of stock portfolio performance.
The APP allows for more than 1 portfolio - I think as many as one wants. It is easy to enter as many stocks into each portfolio as one wants. There is a main page to see the grand total value for all portfolios plus the subtotals for each separate portfolio. And then one can view the detail for each portfolio and live values for each stock. And that's just the beginning.

Now all stocks in the portfolios can be viewed in sequence in the 4 th choice ( named " trade" ) in the feature listing individual stocks, for a quick view of how individual stocks in the portfolios are performing in the moment.

Terrific App!
Accomplishes what other apps fail to do, namely, it offers one the ability to monitor, in real time, one portfolio or MORE THAN ONE portfolio with a summary view with grand totals and then a simple tap to get a detail breakdown of each individual portfolio.
And that's where the additional options start!
Also, very easy edits for stock additions and removals.

This app has a rediculous amount of versatility and the interface is clean and easy to navigate. Managing unlimited portfolios, following unlimited stocks, getting news and such, great app, a definited must-have!
Only problem is that it can be a bit slow when load/refreshing stock data, but that's expected and it doesn't underperform compared to other apps.
Also would be nice if the charts were more like the default stock app on the iphone; flick for next stock chart, button press for time span.
And, almost every time I search a stock by trade symbol it is the ONLY one that doesn't show up haha, so I have to backspace one letter and retype it to refresh the list. This can be quite a nuisance, especially when the load time on the list isn't great and sometimes as I'm about to add the stock to track it the list will refresh and it will disappear. This an simply flicking through charts to browse stocks for drops has kept me from adding anything besides stocks I'm particularly interested in.
Minor quabbles compared to how it keeps track of my investments better than my online brokerage even does!

Update: after a week or so's happy use, I disappointedly realized the app failed to sync with brokers. All new positions or change to existing positions during this week did not show up in the app. This makes the sync useless. So I downgraded the rating for now. Please fix this problem. I also realized the developer hasn't updated the app since October last year.

I have been looking for a portfolio app for two months and tried almost every free or paid. Some lack of sync function with brokers like Robinhood, and some have poor user interface and chunky loading speed when refreshing data from brokers. This is definitely the best one to keep track of multiple portfolios from multiple brokers. There are also many details that are very useful. For instance, the red/green color for the pie chart lets me see whether it is bearish or bullish in my portfolio. The app also lets me sort positions in many ways. I like to see my best positions on top. My only suggestions are: (1) allow users to sync with Vanguard broke account; (2) allow users to see a portfolio performance chart with performance of benchmark.

The visualization of your portfolio performance is cool, but this app lacks anything else I need as a basic investor. Pros: combines performance of all portfolios so you can one snapshot. Cons: Though it's pretty, these guys aren't very good with usability. It took me an hour just to figure out how to set up a basic portfolio.

The thing that makes me the most upset, is that it only compares your portfolio performance against the benchmark daily, so you can't see how you're doing over different time periods or since you started your portfolio. This app is definitely overpriced for what it does, but it's the best one out there. I'm still baffled that I can't just find a simple and easy to use portfolio tracking/visualization app that simply compares my results to a benchmark of my choice.

Also, there are tons of things that are locked in the app as in app purchases. Which is a total scam considering how much the app costs. There are 10 or 20 of them. You can't see how your portfolio is doing on a heat map without paying an extra couple dollars...

Yes, I use the app every day. Is it because I like it? No. It's because I don't have a better alternative.

I've been searching for a new stock portfolio app after the company for the current app I've been using went under and stopped providing updates. I have many positions in at least 6 different accounts and I was dreading having to manually input all of them into a new app. Then I find Stocks Live (through an app review website that gave it extremely high praises). In particular what caught my eye was the ability to sync to brokerages so I won't have to input the holdings myself. Sold!
So I plunked down the $60 and immediately started trying to sync my accounts. But uh-oh, for some reason it wouldn't sync. No matter what I tried I just couldn't get it to work. So I emailed customer support. Ilam immediately got back to me. BTW, Ilam who I thought was just a customer service rep was no rep at all. He was the actual developer. Long story short, within 4 days he found the issue, invited me to beta test his update, and uploaded the fixed app to the App Store. I'm happy to report that it now syncs flawlessly.
Not only does the sync function with beautifully, the app does just what I need it to to keep tabs on everything. The syncing ability got me to buy the app, all of the other functions made me want to stay. The only gripe would be that the sync doesn't cover all of my brokerages so I did have to manually input some. However, Ilam is constantly working to get more signed up and hopefully it won't be long till all of my accounts are linked. I have faith in him.

I want to give this app a better rating. And I want to like it more, but it is too expensive and has too many flaws for a better rating. The base app is $9.99, but almost everything you want to see requires an expensive add on purchase. Really!? For $9.99 you get mostly a shell telling you what your add on options are!
So, I am already $25+ into this app and I still am asked to buy a $7.99 add on to see the earnings and dividend calendar!

The app frequently crashes on my iPad Air. Opening charts causes the chart to display 90 degrees offset from the current screen orientation. However, if I rotate my device to see the chart in the correct orientation the chart rotates another 90. So, I have to use the app in portrait mode, lock the screen rotation, select the chart, and then manually rotate my device to landscape mode to view the chart. For this I paid $25+?

The charts are beautiful and packed full of features and indicators, but try to save a chart (there is a save chart button) and you are told that feature is only available on the website! Why have a button on screen for a feature that is not provided?

The base app should be no more than $1.99 since it does almost nothing other than to provide you with a menu of add on options. There is a single 'every feature unlocked' package for something like $45 and God only knows how much you would pay if you purchased every feature individually. I am guessing over $100. To see a heat map, for example, was an addition purchase. So, buy the high and low breakout feature (among other features) for $7.99 and you can see a list view, but to see a heat map view of the feature you just bought costs you and additional $4.99 !

Now that I think of it, maybe one star is more appropriate. Most of the features you pay for in this app (new highs and lows, volume breakouts) are available for free on many sites. However, other features are not available anywhere else as far as I know. It is valuable to have everything available in one place in one app, but the cost is simply unreasonable. And it crashes every several minutes under heavy use.

When I purchased the app I thought there would be must more included for $9.99. Now I am sorry I purchased it and a handful of add ons to get the functionality I want for a mere $25 and hoping the developers fix the features and bugs without charging me more for that too.

The app is good but only if you pay $89.99. Otherwise all the basic features of a stock app are locked out. $ for dividend info $ for div calendar $ for earnings info $ for earnings calendar... you get the idea. Pay $89.99 or don’t bother with this app.

this refresh every like 30sec, this is not actually live pricing like any other app even the free ones.. I wasted my money in this piece of crap. You cant claim realtime on your site when it is not realtime, this is a fraud and would like to get a refund

The app is just okay. It isn't worth a penny I paid for it. There are plenty of apps that do the same thing that are free. A majority of the app that would be beneficial are locked for in app purchases. I would not recommend this app. The app functionality if fine.

So that was money down the drain. I am a graphic and UI designer and I have to say that the user interface of this App is very unintuitive and poorly designed. If you can't figure a simple portfolio app out after 10 minutes it is a total fail in my book. Save your money and choose something else.

This app is definitely not up to par. An extremely complicated UI notwithstanding, the "live quotes" are anything but. I can compare this app to CNBC, Yahoo, or any other streaming quote interface and this is not even close to accurate information. Disappointed I wasted a dollar. Hope they can correct this issue.

If I’m not mistaken the goal of a business is to maintain current customers, in addition to attracting new customers, no? I’ve enjoyed this app for years and was curious why stock news has changed dramatically, so came to the reviews. And I see repeated belittling of users/customers by the developer. This is unacceptable. Deleting you.

Generally this app offers a lot of functions but is only focused on the US market for example the Trading view chart only works for US stocks which is quite annoying.
The search function for stocks is quite terrible, for example searching for the company ‘SodaStream’ seems to be impossible?!?! This should be the basic of any stock market APP.

This was a great app with the earliest version. Now 90% of the time it does not load any information. It's gone from great to frustrating. The simplest version was great and worth the money the current version just doesn't work. I guess the adage "keep it simple stupid" applies here. Also I can't find a way to contact them any more to ask about this problem.

Albeit, I’m new to the world of self-investing; however, I’ve found this app to be way too difficult to navigate. I’m using Blockfolio now for crypto investments, and it is extremely user friendly and a lot easier to use and see how much percentage gain/loss you have and also to add to or reduce positions. Unfortunately, Blockfolio only works for crypto investments.

Once I figured out how to add & edit portfolios and stocks the app shows good aggregate info. Where it lacks is in identifying individual stock daily gain or loss. If you’re looking to see the percentage each stock accounts for in a portfolio this app does it. I was looking for that plus the ability to track individual stock daily gain or losses so this app lacks for me.

I have used this app for years and really like the layout. I’ve even paid for add on features in the past. However, in a recent update, extended hours stock quotes were hidden behind a paywall. Even basic apps, like CNBC, will provide extended hours stock quotes as a basic feature at no cost. I understand the developers want to monetize this app, but having to pay for extended hours quotes is pretty ridiculous.

Previously free features are now locked behind upgrade tiers.

I have been using this app since 2016, when I paid $40 to upgrade certain features in the app. The news feature worked fine until a week ago. Now The developer is putting this feature behind a Subscription or Purchase for a one time fee for this feature to work again ‍♂️. This app is truly a money grab.

Will be deleting the app.

Just spent $10 on app that continually crashes and doesn't give real access to any data without spending additional money. Complete waste. Sad!

Follow-up in response to developer response: If you click on "World Markets status" and then "United States" it crashes every time. I didn't download the free app - I paid $9.99 and there is no actual content once you download. Everything requires an extra fee, even creating a personal watchlist for stocks.

I purchased full version of the app 12. I do a ton of trading and used a number of different stock apps over the last few years. I continue to search for a good one. This App has a lot of good design ideas and features. But it’s very buggy. A a few things don’t work well. For example twitter feed does not work on iPhone or iPad app. It simply instantly crashes and loops you back to the legal acknowledge page. The charting part of the app is also clunky and there are much better charting apps. Oh well!

I have had stocks live for a very long time, possibly 2014. I was drawn to the one stop tool for monitoring all my trading accounts. Each time upgrades were added I continued to buy up for the app at this point I’ve paid above the $50 mark. Most recently the app featured a plug in for td Ameritrade a service which was previous offered, now there’s another up charge for this service. I’ve paid enough for this 3rd party app and now am using the tos, td Ameritrade and my troweprice apps. I’m done with this app for the constant upgrade costs.

Won’t integrate with brokers yet and asked me to write a review when I tried to add indicators to a chart. Not so cool.

I received a developer’s response. I think there is some confusion on their end indicated by the fact that they asserted I was mistaken (said I lied actually). Why would I leave a review at all? I’d only had the app for few minutes and was just trying it out, what could I even say about an app I’d only just downloaded. Anyway, I. now see that I can’t link Robinhood at all. And this is after I spent the $85 for all their analysis tools. I feel duped.
