I got a car from Stevinson Lexus of Frederick back in Nov. 2018. I paid $2700 for a service contract and later on I wanted a refund. I talked to the service contract company and they told me to talk to the dealer. I called the sales person I got the car from and she gave me a finance manager's info. But I didn't get any response from them. I found the finance manager on the dealer website and talked to them on March 31st. They said they would follow up but I haven't heard anything since then. Another finance manager told me that the contract was non-cancellable which is not true. I have an email from the service contract company that says the dealer can give refunds. Other people have had the same problem. The sales person shouldn't have pushed me to get the contract without telling me the full price. They only said it would be a $2 increase on my monthly payment or a different interest rate.

I bought a car from Stevinson Lexus of Frederick, a 2015 *** ATS. But just two days ago, the check engine light came on. I contacted the service department and scheduled service for 8:30AM 2/18/2022. They found that the RR Lower Control Arm was cracked and it was a major safety concern, including EVAP High Purge Flow. They advised me to go to *** to get it repaired, but *** was out of staff and couldn't do it for weeks. I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion, and they said that they couldn't believe that Stevinson allowed me to leave the lot with the car in that condition. They showed me how the damage to the arm was very old damage, and it went unrepaired for years. I called Stevinson immediately and spoke to Scott H a manager. He promised around 11am he would call me within minutes and get resolved, but hours later he called me back with a completely different attitude. He said he would fix it, but with his tone, I explained my frustration that this went unchecked and could have harmed me or my children. He said it was possible that it was missed during their inspection prior to selling the car. I tried to explain that I was also told that the Purge value issue code + doesn't happen overnight and would have been caught during proper inspection. He said he is not helping with that and he continued to cut me off when I was speaking telling me to Pause. I told him he is escalating the situation and I have the right to be upset, due to the harm it would have caused my family. Scott said I am no longer willing to help you and Hung up on me. Initially I asked the sales rep what the black markings under the bumper were he said someone must had scraped it, the mechanic showed me that was the start of the damage to the control arm.
