Starlite Marina & Sturgeon River Campground

Rented a seadoo for 2 hours for $99.00 plus gas used. After driving the seadoo for 30 minutes it started to run rough. I did my best to get it back to the marina. After arriving there i told them i started running rough and was told i could take out another for the rest of my 2 hours. But then the manager (janet brogan) came out of her office and said she wanted to have her "apprentice mechanic" come back in and check out the seadoo? One hour later the young mechanic reports back that i had driven through "shallow water" and had sucked up rocks into the "impeller" and chipped it. I told them why would i have came back early and told them i the seadoo was running rough if i had damaged it? The manager told me she was putting on my "visa card" $100.oo for a 2 hour rental which i never had? And now a charge of $432.00 for a new impeller? I asked for the damaged impeller and a detailed invoice showing all part prices and labor costs. She told me she would send both items on the "greyhound bus" collect to the nearest depo to my home. Never received either one? But i now have a $ 532.00 charge on my visa card. I am fighting with visa and the b.b.b. to not pay the whole charge? Stay away from using this marina and the hotel beside it which states on the inter-net (their marina) the osoyoos "holiday inn"... the unhappiest of august 2007 osoyoos b.c. canada tourist... "beware"!
