Solidarity Healthshare review: Several unpaid medical bills, some of which were required to be pre-authorized

I became a Solidarity member in 2018, initially attracted because it is Catholic (like me) and seemed to have an ethical approach to healthcare. I tried to utilitize Solidarity only when necessary and in the fall of 2024 had some issues that led me to see a doctor. She ended up referring me for a few lab and imaging tests. Out of 10 bills that were incurred during this time, only 3 have been paid, two of them (the biggest) to a company called Green Imaging, which Solidarity partnered with to help schedule MRIs, ultrasounds, etc. Yet 7 bills remain unpaid. I am now receiving collection notices and phone calls despite reaching out to Solidarity many times to determine the status of payment and being told that "they are in the queue" or that they are "experiencing a backlog but the bills have been approved for sharing." I was shocked to learn from the last call on 8/5/26, that my bills would only be shared when "there are no active members' bills that need sharing" which I took to mean will be NEVER--the representative agreed that was true. These bills were incurred when I was an active member. I continued to be a member in good standing for a full 9 months afterward and only left in 2025 when I had to go on Medicare. I've also been told that active members' bills take priority. My questions are, why didn't my bills take priority when I was an active member, especially when they had to pre-authorize most of the appointments, and why was their "affiliate" Green Imaging paid before any others? For a Catholic organization that took my monthly share amounts and knew about these tests before I ever took them, it is unacceptable that my bills are still unpaid. Two years later, Solidarity doesn't seem so ethical to me anymore.
