I have been a member of this Christian health share for two years and have faithfully paid the monthly share amount for both my husband and myself.
Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We have medical bills dating back to 2025 that still have not been paid or shared, and some of those bills have now gone into collections. I am now left with medical debt that is beyond my means, despite having consistently made my payments as required.
What is especially troubling is that I have been told that if I am no longer a member, my outstanding bills may not be shared. That leaves me feeling trapped—expected to continue paying every month while bills that have already been submitted remain unpaid.
At this point, I have lost confidence in this organization and seriously question whether the program is operating in the way members are led to expect. I can no longer, in good conscience, continue sending money each month when my existing medical bills are not being taken care of.
Anyone considering a health care sharing ministry should carefully understand what is actually guaranteed, how long bill sharing can take, what happens if you cancel your membership, and what recourse you have if your medical bills are sent to collections.
My experience has left my husband and me with significant financial stress and debt, and I would not want another family to find themselves in the same situation.
Claimed loss: I have a loss of approximately $70,000
Desired outcome: I would like my qualifying claims to be paid
