It has been 4 years since our solar panels were installed by Solar Source (previous Superior Solar) and our sales rep, David ***, did a fantastic job explaining the process and benefits to us. We could not be happier with the results.

We use the panels to heat our pool and hot tub. When we have the system set to heat the hot tub it will oftentimes reach the hottest setting of 104 degrees. When we are done in the hot tub we turn the system to pool and the hot water then circulates into through the pool, warming it a bit.

Consequently, we are able to use our pool almost 10 months of the year and the hot tub 12 months - with a little boost from the gas heater. Our gas bill is only $20 a month and that includes the hot water and stove!

I highly recommend David *** as your representative for Solar Source to get your pool solar panels installed as soon as possible!

This review is for an install done back approximately 1.5 years ago for an 8 panel system solar heating system for an in-ground pool. I highly recommend Superior Solar for your solar pool heating needs. Superior Solar seems to be a very honest business based on my experience with them. Dave Spanier came to our house, took measurements and gave us an accurate estimate. Superior Solar uses high quality parts and their installers are very efficient. David answered all my questions and is super responsive to feedback. The price is about what you'd expect for high quality parts and installation. The warranty on the parts are excellent and 2 years after the fact Dave is still answering my questions and providing guidance on my pool and pointing me in the right direction. He still asks about my satisfaction as a customer to this day. You absolutely get what you pay for with this company. It's well worth it go go with this for your solar heating needs.

I'm one of those that will do a lot of research before making a purchase. I pulled the trigger and used Solar Source. It all came down to the product Heliocol and their sales representative David. I wanted Heliocol, and I above all wanted to do business with a company that would value you before and after the purchase. Reading their reviews and many back and forth conversations with David, sealed the deal. My system was installed on 3/25 during the pm, and was at 72 degrees. Since install date, David has followed up with me everyday, to make sure I was happy and to gauge how my pool temp was changing on a daily basis. On Saturday, 3/27 noon (a day and 1/2 later), my pool was at 87 and being enjoyed by the whole family. On Monday (3/28) David got a hold of me asking how warm had my pool been over the weekend. Since David is baseball fan of a rival baseball team, I responded: "Like a deGrom fastball. Hit 90 easily.. Thank you David and Solar Source.

WOW! I can swim in my pool in February thanks to Solar Source! We recently contacted Solar Source looking for the opportunity to install solar heating for our pool. What a great experience, from the first phone call to our visit with our salesperson (David ***), customer service was the key with this organization. I never felt rushed or pushed into my decisions. I was presented with the facts and options to heat my pool. The install was amazing, the team arrived, let me know what they were going to do and how long they would be at the house. Everything was spot on, they cleaned up and trained me on the system and they were on their way. My pool is now at a very comfortable level, actually on January 20th, the temperature was 82, by February 10 we were up to 90. Swimming season is here and it not even spring yet. We are a repeat customer of Superior Solar through David ***. At our first house they installed a solar system for our pool. It was everything we had hoped for. David was responsive and even fixed an issue we had outside of warranty. We knew when it was time to install a solar pool heater at our home, he'd be the guy to call.

Right before things shut down in March, we gave David a call and had our solar installed by Superior Solar as if we could predict the future. We were so very thankful we did when schools closed and we were stuck at home with a 4 year old and a newborn. The pool immediately warmed up and we used it every day for months. They even took it upon themselves to fix an issue they found while installing the system that our pool builder never told us about. I doubt I will be buying another home and installing a pool but if I did, I would use David and Superior Solar again. If i'm in the market for Solar panels to offset my power bill, I know who to call as well.

It was time to replace our old solar system for the pool. I was unsure if I wanted to go with solar panels again due to roof leaks. I met with several companies. I was really impressed with Superior Solar (Solar Source) and the Heliocol system. David *** explained to me on how the fasteners were attached to the roof truss and not the horizontal wood planks to prevent roof leaks.

In early April, the team came out and did a great job installing the equipment. During the install, the project manager used a level on the PVC pipes coming down off the roof and all the connections to the pool pump. Without asking, they also cut off all the wire ties to make it a clean install.

During the Final Building Inspection, I asked the inspector: what did he think of the installation? He said "they did a Superior job!"

I wanted to wait a little while before I took time to post a review. We are very happy with our new Solar Panel system. During the Covid-19 recommendation to stay at home, we were able to enjoy the pool nearly everyday. We can't wait for the next swimming season...- Keith

We got our solar pool heating system a few years ago and just love the fact that we can now use our pool more, throughout the year. I typically don't take time doing reviews, but after the amazing service we have gotten from our sales person, David, I had to do one. We have had issues with the squirrels using our system to apparently wear down their teeth, so unfortunately we have had to call them a few times to come take care of the system leaking. Each time they come out, they are so helpful and always check to see that everything else looks good before they leave. Last time this happened, they were in the middle of a very busy time and couldn't get over to check our system as soon as usual, so David came over himself and personally looked over everything to see what the issue was, in order to help expedite the repair. We have never had a sales person make a house call and personally assist with any type of repair at our house. We were so impressed with his dedication to what he does! We recommend them to anyone that is in need of a solar system. Thanks again David for being so awesome!

We have been very impressed with the solar pool heating system that was installed by Solar Source. From the beginning, David *** explained the finer points regarding the materials and labor to be provided by Solar Source. David provided a very reasonable quote, and the work was completed without any delays or stress.

The Solar Source system has, and continues to preform flawlessly. It has positively increased the property value of our home. Solar Source has certainly met all of our expectations.

Installing a Solar Source pool heating system has really extended the comfortable pool season at our house by at least 10-12 weeks! This was a big plus for us during this past year so we could enjoy our pool even more than ever, especially with all of the "STAY AT HOME ORDERS", personal quarantines, and the "shelter in place" rules that affected us all during the CV19 ordeal.

Calling David *** at Solar Source was one of the best phone calls I have ever made.

So I have to start by saying that I normally do not take the time to write reviews even though I know I should (working on it though). But I just have to do it for this company. A gentleman name David came to the house and took his time in explaining and educating us in the ins and out of the solar heating system for our pool. Needless to say we were more than impressed by his knowledge and patience to make sure that all of our questions were answered and they were, and I ask a lot of questions. After his visit, being the type of individual that doesn't make a decision on the spot, approximately a week later I call him back and scheduled the installation of the solar heating equipment. When it was time to install the equipment, a gentleman named Kyle came out. This guy put this thing together so nicely, the attention to detail was amazing and everything he did was nice and neat! After everything was installed and I had a few questions and got extremely good costumer service, again, from David. He's prompt, available almost any time and answered any and all of the questions I could have had. This is an EXTREMELY TOP NOTCH company to go with if you're looking to get solar heating for your pool. The best of the best I must say!

A 6 out of 5 star company, Solar Source is the folks to call for any solar needs. No that is not a cliché or a paid for review. These guys not only did a great job on corrected several issues that were created by a previous solar company, they also worked highly efficiently which kept the cost per hour worth the money spent. We had Beau and Griffin from Solar Source arrive on time and with two previous calls (one from the company and the other from Beau) to let us know what time to expect them, which is very rare in my area. Like previous solar companies, and with our lack of knowledge of pool solar systems, Beau and Griffin could have increased the cost of solar repairs and extended the time to complete the work. They answered all the questions we had and wanted to ensure I understood all the work needed and the correct way to set up, run and maintain our solar system. Their knowledge was worth the additional time I added to the job by asking many questions. In my initial call to Solar Source I was first concerned about the cost, mainly due to poor service from other solar companies, but after all the work was completed I actually paid less that other companies that performed less work. Again, highly recommend calling Solar Source.

I'll be the first to admit that I can be a pretty demanding customer. That's why it gives me great pleasure to be able to write this letter of endorsement for Superior Solar.

I first met their sales representative, Mr. David ***, in March , when my wife and were shopping for a solar heating system for our new pool. As I recall, we did our research and Superior wasn't the cheapest. That said, the quality of their product line convinced us that it would make long-term sense to give them the contract. Remarkably, the system they installed continues to be maintenance and trouble free.

Eight months later we went through the same process when we installed a solar hot water heating system for our home. David showed us the numbers and explained how over the long run the system would make economical sense - and he was right! With a little bit of hot water management (ie: planning to run laundry on sunnier days) the solar system alone has provided us with probably 95% of our hot water needs.

I will confess that I was a bit disappointed that the Lochinvar solar hot water tank in our garage started to rust and leak after 13 years. With the rest of the system still operating perfectly we replaced the tank and stayed with solar. I was very impressed that David gave us an extremely attractive price on a new Rheem 80 gallon tank. The installation was once again completed on time and professionally.

Over the years We've come to trust the good folks at Superior Solar. They offer reasonable pricing, expert guidance, and friendly service with integrity. It is my privilege to be able to recommend them without hesitation!

I purchased a retrofit of my solar pool heater from David *** at Solar Source a little over a year ago. The system installed by the previous homeowner was leaking and I had it repaired twice. Poor quality material and workmanship was very evident of the root cause of the leaks.
At the time of purchase, my roof was being replaced because of hail and wind damage. Solar Source was flexible working with me to delay the install due to the delayed roof replacement.
I'm quite meticulous, so you can imagine that I had reservations about an unknown entity installing the system on my brand-new roof. The fretting was unwarranted because the care and craftmanship of the install. The panel mounting system, routing of pipe, placement of valves, etc. were all explained in detail and agreed before the work was done. Solar Source installer (Juan ***) took the time to review operation, care, and was able to answer all my questions.
As most homeowners would do with a big expense, I obtained additional quotes. After carefully considering the quality and checking references, I decided that the Solar Source system was the best option. I purchased a 10 panel Heliocol system (USA) at a competitive price. It included PE stamped drawings and specifications, piping to and from my existing filter/pump (a 2-story home), Plumbing Permit, valves, connection to the temperature controller, etc. The PE stamp may not be something most homeowners care about, but as PE (Professional Engineer) myself, I know its value.
My experience has proven that the best warranty is one which you never have to use. If there are going to be issues, I likely would have them by now. David provided great customer service and followed up to ensure everything was good. To date the system is operating just like it did on day one and I would, and have, recommended Solar Source and the David *** team.

It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Superior Solar. They were contracted by me to install a 6 panel, pool heating system. I had no prior relationship with Superior and found them only after an extensive internet search and company evaluation.
The scope of the project involved on-site evaluation, permitting and finally equipment installation. Once ready, the project took less than three hours with the quoted estimate being met without complication. While major construction projects are inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, especially during a time of pandemic, Superior Solar made the process as painless as possible.
Specifically, I would give this company top marks in the following areas:
1. Quality of work crew: The Superior Solar crew was professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of our property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic of good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was always evident. The foreman was able to walk me through the operation of everything that was installed. He was able to was able to teach me all aspects of filter / pump / solar operation. What appeared initially daunting became easy with his expert guidance. It goes without say, that once installed, the crew tidied up and my yard was left in a pristine condition.
3. Project management and coordination. Our company representative David Spanier, was knowledgeable about all aspects of solar heating and our specific project. He was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities from the first. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. Any questions I had prior to installation; he answered my email inquiries within minutes. Though my wife and I expected the occasional hiccup, there was none and we are absolutely thrilled with the system.
Because of this and other reasons too numerous to list, I recommend Superior Solar and Spa WITHOUT RESERVATION.
