Sol Nova about Sol Nova

about Sol Nova. The installation process was smooth and the team was professional. They answered all my questions and explained everything in a way that I could understand. The solar panels look great on my roof and blend in nicely with the overall aesthetics of my home.

Since the installation, I have noticed a significant decrease in my electric bill. It's amazing to see how much money I am saving each month. Even with the AC running constantly, my bill is in the negative! I never thought I would see the day where I am actually making money from my electricity usage.

Sol Nova SOLNOVA installed our solar today and we couldn't be happier so far

SOLNOVA installed our solar today and we couldn't be happier so far. The installers were here for about 6 hours and finished the entire project! I even climbed up on the roof to check it out. Great work. Would recommend.

We have no complaints. The install time was surprisingly fast considering how long the city takes for permits to come back. Everything has turned out pretty much how they explained to us. Access to *** and the office helped when we were not clear on a few things at first.

I ain't too pleased with the service from this company, especially the engineer who did the site survey. Once that was done, it's been a real struggle to get any updates about the installation timeline. I've been trying to reach out to them for months now, but no luck. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone I talk to about solar energy. With the rainy season here, I doubt they'll start anytime soon.

Sol Nova It's been a while since Sol Nova was installed

It's been a while since Sol Nova was installed. SDGand E hasn't received any info about the inspectors checking the solar. I spoke to the County inspector when he was here. He said the City inspector usually comes right after the county. It still hasn't been turned on and the AC guy still hasn't come to install the air conditioner. I've called both salesmen. No calls. I'm paying for the service but not getting any service! Please help get things moving and let me know if I should pay for a service I'm not getting.

Sol Nova Im so happy I found Solnova

Im so happy I found Solnova. I saw my neighbors goin solar, and asked for more info from one of the installers that day. They called me real quick and showed me how much money I could save! Ive had my panels for a few years now, and I called my rep after a hail storm in DFW. They keep impressin with fast response time; took down my system so I could get a new roof, and now its back up and runnin. I was real stressed about it at first, but they made it less scary and real easy. I'd recommend Solnova to anyone!

Sol Nova I'm really mad about the customer service and installation at this company

I'm really mad about the customer service and installation at this company. The installers left holes on my roof from their harnesses and didn’t seal panel fasteners which caused 30k in damages to my home. I called customer service many times but they didn't fix anything. The installers came to fill the holes and seal the fasteners, but nobody called me about the damages or taking the panel off my roof. I'm really unhappy with them. You should find another company for your solar stuff. Now I gotta figure out how to pay for the damages this caused my house.

My family never got notified about the team coming to switch our power to solar. It's summer and they turned off our power at 9am in 100-degree weather. They didn't finish until 4pm, and we have three kids under 5 years old. They didn't even complete the job and just told us it would be done in 2 weeks. It's been way longer than that, and we signed up for solar on May 11, which was 3 months ago. This company is completely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and a waste of our time. I would never recommend them to anyone based on this terrible experience alone. And my home still doesn't have solar power.

Sol Nova Sol Nova, they sold us solar and said it was approved by park management

Sol Nova, they sold us solar and said it was approved by park management. Our park has a restraining order against this company, but they ignored it. They sold us these panels and now we have an eviction notice and will be kicked out of our home because of this dishonest person. They set up the solar without permits and inspector approval. No matter how many calls and texts we send, they won't respond. We have a $42k loan. Please help us, we don't know what to do.

Sol Nova SolNova is a company that sells solar panels

SolNova is a company that sells solar panels. When I signed up, the salesperson promised me that they would reimburse any penalty charges if I needed to switch power companies. Since May , I have provided proof of the penalty charges to the salesperson. Every time I text or call them or the company, they tell me that the check has been mailed out, but I never receive it. This has happened three times. The penalty for breaking the contract is less than $300, and they are not keeping their promise. I can't understand how this company is still in business. They also promised that someone would call me, but I never received a call either.

I signed a contract on 2/28/2022 to get solar installed. The installation took place on 3/15/2022. However, I'm still waiting for the inspection and activation. In the meantime, I'm continuing to pay SDG&E and making payments to ***. I sent an email to ***, but I haven't received a response. I tried calling him, but his voicemail was full. Today, I called the company to check on the progress, but customer service didn't answer. All I want is for the job to be completed. This whole process started back in August, but there were several months without any updates. When I signed the new contract in February, I changed the financing option because I initially planned to pay in full without financing. I've attached a portion of the contract, and if you need more information, please let me know.

I signed a contract with Sol Nova in July to install and start solar panels. The panels were finally installed in January , but I don't think they've been turned on yet because I haven't spoken to anyone or received a monitoring app. On top of that, I've been making payments for the solar panel loan since December, even though I should have had a 45-day grace period before starting to pay. So I've been paying for both the panels and my electric bill this whole time. I tried emailing and talking to the VP, Courtney J, but he hasn't been helpful at all. He just redirects me to his secretary, Barbara, I think. I had a salesperson, but he was told he wouldn't get paid, so he left me too. It's a really bad situation. Thanks for listening.

Overall, our experience with Solnova has been disappointing and frustrating. We were initially excited about going solar, but the lack of communication and poor installation have left us feeling unsatisfied. We would not recommend Solnova based on our experience.

Sol Nova Sol Nova (or their third party contractor) called me on 04/08 'bout puttin' solar panels on my property

Sol Nova (or their third party contractor) called me on 04/08 'bout puttin' solar panels on my property. To check who I was dealin' with, I agreed to the consult. I been on the National Do Not Call list since 2007. Appt is set for 04/09. Instead of waitin' 'til 04/09, employee *** comes by on 04/08 at 6:10pm unannounced. He confirms he's with Sol Nova and sends an email to verify his identity. Once the email is received, I explain why he's there and the *** violation. That evenin', I email my complaint and a copy of my registration on the National Do Not Call list to *** and *** No response. Email again later and include owner ***, who Hyrum confirmed he worked for when he came by. Though readin' the emails several times, neither *** nor Sol Nova have tried to fix their *** violation, though they've read and forwarded the emails several times.

We just got solar installed on our house and in the contract, we were told to pay the finance company but we would get reimbursed for the payment(s). But somewhere along the way, they messed up and didn't send our information for inspection. So, we still can't use our solar. We've been paying for our solar *** and our power *** for four months now, and it's getting pretty expensive. With things getting tougher in our country, we can't afford to make both payments. They're always late in giving us the money so we can pay on time and protect our credit ratings. We can't keep up with paying for two services, that's why we got solar in the first place. Our representative at Sol Nova keeps making promises but never follows through. It's getting to the point where we don't even want the solar on our house because of all the stress it's causing. I won't even get into the contractors they hired for the new roof. There are leaks here and there, and the work is spotty at best. Our roof is still leaking. The support system at the roofing company is just as bad as their service. So, if you choose Sol Nova, be prepared to pay out of pocket every month until the power company gives you the *** (permission to operate). At least that's how it is for us. Paying for two utilities when you only need one just doesn't make financial sense. I'm done arguing with them, so this is my last resort.

I was told by the SolNova sales rep that A. I would not be affected by the increase in the cost of energy because I was using solar. My energy company PEC gives me *** for production, but I pay *** to use what I produced. 2/1 I am losing out on.B. I was told that SolNova would remove the panel for free for 10 years if I ever needed my roof repaired. I live in Tx, we have a lot of hail. NOT true as now I am having my roof repaired and had to file an insurance claim and deductible to have them remove the panels.C. When panels were installed, 6-inch sharp screws, jigsaw blades, and sharp plastic were left all over my yard for my kids and pets to get hurt on. *** was charged $250 for the first two months of having the panels which I wasn't made aware of until I got my bill, sales rep said NO implementation/increased costs.E. When trying to contact SolNova it took almost 4 months to get the appropriate person to call me back. Someone picked up every time but said that "a manager" would call me back. F. Solnova destroyed my roof during install. 10-inch gashes in my roof from dropping the panels aggressively on the roof. Their adjuster came out, examined the marks, said it was them and it has been 8 weeks with no response on how they are going to compensate for the damages. G. Having solar is now costing me more than using normal city energy, which I was told it would not. *** gave them my full "tax rebate" 12k+ and they have been very unresponsive and continue to lie and manipulate what I was told and what they aren't delivering on.

I signed a contract with Sol Nova on 7/22/22 for the installation of 12 Solar pannels with electricity hook up. I called multiple times for when installation was to be started and got the run around. I finally got a date and the installation of pannels and conduit were installed on 10/03/22. there were no electrical wires run and electrical box installed. I called Sol Nova on 11/7/22 to ask them when the rest of the work was to be completed and they stated that they were waiting on the city of Manteca (where the installation is being done) to inspect and give PTO (permission to operate). Nothing happened and on 11/28/22 I called the *** and was told that they were never contacted by Sol Nova for an inspection and that all the electrical work needs to be completed before they can inspect and give the *** I called Sol Nova on 11/29/22 and told them and they said they will check with the project manager and get back to me. As of 12/2/22 I have not received a call back. The length of time this project has taken is over 4 months and counting. I have talked to other people in my neighborhood who have also gone solar with other companies and they tell the complete process took them 6 to 7 weeks from signing contract to city inspection. The customer service and execution of *** is very poor and I am worried that I will not be able to get my tax credit for going Solar this year. Also I do not have the ability to upload any documents. the only one I would have would be the standard contract. Thank you for any help you can provide.

We signed the contract for our Solnova system on July 23 and was told installation would take 4 to 6 weeks. It was finally installed October 27, 3 months later, after several phone calls to your offices. The day after installation, I received a phone call from *** asking if I had received a Welcome Call from the finance company. I hadn't but did call them to confirm the system was installed. On November 4, I called SDGE to see what was happening with our account and they had no record of our system being installed. I got back to *** who said we needed to get on the schedule with the State inspector, who would then contact SDGE. *** said he would check on the schedule and get back to me. I never heard from him. I called Solnova's office and spoke with the receptionist on Nov. 10 who set up a pre-inspection for Nov 17. I have to assume someone came out but never saw anyone. After more phone calls, the "final inspection" of the system was scheduled for Dec. 6, but was cancelled that morning because the City permit for our installation had expired, and a new permit needs to be issued before we can move forward. As of today, Dec. 7, we are not connected to the grid and my first payment to the finance company for the system has been paid, and I still have a full usage *** from SDGE. I have spoken with Service Finance and expressed my sincere displeasure with Solnova, specifically asking how Solnova could have been paid over $38,000 when the system still isn't active? They did explain that Solnova gets paid once the panels are installed, but not necessarily approved. I reached out via email to Josh *** (VP) as well as EJ (salesman) on Nov 23 and never received a reply. The ONLY way I discovered what was happening is from your receptionist after calling. This is not what I expected after meeting with your sales staff... extreme misrepresentation and no follow-up.

Sol Nova In April , I started working with Sol Nova to get solar panels on my roof

In April , I started working with Sol Nova to get solar panels on my roof. It's been over a year now, and I still don't have solar. They were slow to get things going, partly because the Sacramento Utility District was slow to cooperate. But there were also delays in submitting permit applications. Finally, on Aug 17, 2021, they installed the panels, but it took another 3 weeks (Sept 10, 2021) to finish the work because they hadn't planned for a second day. Even then, only the panels were installed on the roof, and they hadn't completed the connection to the grid or the upgrade to the breaker box, as well as the EV charger. I waited with little communication from Sol Nova until Nov 27, 2021, when they told me I needed to fill out one more form to complete the project. They finally submitted the paperwork to the utility company on 12/5, but the next day I got an email from SMUD (utility) saying the paperwork was incomplete and the project was denied. One of the main reasons was that the panels' output was too high for the proposed project because they hadn't included the promised EV charger in the plans. I provided SMUD with as much information as possible and informed Sol Nova, but they said it was their responsibility to update the project and resubmit the paperwork. After that, I didn't hear anything from them. I emailed them on Feb 8, 2022, but got no reply. I reached out again on April 15, 2022, and received a one-sentence response saying the project was moved to the permit tech. Since then, I haven't heard anything more. It's been over a year, and I'm frustrated. I want to negotiate a significant discount on the project because of the delay. I've been paying for power for over a year when I should have had solar, and I've put off refinancing my house until this is done.
