In January I received a mailed statement dated 01/12/2022 that states $300 owed to SimonMed related to an MRI conducted on 12/07.I originally had been scheduled for the procedure on 10/25. The procedure was rescheduled to 12/07. Payment had been made in the amount of $908.74, posting to my HSA account the following day on 10/26. An employee at the center stated it could take too long for a refund to process to my account before I would need the funds to pay again and that I should bring my receipt to the rescheduled appointment.I was contacted on 12/06 by *** who said SimonMed overcharged on 10/25. Mr. stated I would only be charged $300 and receive a refund for the additional amount paid. On 12/09 I received the refund of $608.74 for the difference of the $908.74 paid on 10/25 and the $300.00 amount.Nevertheless, the *** received asks for payment of the $300 already paid. Further, when verifying the balance online the amount shows as only $100.00 due and that only $200.00 was paid.On 01/20/2022 I attempted to reach Mr. by phone at ***. A woman there informed me Mr. was not present and agreed to ask him to call me back. Having not heard back, I called 02/04/2022 and left a message asking Mr. to call me back. I then called SimonMed's billing department at ***. I was told there I had only paid $200. When I attempted to dispute the statement the agent disconnected the call. I then wrote to SimonMed's billing email with these facts and corroborating evidence. On 2/11/2022, I received an email from SimonMed stating my case would be considered closed if I did not respond. I replied on 2/12/2022, "My case has not been resolved."Another *** arrived in March stating it is a final notice and claims $100 owed like previously seen on their billing portal but different from the first *** claiming $300.As I have paid the $300 owed ($908.74 - $608.74), I request assistance.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
State is absolutely horrible. To cancel appt and not wait for authorization then to put on cash payment makes absolutely no sense
I overpaid for my MRI and X-Ray I had done on 2/24/23 by $411 and I have still not been refunded even though my refund was supposedly processed back in April. Next week I am calling a lawyer to see what my options are since I am not the only one this has happened to.
