Saxton 4x4 A Jeep car miss sold to me

This so called dealer has to be the very worst I have ever dealt with in over 45 years buying cars. I have been lied to by Brett Robberts , Mo Khan, and Dan Yeomans. I bought a Jeep sold to me with full service history, I have asked for my service book now for over a month, to be emailed very bad copies and then fobbed off every time, I then start looking into Saxton 4X4 to see that they have been found guilty in Essex court for miss selling cars in the past. if you want any good advise just google Saxton 4x4 reviews and you will see just how horrific they are,

Desired outcome: As I bought the car with Santander bank I would like a full refunds as it has not got a full service history and as such is not worth what they miss sold me the car for

Saxton 4x4 Purchasing a car

Good morning, I would like to state that my experience with Saxtons has been far from satisfactory. It has been 11 days since I have purchased my vehicle which was a brand-new range Rover sport. I have still not received my invoice for the vehicle. I have still not received my £500 that I have paid for my Audi Q8 that was supposed to be refunded to me once the service has been confirmed. I also took out a gap insurance and have not received any information regarding this and have asked numerous times via messaging phone calls and email the lady that I am dealing with when questioned about these documents was very defensive and not professional in any manner. I feel deflated when I should feel at my most happiest. I have purchased a car of my dreams, but instead have not had the opportunity to enjoy it as for the last 11 days, I have been chasing Saxtons and have had no outcome. And as many other reviews have stated, they are all smiles until you’re out the door then you never hear from them again I would never purchase from Saxtons again I purchased my vehicle on the 24th of March 2023

Desired outcome: Would love to receive the documents that I have asked for and my £500 refund, as I am more than in my rights to do so what do you want Man ? What would you think you want?

Saxton 4x4 Non refund of part payment and poor customer service

Absolutely disgraceful, went to purchase a car this weekend to find that the information provided by sales was not entirely correct. No. 1 not one mention of a admin fee this was advised once I had already paid a deposit. No. 2 no mention that the standard warranty does not cover you for all aspects of the car and if you wish to be covered fully you have to pay for an additional cover that is £1000. Please be aware that the 3 month cover is by RAC and does not cover electrical faults and only 2,000 per a component which again was not advised or clear when purchasing the car. It has been an absolute shambles from the start to today. 3 days of he said she said and no one person taking responsibility. I have never seen so many, managers but yet are they really managers?! Walking around with titles that clearly out rank their skills... Yesterday I took out finance to pay for the car to then clear with the finance company within 14 days with no additional cost. Signed this yesterday with regret. Today went to collect the car at 6pm to then go through the hand over information to then be told that no your not covered for any electrical components, not one person could give me any reassurance or anything in writing to say I had consumer rights that covered me for 30 days as they was unable to do this but also wanted me to sign a document to what the 3 month warranty from RAC covers ( Another CON) . I have been advised that the finance I signed for yesterday had not been released which I will have to check in the morning and if this has then again another lie. They can not refund the £500 deposit as I need to now go through their legal team as I have cancelled the order due to the above issues. Also my husband was advised as the car that we intended on purchasing required new breaks we more than likely would not get our deposit back as they had to replace the breaks. This is horrendous, so what has happened from this is... I trusted Saxton with a purchase and they lied and withheld information and when advising that none of this is clear and we wish to cancel and not proceed we we was then threatened that we wouldn't get our deposit back as the brakes have been replaced and basically there not prepared to help in anyway. I've left this evening with no car, finance in my name and no idea if they have told the truth and £500 out of pocket which may never see the light if day again. I will be reporting them and also going to be be sharing the videos I recorded of the lies and deceit and how Saxton really work. Please save yourself the drama and stress and visit the normal dealers. I plan to be buying my car direct with Audi and I will never make the mistake twice p.s I wonder how many extra warranty has been taken out to then be not honoured.

Saxton 4x4 No deposit refunded after cancelled car by Saxon 4x4

I am very disappointed that after 2 months and numerous ignored calls and emails to Matt Pacey (sales) and Mehmet Dagcilar (finance manager). I am still to receive my refund of £99.

I was due to collect the following vehicle but it was withdrawn from sale due to electrical faults:

Audi Q5 DIESEL ESTATE 40 TDI Quattro Black Edition S Tronic

Vehicle price: £36,500.00

Registration number: YJ19CDW

Registration date: 28/06/2019

Current mileage: 11,027 miles

Having already passed finance, they didn’t want to miss a sales opportunity and so I was subsequently offered a Land Rover with significantly higher payments which I refused.

I’ve requested my deposit back countless times but no reply.

I wouldn’t trust this company they are thieves and sell dodgy vehicles. Don’t trust their ‘nil point check’ and manipulated finance deals.

Desired outcome: I want my £99 deposit back!

Saxton 4x4 Sales and after sales

I contacted Saxton 4x4 today to enquire about a refund for a deposit payment they incorrectly took by credit card, which was then also paid by bank transfer. The call handler was very patronising about how credit card refunds work and despite explaining that time delays had not been made clear when the error took place at the point of sale, became hostile when I explained we were checking because it was a large sum. I told him he was patronising me and referenced the confusion and number of phone calls needed to arrange the purchase of the car, which was not reassuring and led to there being no v5 document for the vehicle, so we wanted to check. I expressed that when previously buying cars from comparable dealerships the document had been available. He became extremely aggressive and said he was insulted to be compared to other dealerships and that this was not a direct comparison and threatened to end the call accusing me of being insulting. I expressed that all we were seeking was reassurance that the funds would be returned after difficulty arranging the collection of the car due to paperwork earlier in the week and all he needed to do was explain, apologise for any worry caused and thank me for calling. Instead he continued to be abusive and hostile and I ended the call due to his behaviour. This will make us think twice before coming to Saxton again. Appalling treatment of a customer and totally unnecessary and upsetting. My husband was shocked overhearing the transaction during the call when all of this was avoidable if firstly, the error had not been made and secondly, the process had been clearly explained to him. Utterly disgraceful.

Desired outcome: I would like a formal apology by the manager for the disgusting behaviour of his sales memver and a check that the funds are actually en route, which was the entire purpose of the call.

Saxton 4x4 Range Rover svr

I bought the car on finance in September 2021. The car has had to have 2 lower arms and now the head gasket has gone. The car has 33350 on it. I have contacted saxton who have been very defensive and asked for video proof that the car had issues within 6 months of buying it so I have sent the videos they have requested and they have now stopped Emailing or contacting me. They told me in my email if I could prove this then they would have to prove to me the car was good at point of sale and still nothing from them.

****Warning for Range Rover Sports LG13 SYX ****

I bought Range Rover Sports LG13 SYX car from Saxton 4x4 in April 2018. At the sales point Saxton 4x4 never mentioned and hide millage discrepancy of the car, which was only revealed when I went for a part exchange.. The car was sold to me with new MOT and service from SAXTON 4x4’s own garage with a millage of 62253 Miles. Prior sales in August 2017 the actual millage was recorded 96446 Miles MOT centre as well as to GOV.UK website (https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/?_ga=2.148099390.801955175.1663951342-15108087.1662309007). Due to this mileage serious discrepancy, no one showed their interest to buy the car. I contacted SAXTON 4X4 and ignored and therefore had to resolve the matter legally.

I don’t recommend buying any vehicle from SAXTON 4x4 as they are unreliable, fake, liar, unreasonable, unjust and pure scam.

Saxton 4x4 VH69EHB Range Rover Evoque

Dear Sir/ Madam

LETTER BEFORE CLAIM

On the 27th of March 2021, I picked up vehicle with registration number VA69EHB from Saxtons following purchase from contact Mr Daniel Yeoman.

Due to the Covid restrictions, transactions and pre-sales agreements were conducted via telephone and electronically for a deposit of £5000 with assumed settlement figure to be made by your finance team for £23.500 for vehicle registration YR16JPV (also purchased from yourselves).

However, upon arrival and collection of vehicles, Alpha Finance provided a settlement figure of £21.245.70 which was less than pre discussed and overall exchange cost with new vehicle VA69EHB.

Your team advised whilst on Saxton site, there would be a reimbursement of approximately £2000 credited to my account within and up to 14days from the 2nd of March 2021.

I have since made several calls to Saxton and sent emails to both Mr Yeoman and Andy Vowles in a bid to rectify this matter. However, I continue to be passed from pillar to post with failed assurances that the finance team are dealing with this matter.

I would appreciate if this matter could be investigated and dealt with as a matter of urgency as this has caused great distress to myself and my family

It appears following the glowing aftersales feedback which I was harassed to provide by your team following collection of my vehicle after 48hours, the customer service has been non-existent. There has been a continuous avoidance from Mr Vowles and evident avoidance to take my calls following numerous messages left with the reception team or the courtesy to acknowledge my emails.

I will seek legal redress without further notice if this matter is not resolved with 14 days from the date of this letter.

I look forward to your assistance on this matter.

Saxton 4x4 The purchase service of a range rover

I am so annoyed by the recent service I had from Saxtons 4x4

They have been so rude and in helpful

The vehicle I held with deposit and also applied for finance on was not as described at all

Around an hour before we were due to leave Friday to collect they dropped it on us it had 1 key only

We were annoyed but said we would collect Sunday as long as no other issues we should no about
Nathan said the car was lovely

We arrive to find large paint flacks missing on grill and large stone chips all over grill and in other areas of the car (they told us all large chips had been sprayed)

The wheel had damage on drivers side

Large paint chips on back door passenger side inside

Missing cap on the wheel with damage

Major service had still not been completed as due and requested (already 5 months late)

The car hadn't even been cleaned properly and had something stuck in the seat

I just can't believe you would let us drive 3 hours to get to you and then be so rude about the issues

Nathan Davis says (it is what it is and he'll sell the car tomorrow either way)

Clearly our customers didn't matter

I will be certain to share my experience in every way possible

Very upset by the situation, every customer should matter

We buy cars at least every 2 years and when the market drys up customers like us become your bread and butter

I feel being cocky about cars sales is shameful and not treating customers fairly

You held not only our money but our trust and you have lost both

Desired outcome: I would have liked to but the car as it was described with no issues and two keys

Saxton 4x4 Reservation fee not refunded,

Reserved a car for £99 and was told after 3 days it was last day of reservation, so I was advised to put another £500 and they will keep the car reserved longer for me and stated it is refundable. I applied for finance but was not happy with the offer. Car seller was also forcing me to buy warranty and I was told he will not sell me the car if I don't buy warranty. Redicilous! I decided not to pursue with getting the car as the figure was not consistent. One telling me the price includes warranty while the other one telling me it doesn't include warranty. In the end I was told I was not getting my £599 in total reservation back. And that I have to pay 10% of car's value. I was shocked. I did not even sign a contract of agreement nor accepted the lender's offer so why do I have to pay 10% of car's value and the deal was not done? The seller said I signed the order form when he did not even presented me with an order form, they sent it to my email showing I signed it and when I checked it, it's a fake signature. It's not my signature. It is forgery. How can I sign a form that is not even presented to me? The finance manager even said I should have a copy of order form and proposal form as it should have been given to me, I don't even have one of this. Nothing was given to me. The seller even put down the additional £500 reservation fee as a deposit when we agreed it was an additional reservation fee to keep the car longer and not a deposit. I was misled.

Saxton 4x4 V62 money taken but no V62 filed

I bought a car from them in 2019 and found they they had not filed the V62 even though money was taken
They sorted the V62 issue recently but I'm still waiting on a refund for the money I paid for the original one
I've emailed several times and called several times but no response
The police have tod me to chase them to get the refund but its impossible
I need the money having lost my husband to covid and being a single mum struggle

I have purchased the vehicle 6 weeks ago and I still have not received my V5. I have called Saxton every single day and all they said is that they are going to return my call. I went back to Saxton and they have told me that they have sent the documents for my V5 to be issued. Turns out DVLA never received my application for the logbook and Saxton keeps saying that they have sent it and that the copy of V62 is a proof of that. Lies!

Saxton 4x4 Incorrect address filed on log book

We have purchased a car BMW x4 from Saxton 4x4 in Chelmsford in January 2020.

On the sale, they fill in all the documents and send it to DVLA.
As we have not received the V5 from DVLA, concerns were made as to what could be the reason. We found out that they have put completely different address on the log book, causing us huge problems with traffic enforcement and dvla!

Desired outcome: compensation of penalties over £1000

Saxton 4x4 GLC 250 bought from them

My experience at saxton 4x4 could have been better because I walked into saxton on a weekend to view the car, my appointment was at 3:00 pm, I was there to see alex everitt, made wait for us for more than 30 min before he sees us, and collection of vehicles are good at saxton, we browsed 4-5 vehicles and alex arranged a test drive, I gave alex clearly what I am looking in my next car, so finally we choose glc petrol version, repeatedly I was asking him on phone do we have folded mirrors and do we have the latest version of maps and other stuff, he said yes, you have what you are after in glc, sunday I paid advance and went we sai we will collect on fallowing saturday, I tookappointment o see alex for handover @10:00am, but on the morning I could not make it 10:00am, so sent message, we will be seeing him at 11:00, we are there by 11:00am, but alex kept us waiting and saw us @12;00, but car is not ready for collection and test drive, he aid car will be ready in 45 min, we went to grab coffe and return after an hour, again made us wait for another 1 hour, finally he saw us after 2:00, took us to test drive, then I found car is not washed and cleaned properly, which I informed alex, after our return back to office, he took again into garage and cleared what I pointed, again another 45 min wait then he did paper work and I was asking him question, like how to do foded mirrors, he said he dont know, he will ask his colleague and willcome back, he went in and no luck, his colleague also osent know, he said he will ask technican on monday and will call back me, I repeated asked him dose this car has latest map, he said yes, come monday, mid day alex called me and informed the truth that this car dosent have folded mirrors, so all the week when ever I called and asked him hhis answer yes you got all what are after is "generalised answers", I dont understand how specific I should be, alex keep telling me that I did not ask, if I dont ask, when handing over the car why will icheck that options, after fe long calls and trying to blame as lier he agreed he ill get his manager muhammad after couple of days alex called me with his manager muhmmad, I explained what happend, his manager also tried to blame as lier, and finally he sai you ahve to pay for the retrofit and he will get a trade price which will be 50% less than retail price, and again after 3 days alex sent a text saying it will cost me £1260, as trade price, but I enquired with other merc specialist how much it will cost me as retail customer, it cost me £1260, so again saxton lied me and gave mis information, I informed the same to alex, and sent him the screenshots of the website and actual cost merc will change is far lessthan what alex quoted me, these days it really getting hard to catch hold of alex to resolve this, as he always says he is super busy, so after sales is "zero" from saxton, dosent care about their customers, as writing this I am still waiting for alex to call me and resolve this, and also about maps, I asked alex may times dose it have latest maps, again miss information from alex, car has older version of maps, I am confused why saxton give miss information or keep lieing to people, I am still waiting for alex or some one from saxton to call me and resolve this asap,
With all these how can I recommend saxton to any of my friends and family... Hope saxton improve and train their staff not to lie to customers and not to give generalised answers to the specific questions asked... Saxton if you read this, please resolve this asap, as it's hard to get off the sales guy

Saxton 4x4 purchased a dodgy vehicle

Not happy with my experience thus far with Saxtons 4x4.
I test drove a Discovery Sport with Konrad and wanted to purchase it but the vehicle I was then given was not the same Discovery Sport however I was told it was exactly the same so no need to pull it out and test drive it.

After receiving the vehicle I purchased and as I drove it off I realised the seat had warn and this was incredible uncomfortable and was hurting my right leg.

I tried to call them immediately however they were closed so the next day I took the vehicle back and was told to just by a seat cushion. I tried this and still no better.

I said I wanted to reject the vehicle however I was told that because I test drove it (I DIDN'T) that they would not take it back. I was then told to sell it on we buy any car at a loss of £4000 in less then 24 hours.

I have since spoken with Ian the sales manager who advised me I could not reject the vehicle but told me to send in a email regardless.

I find this completely unacceptable and I will be taking legal action against Saxtons if they do not allow the vehicle to be returned and issue me with a full refund.

I now have incredible pain on my right side and I cannot work and I am laid up on the sofa.

If this was a main dealer you would have no issues but Saxtons really do not care once you pay them.

I urge anyone who wants to buy from Saxtons to test drive the exact vehicle you are paying for and if they don't let you walk away!

I cannot let this drop and after seeking legal advice I will 100% win in court as the way they went about things was incredibly shady and the seat on the car is clearly much softer then the passenger seat and even Konrad said "this happens to these seats" after speaking with Land Rover direct they have confirmed this is untrue and should not happen.

Update for this review...

Konrad the sales person rang me yesterday as he was unhappy with my review and said that the director of Saxtons refuses to give me a refund however he is willing to replace the chair on the car with another Discovery sports chair they have for sale meaning that the poor person who buys the other one will have my damaged seat and it would invalidate my warranty.

Saxtons are awful to deal with and once they have your money you will never see it again regardless.

I have no choice now but to take them to court over this which I am shocked about but not a surprise seeing as they have a awful reputation for this which unfortunately I did not know until I paid them my hard earned money for a car that I cant drive.

What a truly nasty company to deal with, I wasted time and money to view a car that was advertised but didn't even exist, even after the salesman told me it was there waiting to be viewed, the so called "senior salesman" didn't even know what stock he did have. No return of communication by phone or email, I'm only thankful I chose not to buy a vehicle from them because I dread to think what their after sales service is like, there were people complaining in reception when i arrived and have read numerous bad reports... don't waste your time or money, stay well away!

Saxton 4x4 Poor after sales

We were very easy customers and bought a Mercedes ML from Saxton4x4. Salesman Warren closed the deal in less than one hour. Upon collection of our car, we found two accessories missing and requested Saxton to send them to us (this item was already pointed out during the sale). Despite making several calls later to follow-up, Saxton simply ignored our request and kept making excuses as to why the items has not been sent to us. We have been calling them for more than one month and we are finally giving up. Do not buy from them as they do not care after the sale has been concluded.

Saxton 4x4 They will take your money happily and show you the back door on the way out... and lock it

I have been duped into buying a 4x4 that has a poor history and was not revealed by Saxton 4x4 on purchase. Now they wont give me my money back and have sold the car I part exchanged with. Do not buy anything from this dealership. They will take your money happily and show you the back door on the way out...and lock it!

This company takes your money with a smiles and promises and once you have driven away thats it, I have my car there at the moment for iver a week with simple faults but they make out they are waiting for parts and then it was the wrong parts came in and you know its just lies I bet they have not even looked at it, they now recon it should be ready next week but I wonder plus there salesman Niel give the talk ut I have Ben asking for the spare key since I purchased the can in December 2010 and he never gets back at all and I called twice this week and they said I will get him to call and guess what no call and I called there service department on saturday saying I really need the car back and they said they would get one of the service guys to call and once again no call, and when I collected the car it was flithy, noway had it been cleaned and serviced, would I buy from them again not a chance!

I waiting for 600£ refund for last 3 months

I call about 6-7 times and nothings getting sorted.
