I had a bad experience with San Luis Ambulance Service, Inc. On Father's Day, I called them because I was in a lot of pain after surgery. The pain meds I was given didn't help at all. I had surgery on my left ankle and couldn't get to my car without help. My wife wasn't strong enough, so I needed to get to the ER. Cal Fire came first and offered to help me get to my car. Then the ambulance arrived. The ambulance attendant said they could get me to the ER and give me pain meds on the way there. I was happy to accept, but it turned out to be a lie. Once inside the ambulance, I asked the attendant where my pain meds were. He denied that the other attendant had said anything about pain meds. I'm angry that I was manipulated by the San Luis Ambulance employee after Cal Fire had already offered to help me. Now I'm being charged $4,000 for a 15-mile ride.
