The Salvation Army USA harrisburg arc staff violence

I am a current benificiary at the Harrisburg ARC at 3650 Vartan Way. On Thursday April 26th at around 8pm, an incident occurred between a staff member and another benificiary. The staff member named Stanley O, was in a pysical altercation with a benificiary named Nathan. Nathan was being evicted due to a positive drug test, and being currently under the influence. He had been beligerant for a few minutes, after which Stanley O, the current Resident Manager supervisor, hit Nathan in the face twice. After a tussle when Nathan was on the ground and injured, Stanley O procedded to kick Nathan in the face. The cops were called and an incident report filed. But now after a few days it seems that this incident is being swept under the rug. This altercation was caught on video tape and should easily be reviewed. The amount of force and the attack on the benificiary is outrageous and out of control. I would like to submit that Stanley O, be reviewed for this incident and his employment taking under review. I have a very hard time believing that this is acceptable in any way, shape, or form, from the ARC.

The Salvation Army USA unprofessional employee and hostile behavior

I would like to just announce for anyone around this particular facility that if there is an employee working around achild or children and vulnerable people who relies on the help of those from your organization, I do not think someone who finds joy in fighting on the streets is the right person to be in a working living environment with so much hostile for those in need.. Especially someone who is suppose to represent your organization. I would be absolutely embarrassed if this was one of my employees... What usually happens outside of work should not matter if your a waitress of some sort with no life, but this young lady Crystal Garcia out of your lubbock tx location is an absolute embarrassment for a non profit organization like salvation army.. just take your time in reading her outbursts... I wouldn't be surprised if she is hostile with the children and parents... I would advice you to find a replacement someone already safe to be around.. I would not take or recommend your facility as long as she is employed.. I would hate for this to go public.. The act of a salvation army employee.. to be ranting on fb about going to someones house to fight them and quote "I like when they fight back its called a challeng" what grown mother and employee of a wonderful organization like salvationarmy acts like that.. I'm sorry if she is left in that facility around children when she can not even control herself that is a high risk of endangering a child and people in general... Please look into to this and make sure someone with no shame and who is proud to act like an animal should be apart of your organization in great things.. I haven photos to show the extent of anger... I have message the fb of salvation army have yet to recieve a response and the director Erica Hitt also no response.. thanks in advance

The Salvation Army USA I am complaining about a manager

I wanted to make a complaint about one of your Managers from one of your stores. I had a very bad experience on Saturday April 21st 2018 because my daughter of 7 years old had a bad experience in one of the dressing rooms she went in to try on a dress on her own I was outside the door . aAs she was finishing up getting dressed to her regular clothing after trying on the dress she picked up her blouse that had fell on the floor, as she picked it up she noticed her blouses wet and said "mommy my blouse is wet with something sticky and gross" she said, so i got her blouse and I touched it when I touched it it was sticky and gross I smelled it and that's when I found out that it was growth it was semen some gross person went in there and that they're disgusting thing and left it all on the floor as I told the store manager she didn't believe me she went to go check and she said sorry she told me if I want to go wash my hands I did I came back I told her I wanted to make a report but one of the other managers that was there started making a big deal out of it and said well this was his comment "you are at a thrift store there is homeless people that come here it's only feces we've had to deal with other things that are worse than that get over it" as he was taking care of customers cashing them out speaking out loud that's what he said I don't appreciate those kind of unprofessional comments, my husband asked to speak to him aside alone to express how he didn't like his comment and his uncaring comment towards his customers, this manager told my husband yeah give me a minute my husband waited and waited and he took a while we still needed to get an item that was heavy into our car we went to go put the item in the car while he finished taking care of customers he finish taking care of customers he came outside to find my husband my husband Express to him that he didn't like the comment he had made in front of the customers that is very wrong and we didn't like it because he should care for his customers cuz we're the ones who give him a job basically and he said I'm not mad for what happened to you I'm mad because my employees have to take care of it not you and my husband said well if you're mad at that you shouldn't be talking to your customers that way especially if we wanted to make an incident report for something so delicate he didn't want to take an incident report he was making a big deal talking talking out loud saying it's not a big deal what for so my husband expressed to him that he should really be careful what he says in public and he should care for his customers a little bit more he turned around started mumbling walked away mad since me and my husband always go to that store we've never had a problem like that happen the employees there are very nice we have never had an incident like that happened to us before. And if we go to the Salvation Army it's because we don't have the money to go tomorrow we don't have the money to go buy brand new items for a family were low-income family and we'll try to get the best priced items we can afford we spent a lot of money there and we don't like the way we were treated by this manager at all we felt humiliated unwanted and honestly quite sick of how people could take things lightly and not care maybe for others it wasn't a big deal for me and my husband it's a big deal only because it happened to my seven-year-old daughter and I don't need that but the wait your manager treated the situation was very unprofessional ungrateful and honestly he was just a mean person. I really do hope something is done about this matter, no need to me but to that store that's a nice or very nice employees just that manager I don't appreciate and I've seen conflicts with other people with him before in the past I just chose not to make a big deal out of it I don't agree how he takes care of things or how he treats customer and quite honestly this time it went overboard. Hope to hear from someone soon about the situation. And I hope they take my complaint seriously.

The Salvation Army USA food pantry

The food pantry employees have been stealing and keeping the best of the food donations and taking them home to their families at the end of their work shift I have seen them do it, used to volunteer there and when I had walked in on them doing it on several different occasions I was told I could not be a volunteer there any more, if this situation isn't straighten out then in going to not only file a law suite, in going to have my attorney involved with filing it, also they are very prejudice against the homeless and white people, and that will be the second law suite I will file after the first law suite is done.

The salvation army food pantry employees have been taking food donations and keeping the best of the food for them self's and taking it home at the end of a work day, have been very discimitory against homeless, volunteer workers, treating them like garbage, as if they are going to steal from them. When the food pantry worker's them self's ate stealing food donations at the salvation army command center in golf port, these workers take the best of the food donations home at the end of their work day, and when a volunteer walks in on them doing it, they have the volunteer dismissed, or treats them Luke garbage until they quit, talk about calling the kettle black, they should be replaced with people who are more caring about the people.

I actually made this up because it was me that was fired for taking food. and clothing for myself. I made this up to make them look bad. Now I am being told by my friend that they can take legal action themselves. Please do not sue me salvation army. I was angry when I posted this and was not thinking straight.

The Salvation Army USA furniture donation pick up

The person that came to supposably inspect my furniture/ sofa claimed on his silly computer that it had deficiency such as a scratch when it really came down to him being discriminatory against the driver/ his partner an old man he mumbled under his breath at the door on way out that he'd have o do all the work, meanwhile he didn't even look like he cut it bc he was a bad mouth type street thug no meat on his bones just poor attitude and bad energy in my home, not welcomed anymore. Last time I do business with your company. What the young thug doesn't understand about that old man he probably was the person who helped originally deliver the large sofas, with a great partner a young irish/ pr. Great service was rendered once upon a long time ago. Thank you, for the wasted time, thanks for your time, also calling into the office has been some poor attitudes, rudeness.

The Salvation Army USA driver and staff were rude

To whom it may concern,

I have had two scheduled pick ups with yourselves. However when I logged in online, only 1 would show which was for May 4th however the one for April 17th would not show.

When I called on April 12th to confirm things, the person on the switchboard was very rude in informing me that Salvation Army were now closed and unable to assist me until 07:30 the following day

On Friday April 13th, I called at 07:40 and was informed that they could not find my pick up. I finally put through to the dispatch individual who was extremely disrespectful and in tern said that he would not help me. I had provided my contact number, address and full name with no assistance. 20 mins after my call was ended, someone from Salvation Army (who did not initially identify themselves) stated, they had found my request and pick up was in fact for Tuesday April 17th.

On the day of April 17th at 07:45 I called again to confirm my pick up, i initially was informed they could not find my details and then 15 mins into the call finally someone found the scheduled pick up for this date.

The driver arrived at address just after 14:00 and took some items however stated there were scratches on other items, which in my opinion were in good condition. He in fact took a bedside table which had multiple scratches, hence I am slightly confused what the rational for that was. They were lazy and did not seem like they wanted to actually lift the items, and were looking for any reason not to take them

I called Salvation Army again, spoke to the operator and then was put through to Stan who was not helpful at all. He was rude, not informative, did not provide any form of reassurance, and ended the conversation with he would sack the driver, even though I thought this was a volunteer service.

Over all I am not happy with my experience with Salvation Army, and shall not be recommending your services in the future. If this is how you treat people who are giving things away for free. It says a lot about the programs you offer and the attitude of your organization.

The Salvation Army USA pick up

The driver didn't want to pick up our donation because he cannot find our address. We gave him the instruction and directions. My husband even went outside the cross street to meet the driver as what they agreed. He still cannot find it thatswhy he went ahead and go to his next route. My husband waited on that cross street for 15minutes waiting for nobody. The driver didnt answer my husband's call and he just call me and told me that he is on the way to the other route. I need to reschedule again for pick up. Very rude and unprofessional. He is the only driver who did not find our house since we moved in. We really want to make donations but if their driver is not willing to pick it up, then they will loose donors.

The Salvation Army USA pick up donations

Very rude and unprofessional. Been waiting 5 hours and still no pick up. I called and was told they don't know when he would be there, they can't get hold of the driver and just cancel if you don't want to wait anymore. Is this what you tell a donor who has been waiting outside for 5 hours? I told them that I moved, I just came back to to show where the items are and been waiting in my car since 1:25pm. Pick up was 1:30 to 4:30pm. Here we are 6 pm nothing..
Unacceptable and unprofessional. How can you not be able to get hold of a driver? Bs.

The Salvation Army USA racist employee

Hello,
I am a white women that went to the Salvation Army in New York City on 536 W 46th Street, New York, NY. I was in line between 2 women that could not speak English, and watched as the cashier (I do not know his name but he was an middle aged white man) continuously yell at them to take the clothes off the hangers, knowing they do not speak English. He was incredibly rude and after they left and it was my turn to pay, he made racist comments insisting that the " language barrier" is annoying and that people need to learn English in America. I am a young girl, 19 years old, and was appalled by his attempt to talk to me about his racist views. I am not asking that he be fired but request that the employees at this site be reminded of ethnic sensitivity and to not outwardly make racist comments.

The Salvation Army USA droste store manager

The white male manager, approx. age 59, long gray hair, glasses and a pot belly. Was very rude when i showed him a defect piece he was selling. When I pointed out a defect and the wrong tag describing the item, he got within 2in of my nose trying to intimidate me and kept staring, telling me if I didn't like it that's to bad.
In todays climate, this kind of behavior will not be tolerated and should be addressed by his "district" leaders.

The Salvation Army USA pricing at the clinton ia location

I am completely disgusted by the prices at this store. They are nothing but money hungry and are trying to take advantage of people. I was at the store March 22nd 2018 and was looking at the couches which are all over priced, but what really made me upset was one priced at $1, 450. Are you kidding me?! You recieve your product for free. You're supposed to sell to sell the used items at a bargain price. You can get a brand new couch for less than that. Everything in that store it outrageously priced and the woman who prices them named Patti should be fired. I will no longer donate to the salvation army and have my items be taken advantage of.

The Salvation Army USA very poor customer service

I was shopping at the Salvation Army on Richland Ave. in Aiken South Carolina today at around 4pm. I approached the cash register to check out. The lady who was running the cash register told me check out was in a different place ( about 1 foot from where I was at) and gave me a nasty glare. I asked the lady what the price for the childs lawn chair was. She stated she can't give me a price and the manager is gone so she can't sell it to me. I had a pair of childs shoes that also didn't have a price put for those she said she was going to charge me $4.99. I asked her how she can price the shoes but not the chair. She said she can do shoes. This lady had such a horrible attitude from the start. I told her to forget about the whole purchase, I wasn't going to pay $4.99 for worn out shoes. I also told her she needed to have a better attitude of she was going to be in customer service. I do a lot of shopping at this store but will not any longer. The lady was large, black and was wearing a dark blue tee shirt.

The Salvation Army USA cashier issue

Hello--
I visited the Gurnee IL location on Grand Ave last night around 530pm Central time. The cashier that checked me out gave me my total which was 10 dollars and some change. She asked if I had the change and when I gave her a 10 dollar bill and the exact change she said Thank You. I was standing there and she said "did you need a receipt?" I said No and she said Thank You again. As I walked away she cancelled the transaction on the machine and put the money elsewhere. I called to report it after I left and they said they dont have a manager on duty. I called this morning to that store to report it and the manager made light of it and said "maybe she was trying to cover her drawer if it was short"...the whole transaction with both the cashier and manager seemed shady and I thought you might want to know.

The Salvation Army USA manager and cashier at 2726 dix hwy. lincoln park mi

My mother and I where there march 13 about 7p at night. We went to the cashier and asked if a pan was half off and to cash out. The cashier told us it was so my mother paid for the pan. When we looked at the receipt it was not half off. My mother no longer wanted the pan we was only out the store for 5min. She talked to the cashier then to the manager while she was talking to the manager and the manager said no refund. But at the same time the cashier was giving a man a refund in the other line so I assume the cashier was related or dating this man. I did not know ur company gave refunds to only to people they know. My mother was upset said a few words she should not of said when she seen the man gettin a refund and the manager only offered her store credit. My mother left upset saying what happened to tell my girlfriend what happen before she got in the truck. Then the manager stood in the front of the store screaming, "get the [censor] out of here never come back im callin the [censor] cops right now if u dont leave." "told her dont worry we will never come back." and really because of my experience there I will never go to another salvation army again. I have went to that location since its opened. Ive even lived in a salvation army in memphis and have never had anyone from any salvation army treat any customer like that. I was even a manager myself at white castle around the corner for 6 yrs. I worked the midnight shift with a lot of people in and out and I would never and never have treated a customer like the the way ur two team members treated my mother. If you cant handle customers get out the business. And I will never go to another salvation army because of her horrible customer service.

The Salvation Army USA the salvation army store manager

Hello
I'm complaining about the mnager at the Darby Salvation Army in PA. She wrongly accused me of something I didn't do and she kicked me out and called the cops I didn't even do anything. I've been a customer for 10+ years. I always shop and donate with you guys. I think she doesn't want me there because I'm Muslim. And everyone there stood up for me because they saw how agressive she was being with me. I think there's something wrong with her. Also there was a lady there for me and she also said that she was going to file a complaint. 2 months ago I bought some things and she charged me $5 extra. When I confronted her she started to scream at me and said no everything is right. Then I told her to check the things that I bought and the prices and she did and it turns out that I was right. I'm a loyal customer I don't know why she's doing this I don't deserve this. I think she has a mental illness or she's using drugs with the way she was talking and acting with me.
