deli - vendor working there
8/8/18 went to the Safeway store #215 at 377 Keahole Street, Honolulu, HI. 96825. i went there to order a maki sushi roll. The rude short asian gal working for AFC SUSHI (vendor) with pink hair named Myra has zero customer skills and should be removed. She told me she needs to know the exact name in order to make it. There was no flyers, nothing posted showing pictures, no brochure showing prices, bulletin board etc. I go on telling her that "i"m not japanese, so how can i tell you the name if i don't know?". She ends up making a sushi roll and said its futomaki. I asked her what was inside, no response. She hands me the container of 8 pieces. There were 2 pieces of my sushi on the board. I told her i wanted those pieces too. She said all i get is 8 pieces. She said it goes to the next customer. That's hogwash cause they make it as they order it. I then tell her "why didn't you cut the pieces bigger then." No response. So then i said "your probably going to eat it yourself". Then walked away and reported her to the store manager. Myra shouldn't be treating any safeway customer like this, let anyone. Safeway doesn't need negative people like this working in there store, especially a vendor.
store needs help
The store in Mesa, AZ at Lindsay and University is a total disaster. The freezer in the deli was not working all the food that is supposed to be cold and frozen was not. I was there a year ago and the health inspectors were there inspecting the meats. The produce section was out of plastic bags all except for one roll. The other dispensers were totally empty. Plus, the bagger told my cashier that he didn't feel like bagging groceries so left me hanging and wanted to let me bag my own groceries, until I spoke up to him and reminded him that it's his job! This store seems so constantly be unorganized. It seems like they do not have proper guidance. They need management that actually monitors the employees, because they are definitely not keeping up with what they should be doing, or acting politely.
I want to correct that it’s was the meat department was not cold and/or frozen.
pharmacy - delay in ordering drug
I was disappointed to find out that a prescription I dropped off on a Wednesday did not get ordered until Friday which meant I received it the next Tuesday.
Safeway staff were not interested in my sense of urgency and did not offer to call other Safeway pharmacies.
When I picked it up today, I was greeted by Pharmacy Tech named Caroletta who went above and beyond to help me not experience a delay in receiving my medication again. She had a solution to my problem and made recommendations that will help me receive the medicine in a timely manner.
avocados
I went to buy food this week and every week I always buy avocados, the price now for avocados is $5.00 for 4 avocados and when I checked my receipt they charged me $ 10.00 instead of $5.
I can send a copy of my receipt and I still have the 4 avocados in the bag.
My receipt says that I bought 4 large avocados when I bought 4 regular avocados for the special price of $5.00
Please, if you can correct that mistake, I frequently buy at Safeway, since I do not like the Safeway store that's close to me, because I don't like the people that works there.
This is the reason that I shop in this store at Ocean Beach Hwy in Longview, Wa.
Couples times a have an incident like this, once with a donuts, second with the ice cream but this is the third time.

This rude African American woman rang me up, started at me waiting for me to awkwardly reach over the divide and bag my groceries. Calling me lazy. When I did not, she repeated the insult calling me lazy a second time and when I dared to retort, she then physically threatened me saying "oh you better be glad I'm at work"
Do you train your employees to insult and threaten customers? Do I have to start carrying pepper spray and a stun gun to feel safe in your store? Or do bring this to the media, social and local news? No one needs to be accosted and feel unsafe while shopping for food. I expect your immediate response.

store 3228 in fredrickson wa. deli
This deli has the worst customer service. Nobody greets you and they walk right by like they don't want to help. Nobody smiles and you can tell they do not get along. Today several of us customers discussed this as we had to wait for 2 girls to assist us while the other 3 ignored us. This is not my first complaint about the deli and quite frankly I do not understand why it has not been addressed. Maybe the folks at Safeway on Meridian can train your management and staff because they work as a team and care about the staff.
yogurt and produce
Yogurt was dated a month old. Carrott sticks I bought were slimy. Spinach leaves some of the leaves were bad already. Very disappointing. Receipt was badly faded. Didn't notice that till we got home. Or I would have asked for a new one.We live 30 minuets away so don't want to have to drive back for that. Won't by yogurt or produce here anymore! Gross!
steak
Hi!
I bought what appeared to be delicious looking steak. Looked like a great deal! I brought them home and turned them over only to be greeted by fat. Lots and lots of fat. I trimmed it off and my delicious looking steak looked like bite size steaks. Once done trimming, I realized I had more fat to steak ratio and was highly disappointed and highly irritated. I wasn't aware I was buying fat. Not steak. I decided to put all of the fat on a 10.5 inch tortilla and was blown away. There was so much fat that I couldnt even roll up the tortilla! How the heck would I feed my family of 4 fat?! I understand when buying meats there will be some fat. I bought 2 family packs of steak. Safeway ever so cleverly hid the fat by putting the delicious looking steak face up and hid the fat underneath. Next time I will bring a knife and trim the fat before I leave so I actually pay for what I can eat!
overcharged
I was shopping at the Safeway on 41st and Colby in Everett Washington 98201 I was overcharged for 8 Gatorades I had bought and did not get my just for U price of $0. 49 when I went back to the store and asked the manager for and showed her my receipt and everything she told me that she had over they were over-charging me but she refused to return my money that was overcharged that is theft I want to know what you're going to do about her stealing from me it's not acceptable why are your employees allowed to steal from the customers
Deli!
I love the Safeway in Deer Lodge...but it's ALWAYS the DELI that has problems! They overwork the DELI people first, and they can't do EVERYTHING by themselves! Then you have a certain manager that does NOTHING! I bought 2 DELI sandwiches for $6.99 today & the DELI person wrote it all down & it was picked up & imagine my surprise when each sandwich had only 3 slices of meat instead of 6! I ask usually for the Roast Beef, Pastrami, & Corned Beef. But the Roast Beef was old tasting last time, so I asked for Pastrami & Corned Beef this time with all the fixings etc.. She only gave me either corned beef or Pastrami! Nothing else! Last time my daughter talked to the manager. But, he did NOTHING as usual! We had to buy a pound of meat ADDED to our sandwich at home! $6.00 for F BREAD! I'M PISSED! They go through ALOT of people working at the DELI but this is it! I'M NOW JUST GOING TO SUBWAY!
Expired products
I am a frequent shopper at safeway, i went to purchase a medicine.I took it off the shelf into my cart.on my way to check out my brother checks the experation date and we find it was expired since march and we are in august. It is so frustrating.i could have been taking an expired medicine and god knows the side effects! This is unbelievable! And i took a picture for proof!
Action needs to be taken, our safety is in ur hands.

We live in Lake County, CA and were evacuated due to fire activity. Safeway was issued info from the CA Governor's office to help people obtain RX's from other areas since the Lakeport CA Safeway was evacuated, and so was our doctor's office. The doctor's answering service has not been able to get a doctor to step in and help patients in Lake Coubty. Ukiah Pharmacist Erica was rude and refused to help us for two days saying there is nothing she can do about it. Someone else at that Pharmacy helped us and the IT Dept at the Ukiah Safeway hung up on that person. We had our insurance company call Safeway in Ukiah several times and the issue 3 days later is still not resolved. The nice person at the Ukiah Safeway said several people are having issues with the RX's from Lakeport Safeway are locked up for some reason and the Ukiah Safeway cannot access them. My husband is in an extreme amount of pain and this is unacceptable treatment by your employee Erica in Ukiah, and unacceptable treatment toward your staff from your IT Dept. Normally the staff at the Lakeport Safeway are amazing and we never have any issues with them.
number of dogs allowed
There have been numerous times that i have been at the Safeway at 2020 market street, San Francisco and have witnessed blatant roaming of pet dogs with their owners and the staff at Safeway do nothing about it. I thought there was a health code that prevents non service animals in a facility that serves or sells food. I was at this particular Safeway, today, august 30th, and I counted 4 dogs in a 30 minute period. I was there between 1 and 1:30 p.m. If this doesn't change soon, i shall report this incident to the health department of San Francisco. Sincerely yours, Mr. Antonio Silva
shoplifting procedures
It bad enough that our product prices are high but they will not stop a shoplifters from stealing at the Safeway in kent wa.i sat for three days and counted the shop lifters it was unbelievable at least 32 each day and watched no body do a thing about it as a consumer that is sad employees will loose there job if they try to stop them and at this rate the store will be empty there won't be any product left but every time something go out the door my prices go up on the products that I purchase so I say something should be done about it
slippery mess
Around 205 today I was shopping, i stopped by the watermelon to check prices, as I walked away I slipped and almost fell (I'm pregnant, due in less than 3 weeks) I looked down and saw a smashed mess of watermelon on the ground. I told a worker, she said she would see if she could find a courtesy clerk to go clean it. Are courtesy clerks the only people allowed or qualified to clean up a dangerous spill? I didnt feel like that was a proper or professional response to a pregnant woman almost falling.
safeway cuew
Worst Safeway I have ever been to. Livermore Safeway CA. I would give them minus rating if I am allowed. July 27, 2018. First time to feel racism in CA after living there for 20 years. We were in a leisure trip, went to the store at 11pm. We tried to ask about soda and boy, we met the rudest stocker I have met in my life. We had to look for what were looking for before she curse or hit us. Yes it was that bad. Next, Lauren, the cashier. As grumpy as it gets. However she had the case of selective grumpiness, she was politically correct with the person before and after us. We were moving along the line, my wife was pulling the cart while I was paying so we can expedite the process since there were few people in line. Just of the sudden she almost yelled at me asking me to move the cart forward. I answered firmly that my wife is doing just that. Next she asked if we need bags and I answered no thank you. She asked me sarcatically is that a yes or no. What comes next is really funny if it wasn't sad. I asked the bagger to call a manager. Her name I believe was Alissa. Waited for 7 minutes patiently. Only to find that she went home. They grabbed somebody who claims that he is in charge but not a manager. His name was Tony or Joe. He wasn't even interested to hear what I got to say. Usually, as a courtesy they say I am sorry you felt this way. Not akgnoloedging any wrong doing. Not a sorry word from him. Just said that he will let them know in the morning. That was all. The funny thing i found that the headquarters is 10 minutes away from the store. And after reviewing comments on Google, found out that I am not the only one who is treated this way. Will call or go to headquarter tomorrow to see if they even care.
employee actions toward other employee
Saw an employee named Jacob act and treat another employee like he had mental retardation, imitating the speech impediment and making crude motions toward him then walking off. Heard the other employee state that was very disrespectful and unprofessional then just continued to work as Jacob left. I couldn't read the other employees name tag but I believe it was on his hat. Made me very uncomfortable to be there and I felt sorry that the employee had to deal with someone like that.
donut shop coffee
I just shopped at safeway and have for years, but I don't know if I will shop there again. I checked out and explained that the coffee I was buying had a sticker showing 5.88 and showed it was a Just for You., but it showed up as Maxwell house on the app. The lady at the register went to look in the aisle, and said she could or did not see it. I have a picture of it, but they would only give it to me for 6.99. So I said I did not want it. That is not the point. If you cannot and will not give the prices you have advertised on the shelf, then I will think twice about shopping here. Attached is a picture.

cleanliness
I am concerned about the entry cleanliness at our Safeway here in Cameron Park, CA. The employees are allowed to take their breaks outside and in front of Safeway and to the right of the entry. They are allowed to smoke and congregate. The area is filthy. There are cigarette butts all over. This is not the right impression to show to our tourists. Is their not an area out back for the employees to take their breaks?
To the right of the entry is Vitek Mortgage Group and Lyon Real Estate. Many transactions are conducted every day in those two offices.
Cameron Park is a stopping point for people from the SF Bay area who are on their way to South Lake Tahoe and on their way back to the Bay area. I would like the tourists to have a great feeling about Cameron Park, wouldn't you?
I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, just get the place cleaned up and find another area for the employees to take their breaks.
I frequently shop at Safeway.

healthy choice entrees cafe steamers
On July 24, 2018 at around 21:30 I went to your store #1289 to pickup some more of the Healthy Choice items that were on sale 5 for $10.00. When I got to the store I noticed that all of the Healthy Choice Steamers where out of stock. Safeway's did have a lot of Healthy choice items but not the Steams. I picked up a couple of item and paid for them, after paying I requested a rain check for #20 or 4 single rain checks 4 X 5 for $10.00 of the Healthy choice items that Safeway's did not have in stock and I was told no on my request and that that I could only get #6 items. I request to speak with the store manager his name was Harmon he stated that since there was a shortage that 6 is the maximum on a rain check. All I did was ask for 4 rain checks 1 for each item that Safeway's was out of and he still said no. I was polite nor was I in your store to argue with your employee over a rain check I did let him I would make a complaint against him he stated I don't care.
