My letter to Robinhood, which has gotten no response... (again!)
OK, this has been going on since March! Why haven’t you completed your investigation?
I have complied with every request to provide proof of my identity, when customer service claimed there was a security issue with my account and my identity. If you check your records you will see this is true. Then finally you sent an email saying my account was closed! I am SO frustrated!
What IS interesting is that you finally sent my original deposit of $1,000. back to my Chase bank account. But minus everything I had earned from my investment in Palantir! This proves you knew my identity was valid, or how could you have refunded my initial deposit with Robinhood?
As of March 31st, my balance in my account was $3,072.24. (again, check my record.) On 3/25/25 my balance was $2,976.98. Again, this was after I had requested the withdrawal of my total funds with Robinhood, including my earnings. So, minus the original $1,000. returned to my bank, I was (AM!) owed $1,976.96.
As of this writing, Robinhood has failed (refused) to return the $1,976.96 owed me, claiming my account was “under investigation” by customer service. It is now September 9th. You claim my account has been closed, but still “under investigation”.
I need some answers, and NOW please. If you, the rep reading this, are unable to address this effectively, PLEASE escalate this to your manager, then to the next one up the chain if it hasn’t been resolved, all the way up to Vlad Tenev if necessary. This situation has been terrible for me, and will very likely affect the reputation of Robinhood, which I think Vlad would want to be aware of, don’t you? ([protected]@robinhood.com)
