I purchased a super cool lens from Robert's Camera, and at first I was thrilled with my brand spanking new Sigma 170/500mm lens. But, let me tell you, I fudged up big time! After speaking with their fabulously friendly customer service rep, they advised that returning the lens was the best course of action and they'd give me a full refund. Let me tell you now, that was a relief! So, I shipped it back and tracked it via the postal service. Tracking indicated that it made it safely to Indianapolis, but I didn't have verification of delivery. Naturally, I was a bit concerned, and decided to give Robert's a ring to see what was going on.

Thankfully, Robert's was able to verify that they had received the lens, no problemo. Plus, they assured me that the correct lens had already been dispatched to me! Talk about making the process easy breezy!

The very same day, I received a notification that my credit card had been credited back the full amount of the original purchase. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. The whole process was as smooth as butter, except for my dunderheaded mistake. But that won't stop me from returning to Robert's for all my future lens needs.

In fact, let me add that the new lens is just fantastic! I'm one happy customer!

I jus' went 'n traded in my sony camera 'n lens fo' a Tamron 18-400 lens at Roberts Camera. Da' mail in process was easy usin' the label they gave me. Da' equipment was valued at what I 'spected fa' sure.

I received da' new Tamron 18-400 lens quick but it was makin' a weird buzzin' sound when I connected it to my Sony camera using da' Sigma MC11 converter. I tested da' lens usin' a different Sony camera and converter 'n it still had da' same issue. I also tested out a different Tamron 18-400 lens with my camera and converter and it did not buzz, which made it pretty clear the problem was the lens I got.

But Roberts Camera really came through when they sent me Miguel. He helped me get an exchange straightened out quick.

Now I done mailed my first lens back to MPB and reckon it should be arrin' there Monday. I'm excited to get the replacement lens soon ya'll.

One thang I wish they had at Roberts Camera was the ability to split my purchase between two credit cards. I had a gift Visa card I wasn't able to use fo' this purchase.

The M Zuiko 300 mm pro is an absolutely stunning machine that outperforms the competition. I personally tested out the Panasonic Leica 100-400 and the M Zuiko 100-400, but as soon as I found out about the M Zuiko 150-400 pro and its hefty price tag of $7,500, I knew I had to find an alternative. That’s when I stumbled upon the M Zuiko 300 mm pro, which I was able to purchase in perfect condition for less than 25% of the cost of the 150-400. I also added a used MC-14 teleconverter, which was in flawless condition and allowed my max 35 mm equivalent of 1,680 mm, including in-camera digital reach of 2X without stop down. What a bargain!

I use the Olympus OMD E M1X camera, which doesn't have image stabilization with the Leica, and some, but not impressive compared with the Olympus 100-400. However, the difference in the keeper rate is near 100% compared to only 10%. The combination of the 300 pro lens with my camera is nothing short of amazing. I particularly love how the lens is stabilized in finding my subject and when I focus by pressing halfway on the shutter, the stabilization literally locks at 7.5 stops. Furthermore, the glass is superior to anything in the M Zuiko line and I’ve tested that claim, as I also own other pro lenses, including the 7-14 and the 12-100. The all-metal casing and operating feel are also stunning, and quite a distinction from the 100-400 M Zuiko.

The lens is slightly less than 9" in length, which makes it easy to carry in my backpack or Cotton chest carrier with my camera attached. Additionally, it is half the weight of the 150-400, which I believe makes it easier to carry on hikes. The service at Roberts Camera, particularly from Scott, Corey, and Meredith, has also been top-notch and very reliable.

At first, my only reservation was the lack of zoom feature. However, I soon realized that for telephoto shots, I typically use the max focal length anyway. While the zoom feature would have allowed me to capture the subject in more detail, I saved over $5,600 including the teleconverter by purchasing the M Zuiko 300 mm pro. With its incredible 146X magnification, I can now capture bison on winter trips in Yellowstone or even find wildlife on the moon for all I know! I'm extremely happy with my purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance lens without breaking the bank.

When I received the camera, I was pretty disappointed. The body had a lot of dirt on it, which was not what I expected. And when I started using it, it made weird noises. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong or that it was just acting up at first, but it continued to squeak when I advanced the lever.

So, I decided to take my camera to a repair shop in Portland. The guys who worked there told me that the mirror was squeaky and that the light seals had to be replaced. And I was like "What the heck?" because I didn't think I would have to pay for something like that when I had just got the camera.

Anyway, the repair shop guys were kind enough to offer me a deal and said the work would cost me $143. I thought that was quite a lot, especially because I had already paid for the camera from robertscamera.com. So, I decided to not get it repaired and to buy a new camera from a different company instead.

In conclusion, I'll not be buying from robertscamera.com again based on my recent experience with them. The camera I received was not in good condition and the repair cost was too expensive. So, from personal observation, I cannot recommend this company.
