Did not pay tax preparers rebates
It is sad that it looks like i am going to have to take these losers to court. They duped me out of 1700.00. I am looking for other preparers they have duped to proceed with a class action. We have 2 others. I know there are more. I have been promised my rebate on several different occasions and through the BBB but they still have not paid.

Software would not convert my data from Pro Series correctly. I contacted their worthless tech support team and they could not make the conversion work. Their solution was basically to rework all my prior year returns to make them work in their software. That was not acceptable so I requested a refund. They refused to refund the purchase price. It is January 17th and still no W-2 Software.The 1040's are still draft forms. The software does not convert 1040 clients as promised, errors on depreciation on every return. I called sales today, no refunds for the software after 72 hours. (Very nice since it is purchased months in advance) I have gone back to my old software company and purchased today. Don't waste your money!

The latest update that was posted Saturday messed up my working tax program, when its doing the automatic update it suddenly stopped and rec'd. error message "repository network cannot be found" and stopped downloading. When I tried to accessed the program it will not run and its loooking for a network drive, I am not on the network, program was installed on a stand alone computer. Up to now if I tried to download the update (ver. 7.xx) I am getting the same error message, cannot accessed the program. I am using a laptop, Win7(64), 4gig mem. 500g hd and Intel I3.
One more issue my desktop will nott even run since the update early last week, reloaded how many times still will not work. My desktop is an AMD quad core with 6 gig memory and 2gig HD.

Service Bureau Fees Collected are stolen by TRX Alliance
We have been inquiring about the service bureau payment since June. We were told that they would be mailed July 1st, then; between 1st and the 15th; and then thru the 31st.
It is now Nov.17, 2010, We still have not received the Service Bureau Fee payments. We spoke to Josh a few months weeks ago who told us to wait 'til the Monday after which was after the 31st of July and that he was instructed to tell us that if the check were not received by the 31st of July he would overnight the checks to our office. I guest that he didn't know that his offices would be closed that week because he was moving. It appears to be intentional. Since then it has been one lie after another. He has now decided not to answer e-mails as promised anymore while he continues promoting his business on the internet. I am listing below some of Doug Hughes answers at TRX ALLIANCE below:
#1 TRX wanted to send you an update on your Service Bureau Fees. As you know, Doug Hughes met with an acquisition attorney on August 24th, and he was told the deal would close within 30 days, which is September 24th. This is where we got the September 24th date. Again, Doug spoke with the investors on Monday, September 13th to make sure the deal was still set to close for September 24th, and Doug was told that it wouldn't be a problem. Doug has a conference call about this on Friday, September 24th and we will update you about your Service Bureau Fees after the meeting is over.
#2 Update on the Rebate Money owed to you. I have been in meetings and conference calls all day today and for the past 4 weeks constantly. I was told on September 24th that we would have everything finalized within 30 days and in turn I relayed the same message to you guys. I am working this on two fronts, one of which is through a group of investors that will also bring TRX Financial a new product for TRX Alliance Members to offer this tax season. Working with the investment group does take time and these groups of investors do understand the urgency of getting every single one of you paid NOW! I tell them how urgent it is every day. The second method is that Kathy and I have been working with the mortgage company to get a loan
to make sure everyone gets paid, but everyone knows how the closing dates get changed or underwriting holds you up especially with the current banking industry today.
I will assure you every one will be paid and starting Monday I will be sending out an e-mail advising you the status each day until you have been paid. As I am sure each of you realize with my staff and I we are on the verge of a complete melt down because we have not been able to pay you guys yet, because we all think of you guys as not only TRX Members but members of the TRX Family. I personally want to thank everyone that has been praying for TRX and me to get through this. Please remember be kind to my staff they are not responsible for any of this, it is all on me and if you will allow me I will get you paid very soon.

Do not conduct any form of business with Doug Hughes or TRX
Warning: do not conduct any form of business with Doug Hughes or TRX, they will lie to you over and over for their own gain and you will never recover your money owed or products promised. Doug has been making promise after promise to me and many others since mid July and he still has not paid what he owes us.
Doug Hughes and all of his cohorts belong in prison and from what I hear, the wheels of justice are moving toward that end.

No service bureau check as promised
I've been dealing with TRX for 3 yrs and this past tax season i let TRX convince me to take advantage of this service bureau fee which turned out not to be a benefit but a nightmare. This was my hard earned money. And the lastest thing I was told from TRX was he purchased their own software and he's waiting on investors or funding in order to pay us our money. What does this have to do with me. I worked for that money not Doug or anyone else at TRX. I've called TRX numerous times and have had numerous correspondance from Doug each time telling me something different. As of September 1st I have not received my check and as I'm reading their's other companies going thru the same situation. And from what I was told they moved into a new building to better service their customers. What is better service your customers. Is this good service. This is bad business and like others I needed my money to pay my bills this has majorly effectived my livelyhood.

TRX is just misleading everyone
I have lied to and mislead by Doug as well. I was told I would have my check by the firs week in July, then by July 31st. Then I get a email from Doug stated that hey were having problems with employees and they had to fired them and the checks were issued but they could not send them until there "investigation" was complete. The he tells me that checks would be mailed by the 1st on this week. Now I get a email stating i will have to wait another 30days! I for a lawsuit against TRX because they are stealing and misleading there clients.

I have not received anything from them to date
During the month of May 2009, I spoke with some of TRX Alliance representatives, namely Michael Dodd and Todd Reynolds. They offered the 2009 Taxwise Program for $299.00 plus shipping if purchased by May month end. The shipment would be done in December 2009. I thought that this was a really good deal. I had used the Taxwise program from 2001 to 2007 so I knew the Taxwise program very well and I figured that I would buy this program and not have to deal with any new program. I paid $328.95 for everything. They gave me my registration code so that I could install the 2008 TRXPRO- TW (Taxwise) program and use the program. They told me that I could prepare any 2008 tax return with the program. The only thing that I could not do was to electronically file returns - which is understandable. I installed the programmed in May. During the week of October 19th I was contacted by TRX regarding converting the clients from my 2008 tax software to the TRXPRO - TW software. I returned the called and did the conversion on October 29, 2009. The conversion went very. I had 3 clients whose info was not converted and I was told that I would have to enter those clients manually. So far, so good. All I had to do was to wait for the software in December. On December 2, I called TRX- Alliance to inquire regarding applying to Santa Barbara Bank (SBBT) to do the bank products. I was told to apply and I did and submitted the application to SBBT through TRX- Alliance. I called back on December 7 to see if SBBT had accepted the application. I was told by Andrew (Andy) that the TAX Wise Company had blocked my EFIN since I had used their software within the past 5 years. So TRX-Alliance could no longer offer me the TRXPRO-TW software which I paid for. They could replace it with their TRX program and I can learn their program. That was not the deal. I paid them in May for the TRXPRO-TW software because I knew the software well and I did not want to learn another software. They promised to deliver that software. Now seven months later, they said they cannot deliver that software. Well if they cannot deliver what they promised and I do not want their alternative, then all they have to do is to refund my money. I asked them for the refund. They would not return it. Then I spoke to Karen Bills, the manager or VP of sales and she told me the following three things:
1. I had three days to cancel.after I purchased the program ( I told her that there was no need for me to cancel within the three days since I agreed to everything) Nothing changed within the three days. It was seven months later that the agreement changed and this change had nothing to do with me.
2. I purchased a membership. I paid for the 2009 TRXPRO - TW software which they promised to deliver in December and they sent the 2008 software so that I could get prepared for the 2009 software. Nothing was ever mentioned about any membership until now. Membership to what and for what I do not know?
3. She said that she was too busy and she does not have the time to talk with me any longer. What a way to deal with people one originally pursued.
Since then, they have changed their website to reflect that TRX - Alliance is a membership and even listed at the bottom that you must cancel within three days. The TRXPRO-TW software is not even there.
Today, because it is so late in the year I had to purchase my new 2009 tax program at a higher price because I missed out on the other early bird renewals in May by purchasing the TRXPRO-TW software and believing that I had a jump start on the tax program.
All I am asking is that TRX - Alliance refund me the money I gave them since they have not delivered the software I ordered. In fact, I have not received anything from them to date.
