Shark Vacuums destroy carpet fibers. Each time we use the Sharp the cannister is loaded with carpet fibers mixed in with dirt/dust. I have spoken customer service at Shark and the say impossible. NO they are more than wrong. With these machines it is impossible to adjust the height of the beater bar, just the suction and what the Shark reps fail to...

Shark Vacuums Repair parts needed

I love the way Shark vacuums work -- until they don't. One time the motor stopped and I found the only choice I had was to order the entire bottom end where the motor is (I threw it out instead). On another one, the pet lifter stopped working. Hubby decided it only needs a new belt. Shark doesn't give you that choice; they want you to buy a new pet lifter tool. Now my third shark has stopped altogether. Lights work, but it will not turn on.

I have always loved Shark vacuums until 2 1/2 years ago. Bought an upright brand new. It worked great UNTIL a year later the clip on the tank the hooks onto the main part of the vacuum snapped off. I called Shark and since it was still under warranty, they sent me a whole new one. This one I've had a year+ and the same damned part snapped off while I was vacuuming! I called customer service (which I barely understood) I gave him all my info on this vacuum. He had to "talk to his manager". He came back a few minutes later and said his manager told him that I'm probably TOO ROUGH with my vacuum so they can't just sent me a replacement tank for no charge, I have to pay for it BUT, he would give me a discount of only $30 intead of $50, I told him that I've been vacuuning for 30+ years and I am NOT ROUGH on my expensive vacuums and I think that making me pay for a part that clearly is defective since the exact same piece broke off is a rip off. I will NEVER buy a Shark product again. I also told him "you might want to give the Shark people a little tip and tell them to make the cords RETRACTABLE! NEVER AGAIN!
